frozen tundra here.. good morning
i heard its warmer in alaska...
It probably is warmer than Alaska.
I think when the clothes come out of the dryer I will throw them on top of my bed and roll in them.
Hi une
crap . . . just took dogs out one by one to pee -- ice and sleet and ice and sleet -- snow would have been sooo much better

gm, everyone! stats for the lone D bottom left corner?
I haven't found that yet

Ty
Got it.
it was a stab in the dark to find it.
No idea what it is but that is okay :)
i agree, sukee
Well, looks like we are not going to get the -40 wind chill today, only -29C
brrrr, it's been unseasonably warm here the past two days. record breaking high friday was 54°F
Very nice.
I could live with that.
We had a record breaking cold for Friday 13.
nice, but it means a lot of melted snow, landslides, avalanches, rising rivers...
That is true.
I had over 2 feet of snow in my front yard...it's all gone!
We were spoiled until January here.
those arctic blasts have been wicked on you poor Canadians.
Still better than last year but I still don't like it.
time to move to warmer climes, sukee
I wish.
Taking a break, brb
Good morning from the great white north:) another day of bitter, bitter cold here:)
Wind chill is ONLY minus 30 today but the aair temp is about the same, so little wind
tadone!! finito! gm, Crossy
Can you guys help me out? I have one word left which, despite knowing at least the first three letters, I cannot seem to find nor monkey - it's the no6/27
last 3 Marquis de S***
or, m*** in the USA
good morning, hi o-o
Hello, Annie
got the no6, thanks
matty, did you get the no 6 ?
Yep - I do now. I realised where I was going wrong - what I was SURE was the third letter...wasn't
Fireworks - thanks guys!
yay for matty!!
I love to get up in the morning and watch the temperature plummet instead of rise, tis minus 28 and falling with the wind chill at minus 35:) Sigh... no skinny dipping again today....
now there's an image I don't need...
temp has gone down 4 degrees.. waiting for the heat wave
bright sun though and it sure looks pretty through my frzen-shut windows
frozen
I hate not being able to open a window:(
we are withing one degree of breaking a temperature record that has been in place since 1943 for this day.
Hello kids. Minus 15F here. Brrr.
howdy scrabby. I am frozen in as well:)
hi friends - sketchy lap top today, so I might disappear with no warming, but saying hi whilst I can.
minus 18F on the old scale
Hi Snowbunny! How is your body holding up with all of the shoveling?
*Sends warm thoughts Trif's way*
I am DONE with shoveling
I just drive over top of the stuff now:))
Valentine and i are headed to florida on thursday, and praise God
How are your new wheels performing scrabby?
Oh wow, if there was ever a time to get the hell out of Dodge, it's now. Good for you Trif.
Actually i guees it is almost 2 years old now like my Jeep. Tempus fugit
I got my Crosstrek in June 2013 and love it. I need to buy new tires now, at 24K miles.
Hoping the threatened cold snap heading south leaves us alone. I mean!
Yes, I got my new toy in August 2013
This winter is making even tge nicest people churlish
I am just coming up to 20000K and the rubber is holding up well
You all got hit hard, Trif. Every time I see weather reports from your area, I shudder.
Your tires are really heavy-duty, Crossy.
more bush mileage than hwy:))
Of course, Crossy. Ontario safaris!
Cannot wait for summer till I can run it on the goat patsh on the mountain again
path
We are hoping to go to the Saranac Lake region in August for kayaking and portaging amongst lakes.
very nice:)
We cannot wait to start hiking once again
Nothing finer that speding the say under the tree canopy
spending... day..**
Yes!
I miss my hikes more than anything else:(
I will be picking up a Hennessy Hammock to replace my day-pack bivvy. You should check them out, scrabby. They are a great thing to throw into you back-pack if you are undecided if you are going to overnight in the bush.
They weight in around 4 pounds, so it does not stress my self-imposed 20 pound day-pack weight limit
does not hurt that my Trangia alcohol stove weighs mere ounces:)
We would more likely stay in a lean-to than a tent.
I do not alway want to build one, so this is a good alternative
The ground seems to get harder every year:(
There are lean-tos all over the Adirondack Park.
Oh we do not have all that stuff
Nothing out where we go unless you make it or bring it with you
We often hike to a lean-to then spend a few hours there--swimming in near-by pond, making a fire, playing SCrabble.
very nice. I bring Yatzee dice game with us. mrs can see it better
That and a deck of card and you are all set

Hi Zooz

I saw the word "leadeth" (which Enable does not accept) and now I have He Leadeth Me running through my head.
jusy had some blood tests done at the hospital..and when she put the needle in my amvein it sent a shockwave down my arm,and ne of my fingers is now tingly numb!
Oh dear.
Well that is a word, Car.Silly enable.
that happened to me one time zooz, it took awhile but it did eventually go away.
Ouyr nurses are mad dogs when it comes to using needles. I had a ct scan done a bit ago, and she missed the vein entirely and injected the entire lot directly into my arm. I had this great bubble of fluid swelling my arm and it burnt like hell. They had to put ice packs on it for 20 min
contrast fluid she was trying to inject
Ugh
Thanks, Joseph I do hope so..I keep rubbing it gently hoping it will bring the feelings back to normal :-)
That happened with my epidural with the second son. They had to pull it out and give me another.
Good grief, Crossy..I will never goto your hospital that is for sure!!
Sounds like it is a wide spread occurance then.

Hello, all. How's the grid today?
I've still got three blank tiles driving me crazy
Harry, I thought you would already be around the bend from all that snow y'all have had up there.
oh. so maybe it's not the three blank tiles. maybe it's the water coming down my walls and through the ceiling
Ugh!
I don't know how you Massachusetts folks are staying sane. I would have lost it two storms ago.

Hello dan2bit! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog.
phandmd, I am so sorry about your kitty. Losing a pet is a terrible loss! At least your kitty got to live 16 good years.
yes, Jaxx, they sure do. I do take comfort in knowing I adopted him from the local shelter and most likely extended his life by 15 years.
Ours was a gift from the neighbours. Their cat had one solitary kitten and she came to us. her mother used to nip over the garden fence and sit patiently at the cupboard where we kept the cat food until we fed her. Clever creatures cats, know which of our buttons to press.
indeed!
still trying to work out that AN 7 word.
got it now.
the last word I need is the DO 6
Night all past 2am here. Tc
Goodbye jaxx7! I'll see you tomorrow the in the chat log.

I've been sitting here for a good 25 minutes trying to figure it out

Ho 6

pronunciations i mean
:-) here's to comfortable brains!
Ho 6...bad at clues but I'll give it a shot. something you call a young girl when they're agitated...i'm guessing its an old world. rhymes with holden too.
Thanks Svet
sorry, bleu - missed your ask, wasn't trying to ignore you. ho6 means tomboy
makes more sense
te6 please?
te6, to become not so warm, or not really enthused
hey all --
to make luke warm?
beginning of indian house and most of for your information
thanks
that's an odd one.
hey jes -- should I worry that the gf is refusing to feed the snake? It has been almost two weeks since we last fed it... and it only had one item when normally it would have two.
I am so worried that it might be hungry. I hate being hungry.
if snake is warm, and accepts food when offered, should be offered every 7-10 days
snakes go dormant over winter though, some stop eating
more often if small meals, less often if big meals. what are you feeding?
snake is warm, haven't offered food. Will insist on it tomorrow when Grant is here to help me. I am VERY nervous about touching it when I am alone.
Rats.
No 6
It ate the last one tout-suite!
you shouldn't touch her while feeding - petting and eating are not compatible activities :)
execution by drowning, Bleugirl2
are you feeding frozen-thawed?
no, but she has a feeding box. And yes, thawed out.
so putting her in the box is something I cannot do
gotcha. gf doesn't sound that responsible. why is she refusing to feed?
she is worried that after not eating for 6 weeks feeding too much too soon would be a problem.
not so much an issue, no. snakes have AMAZING digestive tracts that are adapted extremely well for going from nothing to huge meal to nothing.
I thought as much. Thank you.
I will push harder, and we will make sure that critter is well cared for. Thanks again.
I think your son needs a new GF
I am down to 37... but not many 6s yet
Not my decision to make, ruru.... she is young.
a link for you in your instant message :)
:-)
anybody else need a link to an article about snake digestion? :D
I am sadly unable to wrap my brain around your no6 clue, svet. got an alternate?
