neighbours are driving me crazy! They are getting all windowframes taken out and new ones in... the noise starts at 7 am and continues on until 10 pm. Ugh.

the workmen start at 7 am and work until 4 pm. And then hubby comes home and they work at it themselves until 10 pm.
oh for pete's sake!! you poor thing... hopefully by working like that they will get it all done quicker.
I really hope so. They started last Friday.
we have noise pollution laws here. no loud noise of any kind before 8am . but the 10pm is cut off time here as well. midnight on weekends.
it is about the same here. But for construction work, it may start at 7 am because that is when their workday starts here.

the grands are doing well...in fact, there's another on the way (due in May)! :)

I know what you mean...I do exactly what you say because, frankly, I can't afford to pay a professional place to do mine and give up the percentage taken (especially when I get the same result in my "test" before going to them to check)
and yet i have clients who "prepare" their returns and i find mistake after msitake. . .
There's that, too...thus the periodic check up with the pros...sadly, my returns are so basic, it's pretty sad (in a good way). :)
