Have a good evening, Diz
good morning all
Hi and hugs, sprite. So happy I just turned on my iPad and saw you :)
*hugs Liz* Hello dear friend! How are you and your beloved doing today?
All's fine here and with you and yours?
here as well :) Just my love having a troublesome knee at the moment. Which does not do miracles for his mood, of course. But everything else is fine!
Aches and pain are enough to spoil any mood! Hope it's soon better.
Did you sleep well last night?
yeah he needs to go back to the othopedist. All this messing around with inflammation killing meds is fun, but not helping at all.
slept like a dead woman. I slept all afternoon yesterday, then decided to take a sleeping pill early in the evening. Feeling LOTS better now :)
Is he looking at surgery :(?
how's the weather overthere?
Still like summer and we're a month into autumn.
yeah, looks like they will have to remove the ummmm don't know the english word. Looking it up
Cartilage?
ah right, the bursa. Appears you have two in your knee. We only knew about one, and so did our GP. But the orthopedist said now it was the other one.
Never heard of it! Assume he can manage without it.
{{hugs}} sprite and {{hugs}} liz girl.xoxox
Hugs, Rose
hello rose! *hugs* my darling. How was your day?
Another good day Rose?
yeah, seems we can do without them, indeed.
another good day here. the sun was shining. after church we cleaned out the MIL's gardening cupboard.
Find anything useful.
wow. And how is your body reacting?
That's awesome :)
it's fine. i sat down, and don brought the stuff for me to check and decide if to go or to stow.
you must be over the moon, rose. All this and the body still feeling fine. Am so happy for you.
i was actually making decisions with out any brain-fog.
Amazing how your life's improved.
oh wow, that is even better. That is such a rotten feeling.
I mean, brain-fog is a nasty feeling. Being without is beautiful.
glad to see you managed to get some quality sleep, sprite.
sure did, rose. Actually, my body demanded it. Couldn't stay awake in the afternoon, finally decided to go back to bed and rest a little. Then woke up when they called me for dinner, lol!
liz, we just watched a program in which three jewish grandmothers were passing on their recipes for passover delights, to their grandchildren. at the same time also handing on a little of the family history.
Sounds interesting. Crickets been on all afternoon here.
What channel. Perhaps it'll be repeated.
did they make the recipes available to the watchers as well?
col...no danger of that here. don only interested in the highlights.
Have a recipe book which sounds similar.
it was on Compass on the ABC
it was called Taste of Memory
I'll look for it.
unfortunately no sprite. i think these family recipes are probably very carefully kept secrets.
There's 30 mins of Compass left here, so I've set it to record.
that's what I was afraid off :(
name that proper name. He is about to die for us all.
Fabulous book - Monday Mornig Cooking Club - similar idea. Group of women in Sydney, who've collected family recipes with some of the history.
so it looks like Rob needs an arthroscope.
Not for me! Lol!
lol Liz
*looking up arthroscope*
*rolls eyes* liz!~!
Well ......
yeah i know.....and i respect you and yours.
We'll ju4 have to differ in opinion there.
yeah, I think so, rose. It is the same knee they removed the other bursa from a few years ago.
Same here.
it drives me crazy when people fail to realise that jesus was jewish. born, raised and died.
sorry gals, didn't mean to bring up a religious dispute. Just was playing name that proper noun. The answer, as you know, is Jesus, and whatever He was, he was a beautiful soul.
I accept that and accept him as a teacher.
yeah, just read an article that explained how Jesus never was a Christian.
No probs, sprite. I saw him in the grid anyway and enjoy the proper noun game.
same here, Liz. The central part for me of Jesus' teachings is that love is key, and his words that 'all I do, you can do too'.
To quote, he's not the messiah. He's a very naughty boy!
no dispute sprite. liz girl and i are fine with everything about each other. one day, i am going to participate in a passover meal. i would really like that.
lol. Naughty is good. Naughty is power and thinking outside the box.
No offense intended to anyone!
That sounds good Rose.
I would like that too. I am very much interested in the jewish faith. I love the books of Faye Kellerman, they are so instructive.
oh... maybe one day, girls? We can share a passover meal together?
And believe me, rose, you're welcome to my share of matza.
It'd have to be here! I don't eat out over Passover.
am sendiing up prayers now for the Big Guy to make that happen, one day
Get your flights booked gals!
one year i shared a greek easter, starting at midnight in their church. it was fantastic. an incredibly moving experience.
That must've been interesting.
my best easter ever was a celebration over a week, preparing for easter and ending in the celebration. We danced (Sacred Dance), and did many things around the bible text of "God has no hands but ours" and the nature theme of the caterpillar and the butterfly. We also kept a flame burning in the night before the crucifixion, keeping watch, everybody for an hour.
Never heard of doing that but it's always good to learn.
that sounds marvellous, sprite. just a heads up girls, dinner is about 10 minutes away.
Hubby is pin - boning salmon in between each over!
it is a tradition here for some, to stay with Jesus in the night before his crucifixion, to wake with him as he asked, but didn't get during his life. The whole Bleibet hier und wachet mit mir.
oh, yum, salmon...
that one went right over my head, Liz, sorry. Pin-boning? Between each over?
I love hearing about different traditions.
cricket - each bowler bawls 6 balls, then another takes a turn.
Taking the pinbones (the finer bones) out.
It's the final of the cricket World Cup. Australia playing New Zealand.
it was in a center that lives in the Franciscan tradition. And the miraculous thing was, a homeless man came at the door during that night, asking for a bit of water. Our teacher asked him in, and washed his feet, and gave him water and food and a bed for the night. The man insisted on sharing a watch with us at the flame. And he told us about his life. In the morning he left and we all felt blessed having met him.
A lovely experience, I'd think.
ah right! Thqanks Liz, now I understand :) I was trying to see how the boning of salmon was a part of (pass)over.
wow!! true meaning of generosity....unthinking giving to someone in need.
Ah! So many conversations at once. Passover isn't til next Friday night. Coincides with easter this year.
yeah, so you will forgive me my total bafflement, Liz, lol
:)
rose, that is how this teacher and his wife live their lives... I showed you their pictures, Hein and Brigitte. They have their own center now and do such beautiful things.
yes, you did. they must be very special people i am thinking. no wonder you like them so much.
they live truly from their hearts. And without going into 'holy' mode at all. We can just as easily laugh at a naughty joke as tear up in emotion.
Sound like good people.
they are :)
okay, timer just went off. bbl. xoxox
enjoy, rose!
Funny thing rose. A friend just emailed to tell me about that Compass programme. It's on tomorrow morning, so I'll record it.
I laughed so hard at the word lists you sent me, Liz.
Ah! Missed her!
:)
I've almost finished the Lackey books. Reading about Kero.
I thought you'd like the list.
Made me laugh top.
Too
ahhh Kero is a good 'un.
Happy that Tarma and Kethry have reappeared.
That sword of hers is interesting... it will feature in other books as well.
Yes it has. In quite a few.
yeah, they are a sympa couple, aren't they.
Like I said I think I've almost finished the books now. I'll read Nick next to finish those off.
awesome! Let me know when you need another series. Oh wait, I sent you the Sword of Truth series, right? You will be fine for another while, grin.
I've got loads for the moment. Really grateful to you. But I'll be sure to let you know when I'm getting low on reading matter! Almost time for dinner here too.
I really enjoy sharing my books. So never hesitate to ask. Enjoy your dinner, Liz :) And a hug to the both of you.
Hugs to you too. Happy to have caught you - it's been a while.
true, dat. I really enjoyed your company
Same :)
Catch you soon.
brb, need another coffee and some breakfast
byeeee liz girl. enjoy your evening. sprite?? you back yet??
back!
xoxoxox
got sidetracked, washing machine was done so I folded a load and hang up a new one.
how was your dinner?
yummy, roast turkey tonight, with cranberry relish.
omg that is so yummy
workcover psychiatric assessment tomorrow. :-(
oh dear :( Not the nicest assessments. I so wish the whole ordeal was over with for you. They are dragging and dragging.
sweetie, i am just rolling along. i am getting the treatment necessary for my knee, that was the most important part. the re4 is icing on the cake.
very good, darling. You know I have your back, all the way. Just wish I could get 5 minutes alone with the workcover people. In a closed room. Soundproof.
not that I am vicious in any way, of course
omg.....at the risk of being thought not allowing the individual to be that, an individual....i had the most great friend who is dutch. her temper when she was on a righteous roll....
um yeah... too true
the most loyal friend, but when she was angry, she would let it rip, sometimes forgetting i don't understand dutch.
hahahaha so you have been scolded in Dutch? That can be very... picturesk.
she was never angry with me, just at the way some people treated me. she would get very indignant on my behalf.
I often think that when I see american movies or series... it is f*** this and f*** that. In Dutch, things are more variated, lol.
the way you are treated would piss off most of your friends, no doubt.
you know i
you know i
you know i
you know i
aagghh!! sorry
lol. Wake up my darling. Remove your face from the keyboard before you get an imprint.
*giggles* Ok, let's try this again. I know you....what?
this laptop is doing such weird things. sometimes i am writing an email, look up and cannot for the life of me find what i have just typed. the cursor is off the page somewhere else, and i never touched it.
are you using a mouse?
a cordless mouse. so once i put the cursor on the email page i don't touch it again.
you may have to deactivate the touchpad.
i thought it was deactivated. will check with don. and it just did it again. i hit the space bar, and babble closed.
yep, sounds like the touchpad. I hope that is it and Don can fix it for you.
as i was going to say...you know that i am a church-going anglican, right? i have this sort of theory that the evil in others picks up on the love of God in me, and it reacts by making that person nasty and hurtful to me.
oh, new babble word: animust - animal you definitely need to have (or be)
hm, I can see how that could be. My kinda sorta theory is that when I see evil in others, it is because there is something inside myself that I should look at... I see others as mirrors for myself.
okay, as mirrors for yourself. but in mirrors we are reversed. so the evil you sense in others is actually the good in you.
rather their evil is the opposite of the good in yourself.
that is one way of looking at it. For me, I often find that what I see in others, especially if it offends me, is something that in some form or other I have inside me as well. As a part of my Shadow, as Jung would say. And if I can look at it and put it in the Light, it can become an asset.
good point, sprite
*hugs rose* God how I love talking with you.
i should hope so * butterfly kisses on sprite's nose*
*giggles* That tickles!
sweetie, i need to get my meds ready. will you be here in about 10 minutes?
for sure. Am nowhere near finished yet.
okay. xoxox
and back. sprite i just walked backwards and forwards from our bathroom to the kitchen, four times. about 100 feet in all.... no pain
wow rose! That is awesome.
and i wasn't toddling along. i was stepping it out too.it feels so good.
I can imagine. Such freedom, all of a sudden.
sa 6/21?
hello gran
if you could only be formally diagnosed as FM. then you could get the proper treatment.
I have the latin plural of a place where you are safe, a holy place
gran, think blessed, holy. it's a latin plural
must take it up with my doctor, rose. But the other thing came in between... and a lot of symptoms can be explained by being overweigth as well. So will do this first, and then see what remains to be treated.
i know hin. but even when i was half the weight i am now i still had the symptoms of FM.
yeah, I probably will too. I promise I will keep it in mind and get it sorted out in time.
by all means go along the road you are about to set out on. i have your back, you know that. but FM can effect people who are thin as a rake.
I know. It is definitely not out of my thoughts. Am gonna have it sorted out. But one step at a time.
agreed sprite. this new path is gonna be tough. but i will be praying for you, if that's okay?
oh please do, rose. It really helps.
please keep me up to date when appointments etc are. then i can be more specific in my prayers.
will do, my dear friend. It is funny, but when people pray for me or send me good thoughts, I can actually feel it. It is like a protective cape around my shoulders, if that makes any sense to you
absolutely sprite. that is the power of prayer, hin. a warm soft blanket around you.
that is exactly it. You know, when I was younger and stupider and very very depressed, I was so certain that God hated me. And then I had a miscarriage, and some people prayed for me. And I felt this warm, protective cape around me and I realised how wrong I had been. How real God's love is.
I killed the chog. So sorry. Got carried away for a second.
nah, i'm here.
good morning..hi sprite, no you did not kill the chog..was here all the time
hi rose
hi Annie :) Great to see you. How have you been?
hi annie
Im doing pretty good, hi rose, so nice to see both of you
good to hear. Any new developments in your life at the moment?
sprite, I am in a quiet place right now and am happy to be there.
good for you annie.
oh I totally understand that! A quiet place and stretch of life is a very happy thing. Isn't it a chinese curse that someone 'may live in interesting times'?
I am not grateful for the world situation right now. The plane crash is much in my thoughts and ISIS is troubling and frightening. It is better to speak of the weather.
very true. I am finding it scary too. I pray that all involved will prevent war. Please God. And the weather here is rainy, and coldish. Too cold for the seeds I sowed last weekend :(
you still with us, rose? Getting sleepy yet?
**yawning ** only just....
cold here too. It snowed for a bit yesterday. I am so ready for spring.
old man winter fighting till the end, Annie. But he will have to make way eventually.
*holding rose in a long hug* You go and sleep well again, darling. You deserve it 100 times over.
have a peaceful sleep, rose
thanx dearest. i hope your day is all you need it to be. annie lovely to see you are still alive and kicking. * grin * xoxox
aiming for a quiet day today. Already done the dishwasher and the laundry, so did my share for the sunday.
Today is Palm Sunday, is it not?
yes
yes I think so too
going to put up a pot of coffee, be back soon
hi jj
hi
hard puzzle
hi jj
Jesus' entering Jerusalem a week before His crucifixion, right?
yeah, am having trouble too, jj. Not easy at all today.
finally managed to grey out the C here.
wow good job
yeah it was rather difficult for me. Some weird words.
Good morning, everyone:)
crossy! *hugs* and greetings to Mrs Elegant
My beloved is still abed:) The cats woke me up. They are demanding breakfast:)
such demanding creatures, lol
Has anyone got the E word
yes, I do. Eu8/50. Eu + electricity that has no place to go.
Oh thanks I don't think I would have found that!
yvw :)
thanks, sprite, great clue
ty anne:)
wn
sprite I mean:))
I was wondering
Not 100% awake here yet:)
thank you :)
Was up till 01:30 am and the cats get me up at 06:00 a.m, so a tad foggy
Think a tea is in order;)
ugh, short night
um, how is "smush" not a word
ikr... enable is so odd
Enable is a mysterious enigma:)
a conumdrum in an enigma in a riddle, lol. Like Japan.
conundrum*. I think.
Yup:)
monkeys are working hard here
This is a tough grid:(
sure is. Am finding it interesting. learning new stuff.
ah! For the old-school babblers among us: I found the fish!
me too
good :D
Hi again - also finding the grid hard! When I was chatting before I had stalled at 70 left :( Now down to 66 so that's improving! i also found the fish!
Hi Liz :)
wb Liz :D
Preferred yesterday's grid.
My 7th Babbleversary is in June, but I see no fish:(
poor crossy. You are a newbie, my friend. But a dear one :D Look at the J. ju5/22 is a fish.
Wow! I'm still such a newbie - not even 3 years yet.
I don't have that word! sh 4/6 is a fish.
I know, sprite. You were pretty well here when Dr_G turned the lights on for the first time
I did not come on board till 2008
almost, indeed. Long before the pro-dom even existed. So was Annie.
lol and su5 is made from fish
sh4 is a fish also
brb
found the fish ty
Found the ju 5/22 - good guess on my part - so a really fishy grid then.
that means I did about 4000 grids :D
Wow!
lol Liz... so the ju5/22 is a fish that is not a fish. Not a fish as in a fish-worthy word.
Yikes!!!!
*giggles* Childish fun at the whole phrase of the fish that is not a fish.
I am still campaigning for a babble upgrade. Been in contact with Dr_G, but it is a long-shot at best. However, i will keep putting the bug in his ear about it. You never know:)
Good morning.
Sounds like the beginning of a joke - when is a fish not a fish?
good morning sukee :) How are you today?
Hi Sukee
Howdy, sukee:)
what kind of upgrade would you like, crossy?
indeed, Liz :)
Not too bad, had a decent night's sleep for once
hi sprite, liz, crossy.
oh, that makes so much difference, sukee. Am happy for you :)
morning, sukee
A new dictionary, and a secondary, weekly 10x10 grid of 1000-5000 words that you can access on days when the main grid is small
I opened my account, cant find the date I started playing babble
you started april 2006
this is so weird... my son is talking on the phone with a depressed friend... quite loudly... can't help overhearing it. And he is saying wise stuff... familiar stuff too, lol. Omg... do you think some of what we told him has stuck???
april 16, 2006, Annie
oh thank you, sprite and crossy
I started March 2006.... just missed my anniversary.
When I click on your name and pink icon, Annie, I see that you started on April 28 2006 - why do I see a different day to you, sprite?
sprite where did you find the date?
You see it when you click on your picture
It is in your profile
ah , thank you
I absolutely am dead against another dictionary. I love our enable. I want words like ywis and inia and crwth to be valid. But woot, I support a weekly big grid. Absolutely too.
oh Liz, you are right. I see the same date as you. Just have my fingers on the wrong keys.
I think a weekly grid would be amazing
I also like the quirkiness of enable but I do think it could do with a bit of updating.
hehehe as they all said, click your icon and then in the upper right corner of your profile
next year, it will be 10 years
I wouldn't mind expanding our dictionary. With words like internet etc. But not taking away the obsolete ones, please. Much too nice to learn about them.
I agree with that.
what about naoi
just think of it; being able to bounce between the daily and weekly grid at will. it would add a whole new dimension to the game;)
Seems a few of us started in 2006 :)
I got the JU fish word, sounds like Superman's father :)
yeah, naoi and naos and so many others. They have become dear to me.
I like your idea crossy, something to do when you finish the other one quickly
hahaha indeed, sukee!
that would be a good clue sukee:)
d
hi Nono
A chilly morning here with frost on the roofs, going up to around 4C though. It's also sunny.
that would be really cool, crossy. I'd love a weekly big one.
I think 3500 would be the max though. Thats 500 words/day
I have taken up a new hobby, coloring :) Discovered lots of adult coloring pages online. It is a great stress reliever and a good way to get off the computer :) And, by adult, I don't mean X rated :)
We must have time to eat and sleep:))
sukee, Check this out. This lady creates the most amazing colouring books for adults that i have ever seen!!...
http://tinyurl.com/modwwyq
When I was in England, at the National Gallery, I bought a book of dot to dot for adults - 1000 dots per picture. They create tonal pictures. My theme is animals.
awesome, sukee. You could do mandalas too. So lovely.
When i saw this I even wanted one!
You could google Thomas Pavitte dot to dot
oh wow, that sounds great too, Liz. Would love to do one.
Yes, that is what got me back into it A friend posted that on Facebook. I started with a mandala.
Her name is Johanna Basford, and she is incredible
omg I want one too!
I would like that book. Have to find a way to get it without Amazon since I don't have a credit card.
Great link, Crossy. Fab pics.
Simply beautiful art work for people to shade in
I've also done colouring for adults - a while ago though.
It's also supposed to be good for Alzheimer's patients.
When I was in my 20s you could buy posters with attached pens to color in, I bought a lot of those.
maybe someone with a cc could order it for you, sukee
I remember those! Doodle-art
preferably someone in your country, that is
Those were the types of things I did.
I found that Pavitte book.
It's great fun - I like it that the dots are colour coded in groups of 100 - still sometimes tough to find the next number!
I keep asking people for Amazon gift cards :)
I did so many dot to dot books when I was a kid :)
Anyway, downloaded a few free pages. One is a Mary Cassatt painting.
sukee, I could send you Amazon gift cards for the amount you need, and pay it by cc. And you could pay me back through paypal. Would that work for you? You can let me know through my email (is in my profile)
There we go! Babblers will find a way!
Down to 52 but really not seeing any more. perhaps I'll be more awake tomorrow. Good night from me and hugs to all.
gn Liz
night night Liz *hugs* for you and your beloved
That would be excellent Sprite. I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Hi! Just found I can Babble on an iPad!
Hi kids.
Angel, some Babblers have had trouble doing that, but others have not.
'morning, babblers
Hi welki
tadone!! finito
tricky grid.
Yay dawg!
wtg dawg - still a bunch left here. going to be a beautiful day here, hope you have the same weather
think we're suppose to get rain. my bones feel like it will. not sure what the weather liars are forecasting
We will have a sunny day and a high of about 40. I am meeting a friend at 2pm to cross-country ski.
all our snow is gone. I now have a deer poop covered lawn.
fertilized by smart pills - can't get more ecologically correct. we have ours done by rabbits
I have deer poop covered snow.
I'm back.
I'm not sure how good of a fertilizer deer poop is. I know we'll get a lot of weeds from it.
I have bunny poop around my bunnies' litter boxes. And I finally cleaned out Gandalf's room yesterday. He died on Feb 19 and would have been 12 next month.
We still have piles of snow, but they are getting smaller every day.
we had a lot of rain yesterday morning, dawg, but supposed to be sunny and about 60F here today - will be riding with the top down :)
60 ! Wow!
I'm sorry for your loss, Scrabs. You had Gandalf forever!
The deer do have areas of grass now and are eating constanty after starving for Feb and most of March.
He was my oldest bunny ever, dawg.
60 was Friday, mid 50's yesterday and weather.com says 57-ish today.
We have not had spring weather yet. The ski resort across the valley is still open.
here, the bears are waking up and coming out of their dens - outdoorsmen/women will have to be very careful
hmm, wonder if your rain is headed this way. we could use it. keep fire season at bay for a while longer
I just want it to get warm enough that I don't have to wear my winter coat.
I haven't heard of any bear sightings yet, but the cougars are out in vast numbers
dawg, if yesterday's rain had been snow, we'd be shovelling out for days. was a steady downpour for several hours. sounded nice, the air smelled beautiful afterwards.
cougars are always here, now we have bobcats in backyards, deer, coyotes, rabbits, skunks and the occasional moose and bear
Do you often see cougars and bears, dawg?
I love to listen to the rain. but not at work, tin flat roof is too loud to concentrate
welki, you see moose, bobcats, bears and cougars too?
I have a program on my iPad that is an alarm clock. When I turn it on I can listen to a thunderstorm for a few minutes, with heavy rain :)
I had a black bear here in my yard last June.
Nice, sukee.
I've seen bear in my back area, but not any cats. the cougars like higher rockier places, unless their food resources are short, then they'll come down closer to civilization
cougar, moose - have never seen a bobcat and bears only outside city limits
You are in Montana, dawg, right?
We have moose, tho I've never seen on in my neighborhood.
sukee - the program, is it an app that you downloaded or did it come with the iPad?
Yup, scrabs, Montana, 60 miles south of Canada
We have coyotes here and I have seen them twice when hiking in the woods.
I downloaded it, can't remember the name right now.
I think it cost me about $2.99.
The first time a coyote passed us on the trail I thought someone lost their dog. Then I realized it was a wild dog.
I can choose music from my itunes library to wake me up.
I know we have coyotes, but again I've never seen one in the back, foxes and pheasant, and raccoons mostly back there with the deer
It also records your sleep patterns and any noises during the night. I learned that I snore :)
saw a fox cross the road last night. startled me, too busy looking for deer.
'morning, owl
morning, welk.
hi TO, I'd be watching for deer too. they make for a bigger accident than a fox.
and on that note, I think I'm going to go get some brekkies. hagd everyone!
at least, it was fox sized.
Owl, foxes are gorgeous, aren't they?
It's called Smart Alarm Clock :)
I will look for it, sukee.
Finally finished my 1st run through. 40 left and I'll come back later and list.
Wow, gramma, good for you. I need 166.
I'm going slowly today, 155 left.
But, I have to go do some work. I might be back later.
Good Sunday morning, Babble peeps!
Hi Judi
15 J words. Just shoot me.
*bang*bang*
You missed. Oh well. Just as well. There is laundry to be done.
12 of 15 Js found.
I have just 3.
Although typing "just" just gave me 4. Haha.
And the plural for 5.
I think there's a double jeopardy penalty box just for you Scrabbs,.
<---sprinting to the PB
Any excuse to dive into the Sunday Brunch.

Hi Jane
She still felt a bit nauseated yesterday. Poor thing. I need to take her out for another appt tomorrow--carotid artery Doppler sonogram.
Hi Jane
Good luck to both of you.
Maybe a kid's booster seat might help.
I think a pillow on the seat will help to elevate her.
good idea.
does height play a role in motion sickness?
she can't see out the window.
Motion sickness is caused when the brain does not get visual input of motion toconfirm what the inner ear and rest of body tell us.
interesting. i find that seeing objects passing by seems to trigger it in me. especially while flying.
disonance
oops!
stuck on the last ni6/21? help please so I can go wash my hair?
Help Jane wash her hair. :)
I don't have it, sorry.

I know.. we have two waves of guests (so far) coming
gets my spring cleaning going
Why? They just trash the place anyway.
lol hego
Wait till they leave. That's what I do. :)
Especially if there's kids involved.
there are kids. Ouch grammatical error!
one couple has two kids.. the other couple has none.. kids are in the first wave.. but they are teen boys
They just mostly lay around and clutter up the place.
probably will be on digital devices, but we are trying to divert them by getting them out on the water, encouraging them to paddle a kayak, etc
they should like that. It's lovely there.
think they will have a great time
ah Florida...

hey welki -- haven't been on at the right time to see lilliann in months. :-(
Hi dear. Going back to watch the basket ball game. See if Gonzaga can pull it off.
Yep. Finished all the grading I brought home, saw Matthew and Bibi briefly, now planning lessons and hoping I have everything I need for the week.
Love you.

Hi lynxxx :-)

Sitting in the morning sun watching the spirit of Tasmania leave Port Melbourne, lovely. Could stay here forever
those are my great granddaughters, lynxxx... the older one is not 4 yet but the little one is so attentive when she pretends to read to her :-)

crab has gone up so much in price, it's cheaper to buy lobster here
I'd save some for the PB but it's not my purchase this time - maybe next. ... Cod is a memory from East Coast childhood. good too. Lobster (maine only!!) includes airline fare ... I think they go First Class.
Mummy. This has gone from my memory I think...You migrated here and then went back?
Yes, we were on a work sponsored visa, that came to an end so we had to return to uk, worst thing we ever did, but have grandchildren there now so came good in the end, but still call Australia home!
I only have the nice seafoods and lamb when I go out to eat.... hubby is not fond of any of them!
hello all
hi Owl
what on earth does hubby eat for protein, diane?
hi Owl
hi,lyn
Hi TO :-)
hi, diane.
He loves beef, chicken and eggs!! ....he's very healthy for 77 !!
hi, jwr
it is so cold here! spent the afternoon looking at lovely pastel Easter frocks and imagining myself in them, frozen.
I could've guessed beef -- most men settle for that. He's got a couple of years on me but I have to admit that my doctor has pretty much convinced me into fruit n veg-ism - That's why I appreciate having so many different possibilities when I do get a taste of crab, etc. (my portion will be mostly artichoke)
It's about 94 here right now....we are staying inside. Soon enough though, we'll be heading home to more moderate temperatures!
here, it's about 60F, so we'll mosey out to the porch in a little while for a drink before dinner
in canada?!
walking shoes on - out the door. Back later to see if I can get the last 40.
yep, we've had a few warm days - but i'm sure we'll have another storm or two before spring settles in
bye jwr - enjoy the crab and artichoke

bye, Lynxxx
bye, lyn
Michigan State, Duke/ Kentucky, Wisconsin. are the final four.
That's what I gathered. Thanks!
This is the only time I watch basketball. I filled out my brackets as I have done for ten years or so. I don't think I'm getting any closer to picking winners than I was earlier but it makes for a little more ownership wanting certain outcomes.
I sort of half way follow it. Not seriously. Unless a local team is doing well.
Gonzaga is as close to a local team that we had. Oregon played but they are from Eugene which is a long ways from Puget Sound.
same here, we consider gonzaga to be local. Also the coach for Utah was a former Montana player. That's about it.
as7?
as 7 - a + type of electricity
