I am trying not to be clutzy anymore
That's good - a lesson for us all ;)

*Guesses saan is in the c's*
Already tried that one!

Aw, so sweet, Flosey!
:D
not sure where to find them, ru
LOL
Only a couple?
don't ask me
None on SSI?
well.. I am slowing down a bit liz :D
oh, am sure there are many, Liz, I just don't know the younger set
Rubbish, Ru. You're a similar age to me judging by things you've said - nowhere near slowing down yet!
You'll have to put an ad in a local shop, Flosey! Virgins wanted for CA man!
lol, wouldn't that look good!
It'd give people something to talk about.
LOL
ooooooh, and talk, they would
LOL
Yes I could meet them at some office...
Unless you were talking about the ce 7, I'm obviously not adding the right letter or in the right place!
and defile them :D
No sacrifices required!
Fun guaranteed.
yes ru, perhaps the cop shop
probably the only virgins on SSI are sheep
Are you muddling SSI and NZ?
doing both and France too next year
Ah. Found the ce 6
You'll love NZ even more than you expect to. And France is fabulous too.

Good clue :)
tks ru
funny thing is that al gore isn't good with tippers :D
*that joke might be a bit of a stretch*
*waits for people to get it*
Not sure I'm getting it :( Don't know much about Al Gore or US politics.
his wife who divorced him for playing around was named Tipper
OK - now I understand - sorry about that! Would've been funny if I'd known that!
Awful having to explain jokes.
well.. you are in another part of the world ya know
time to get ready for bed.. you kids have fun without me now. :D
True, so I'm excused on that one.
Sleep well Ru.
good night ru
'night ru
thanks for the laughs.
I'm taking a break too, Flosey. I've come to a grinding halt. I'll be back later to try to find more. Have a good night all of you.

Morning all. Does the te7-48 play off of ta4-5? Thannks
Sorry, ta7-48. Thanks
Thanks anyway.
hi Peach, couldn't sleep so back for a few more words, hopefully
Good morning, everyone:)
good morning all
((sprite))
*hugs crossy* How are you, and how is Mrs Elegant?
We are both fine, and you?
I am fine too :)
:)
Life goes on while we wait for the big lottery win:)
you too hm?
Me three!
Howdy, Scrabby:)
hiya Scrabs :) We so need to rob Fort Knox.
I woke up at 5 despite alarm set for 6. I never got back to sleep. :-(
I would be satisfied with being able to hire someone so i personally never have to do my own laundry ever again:)
Same here, scrabby
I'll do your laundry if you will do my hoovering and dishwashing.
I do not mind hoovering:)
And everything else--shopping, cleaning, etc. A personal assistant.
I actually enjoy vacuuming.
a robotic me, to do everything I don't wanna and which I can turn off when I don't need it.
Yes! my own P.A and yes-person all rolled into one:)
You give them a list as you step out the door each morning:)
Yes, Sprite.
Sprite, I think I have told you before. The next town east of me is the Town of Holland.
etna
Free clue!
name that proper noun, Pride and Perjudice...
ty ,scrabby. You give the best clues:)
Mr Darcy
lol that is funny, Scrabs!
Crossy, I want my clues to be easy to interpret, unlike some very cryptic ones that I never understand.
dingdingding Scrabs scores!
you succeeded at that, Scrabs. They don't get any better than this.
I am the school doc for the Holland Schools so I go there multiple times through the year. Their mascot = Dutchmen/Dutchwomen.
Colors = purple and yellow
was watching the x-files last night and Scully had to look after her mums dog while on assignment. The dog's name was Queequeg. I thought the name was so Interesting that i had to look it up )I have yet to read Moby Dick)
awesome name
Yesterday I read about a possible new X-Files show.
how lovely, Scrabs. In (old) national clothing too? On wooden shoes and all?
Sprite, every spring there is a Tulip Festival, with a parade and a designated Tulip Queen.
sounds like funn
fun*
I am still grinding through the original series. There are over 200 episodes and I never watched a single one in all the time we had cable. Have to love netflix for gorging on a series;)
Sprite, much of this area was originally owned by the Holland Land Company.
Crossy, my youngest sister was an X-Files nut but it took me a while to begin watching. Scully always bothered me--flat, subdued zombie.
lots of names in america remind me of dutch. Places and areas I mean. Must go back to the founding, when lots of dutch people made the journey.
never could get into the Xfiles. It bugged me they didn't solve stuff, just left things in a mysterious nothing.
Of course, Manhattan was originally called New Amsterdam. There is a city of Amsterdam, New York about 4 hours east of here.
And Rotterdam, NY is near there too.
lol that is so funny. Odd, kinda, to go emigrate and then pick a name from home for the town you found.
We have a Holland Marsh here, and it is very famous. It is an area in times past where a glacier finished its travels and melted, dumping billions of tons of nutrient rich soil in one location. The soil there is a rich, dark texture, and vegetable grow there in a quantity and quality that can be had nowhere else
Interesting, Crossy.
interesting!
"you can google it for detailed info. it is really quite fascinating
That can be my tidbit of the day:)
Thanks!
indeed. Good tidbit
... It's not called New York because they came from London ... ... but let's see ... I live in Whitby ... my cousin in London ... there's Cornwall ... there used to be Berlin for the Germans but they changed that to Kitchener ... of course there's Waterloo
The soil is of such a quality that people have been known to try and sneal in and pinch a pick-up truck load
sneak
hi dos! I definitely spy a theme there
please do so and send me some, crossy :D I am trying for a veggie garden again this year... I have black thumbs, alas.
... and Scrabbler forgot to tell you that she's not all that far from Warsaw and Moscow either
... did the grand tour of Europe one afternoon driving around the Adirondack Forest in New York state
hhahahahaha that is a quick way to do it, dos
I have a bit of Irish near me. I am minutes away from a little village call Craigleith.
Yes, doseffing--towns of Russia, Moscow, Poland, Holland Patent, Barneveld are in the Adirondack Mountain region. I have driven through all of them.
Actually it is not much more now than the old train station, an intersection and a park on the water
And we know the sources of Lake Champlain and Lake George.
I really wonder how that works in people. I mean, if I would decide to cross oceans to start over in a new place, I wouldn't pick a name from home for that new place.
... are they really looking to start over? or are they trying to rebuild home the way it should be but isn't because somebody changed it and is in they're way?
Of course many towns are named after people.
yeah, that was what I was thinking too, dos
... oh well ... time, tide and the bus waits for no man ... gotta go ... good days and good luck to all
Bye, doseffing
Of course after a long sea voyage i am sure many an explorer dearly missed their homeland and wanted a littler reminder of it in the new place
bye dos, have a good day
fireflies. Very nice grid. Some oddball biggies though.
*hugs* my friends, and have a lovely day.
Bye, Srpite. Enjoy your day.
tc, Sprite
And I must get ready to take on the day. Bye.
Have a good day, scrabby

en+ shortened form of the Life of Walter *****
ty, dianne
Had to google ole Walter though:)
ten bloody V words and i only have one so far:(
Last two : ar 7/32; ta 7/48 clues please
ar 7/32 has to do with spiders
I can see this grid is going to be painful:(
Oh, for those who have been following my suggestion to Dr_G on upgrading babble a tad, he sadly states that the time investment needed on his part to freshen this old game would most likely not result in a viable return for him. However, he will keep my ideas in mind:))
crossy - 2 of the v are the last part of the CV and 2 others you double the middle letter
Ty ladycece, I shall look...
I found the CV ones:)
woohoo
