hi guys hi flo and rose
{{sandy}} xoxox
how are you all getting along - hope no one suffered with the bad weather over there
we fortunately live in a sheltered valley. so we survived quite well.
do you live in the country Rose?
not really. on the outskirts of melbourne. couriers consider us rural... lolll
ha - couriers don't come to us - we get a note from the post office
how have you been sandy?
ok thanks- we are having lovely cool weather and the paddocks are green. We get some big storms here once winter arrives. How have you been? (I feel I am falling into the Babble trap again)
i'm doing okay, thanx sandy. enjoying retirement.
so how are the plans for the property going?
Oh I know something that has happened since last I was on - I have our first grandchild , a girl called Annabelle-she is gorgeous and is already being brainwashed to ride horses! I read your profile - 12lbs is a large baby!
We have built 2 sheds and we are about to build the two chalets- it all takes time - all the local workers don't work if the surfs up!
how wonderful sandy. welcome the grandmother-hood.
yeah, have been watching the surfing championships. some awesome waves !!
oh dear... meant to type... welcome TO grandmother-hood.
sandy i think you are progressing nicely.
Its lovely living here, we have views over the neighbours vineyards and the olive farm dam (I really worry about making spelling mistakes when I am chatting lol)
Hi all and hugs, Rose
Hi liz
{{hugs}} liz girl xoxox
Congrats on the new baby, Sandy
Thanks - we are enjoying her I must say
Just here for a few minutes - going to a barbecue soon.
oh yum. i so love a bbq. save a chop for me, please.
Think it's just a sausage in bread tonight. i don't think we'll stay long.
oh dear. do you a back up plan?
One thing about living on a farm - we have a nice grassfed angus in our freezer plus some of our sheep
I'd get too attached to the animals.
lemmie outta here. sandy i'm on my way....
back up plan is to come home to some beef!
nce, liz. knew you wouldn't let DH down.... lollll
The cow is our neighbours and all the work those sheep cause - I enjoy eating them!
Lolololol - his plan!
Good for you, Sandy
He's less keen to go than me!
so what's the occasion?
From my synagogue.
Lag Ba'Omer is a festive day on the Jewish calendar, celebrating the anniversary of the passing of the great sage and mystic Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, author of the Zohar. It also commemorates another event. In the weeks between Passover and Shavuot, a plague raged amongst the disciples of the great sage Rabbi Akiva. On Lag BaOmer the dying ceased.
Always celebrated with a bonfire.
how interesting. thanx. i won't make a fool of myself by trying to pronounce those names.
;)
I'd never think you a fool
Convenient that I could just paste that from the advert flyer that came yesterday!
I forgot all the things one learns when playing here
I love Crossy's tidbit of the day - always interesting.
and here i thought you were being all knowledgible and stuff.
Well I could've given you a similar but simpler explanation - stuff about the plague stopping.
its been a while for me so I haven't come across his titbits- this must be a new thing
damn I mean tidbit!!
Not sure how long he's been positing them.
*posting
I will look forward to them
*giggle* posting, positing, pretty much the same thing... lolll
And I can't even blame auto correct for that.
How can there be another 72 words in this grid?
good morning all
Hi and hugs, Sprite
Hi Sprite - How are you?
{{hugs}} my dear sprite. xoxox
hold on... let me position my titbits...
sandy!!!!!!!!!! Omg that has been AGES! How are you?
*hugs rose and Liz* Hello dear friends.
I'm fine I feel I am falling back into the trap of wasting time again. but it is nice to see all of you still here.
spending time with friends is never wasted time :)
roflollll. just pop one behind your left ear, and the other behind your right ear. there you are....comfy??
much better, thanks rose :) Good idea.
I suppose you have already finished the puzzle Sprite!
lol
Agree with sprite - wasting time only applies if you don't enjoy how you're spending time.
silly sandy! I am just logging on. I have a whopping 14 words in.
I thought 30 seconds would be enough time for you!
only with some guys
ha ha
And sometimes that's too much
true, dat
is the evil rooster still bugging you, sandy?
rose, how are your shoulders now?
settled a bit. the tablets helped.
no roosters here but we are going to get one soon - we have a nice little lot of black Australorps and they need some love.
am so glad. I hope the infusion will be soon
What happened to the shoulders Rose?
get a nice rooster this time, lol...
100 down - time to stop for now. Great to catch up with you again, Sandy. Hugs Rose and Sprite (from both of us)
bye Liz, have a lovely evening and *hugs* for the both of you
see you Liz , have a nice barbie
enjoy your evening liz. xoxox
I have to go and have some wine - but I shall return
ok san, bring us all a glass please
ok, note to self... 'person who' everything
brb. himself has dropped a clear button on the floor.
a clear button?
lolllll. little clear self-adhesive pad to put on the bottom of a remote to stop it slipping about so much. found it. it had bounced and stuck to his slipper.
ah ok! lol.
tell him he should have left it there... would have stopped him from slipping around so much.
mmmmmm, nah not gonna say anything about himself's slipping.
good girl
phantom: oriental
close but no cigar
exactly that, lol
hard to believe this grid harbours another 80 words
they are there, dearest.
now you, I believe
if one can have fi4birds and fi4horses, why not a fi4Li4?
good question, sprite.
that's me. Good questions all around. Answers... not so much.
you are very quiet, darling. Are you ok?
knee keeps spasming. but other than that, yup, i'm okay.
poor you. *sends over a platoon of painkilling angels*
thanx darling.
so how are you, sprite?
I am ok. Still tired though. Oh... and I thought to go easy on the diet for one night... ate pita bread. Paid for it by becoming sick afterwards. Guess you can't go back to eating carbs that easily.
oh, poor you. no, you have to ease the carbs back in, sweetie.
found that out the hard way, lol. Man I felt so rotten. And a lot better after I emptied my stomach.
hello. The sun is shining, so I thought I would say "hello" to my friends.
hey ruby! *hug* haven't seen you here in ages. How are you? And how is Burt? Any help? How were the weeks with daughter?
fi4flies
WTG SPRITE !!!!
{{hugs}} my dearest ruby. xoxox
I am a little bit better, but still don'tknow the cause. Have a scanner appt. but not 'til the 26th as doctor doesn't know what's wrong.
The problem is that the main side effect of the morphine, makes it impossible for me to take, causing misery.
oh no. why can you not have the morphine?
Burt is healthy but acting stranger and stranger. I don't get a lot of sleep because he's up and down during thenight, hunting for the remotes for the TV which are always in the same place
Morphine is like eating cement, if you know what I mean
okay. can you take senna tablets, ruby?
poor ruby :(
|I took senna tea the other day and spent the weekend spasming
I am so tired of being sick! The pain has gone on for months now
I know, it is very debilitating, chronic pain.
I haven't had a proper meal since last Wednesday
down to 43.5 KG
not good, ruby. You've got to eat.
I drink orange juice and eat yoghurt and a little veg soup I made
I have to go, so sorry. *hugs* to you both.
is there anything which is gentler that you could use? like green tea ??
I'll try it
{{hugs}} dear sprite. i hope you have a good day, sweetie. xoxox
{{sprite}}
I sent you a "plant" mail, rosie
thanx ruby. xoxox
and answered, ruby
I admire you multi-taskers! If you see Sandy again, pls tell her that a letter will be forthcoming, but that it's been a bad winter
will do ruby
The wether is warming up and I am so looking forward to getting outside, but can't yet. My son is coming toward the end of the moth, happily, solo, so that should be OK
weather* month*
nice, ruby. may be he can do something to help you sort out burt.
He acts better around other people but is driving me crazy and, feeling so poorly, I don't have enough patience
i can understand that ruby. i find myself biting my tongue with DH.
and Do is just a kid!!! (as are you) copered to us
his age doesn't stop him from making remarks/doing stuff which drives me up the wall.
Don* compared* I think the pleurisy has eaten my brain! lol
s'okay. i read rubyese quite well... lolll
my eyes have become blurry of late but I was able to get a (|rare) ophthalmologist apt in Lausanne and our friend is driving us
That includes a great Italian lunch, if I can eat properly by next Tuesday
will pray that you start to fe4 a little better soon, ruby. you have been through the mill this year. *gentle hugs*
I think we've been through similar mills, rosie
aww, bless you love.
my friends and neighbors have been wonderful through all this. My closest neighbor, besides making new cushions for the outdoor chairs (gorgeous ones, btw), made me a patchwork for the accompanying table.
She brings me food and does my shopping.
how delightful, ruby. isn't lovely when our neighbours are so attentive?
The housekeeper walks the dogs and feeds the birds, even on her days off, and her husband is dying of cancer.
I am truly blessed
uh oh, himself is thumping around
xx, my friend
ruby, you are so fortunate. not one relative has done anything to help DH and i through all this. no wait, i lie. when we moved into MIL's rooms as our bedroom, my sons came when i asked them, and helped move the bed and put it back together. but no cleaning, no washing, no ironing, no shopping, no gardening.
xoxox my darling ruby. may your day be blessed.
dinner ready. bbl. xoxox
Good morning, my friends:)

*hands crossy a couple of matchsticks* what time is it, mate??
06:06
well that is better than about 0400 is it not ??
yes, and better than no sleep at all. I do count my blessings
*giggle*
I have had several three hour nights in the last month or so:/
And I survived another year as of today:)
yuck, crossy. i hate those sort of nights. i particularly dread the early waking, and not being awake enough to get up, and not sleepy enough to go back to sleep. *sigh*
you birthday ??
It is:))
many happy returns, dear man. may you have a wonderful day. xoxox
:))
Almost time for me to awaken my better half, so I best get some coffee perking first. brb
happy birthday, crossy!!!!!
tyvm, Une:)
Think I will go over to the dark side and have a coffee as well. I am usually a tea sort of person, but this is nice perked Colombian dark roast:)
mmmm sounds great -- off to grab a cup of the dark stuff myself -- back in a bit :-)
minus 1C today and frost on everything:(
This is why our rule of thumb here is to never plant before the queen's (Victoria's) birthday on May 24th
Good morning kids.
Here we say to not plant until Memorial Day (May 30.) I am in Zone 4-5.
I have no idea of my zone, but we most likely share yours, scrabby
Good morning.
Happy Bithday Crossy!
Birthday even.
Here it is the May 24 holiday that we plant.
Happy birthday
Happy Birthday, Crossy!
ty zooz
ty, scrabby:)
ty, sukee:)
You are all invited to the party tonight (bring booz)
booze
I don't drink but I will bring a delicious cake!
Indeed, sukee. There is just too much chance of a few more frosty mornings in early to mid-may
mmm.. bacon cake...
Are you doing anything special for today, Crossy?
The trees have all popped here in the past few days. I can see lots of green from my window.
Baking myself a cake and hanging with my loved ones:)
What is your favorite cake?
My beloved has her exam today first though
I love a good spice cake with white frosting
or carrot cake
Aha.
Hi all. Happy B'day crossy.
Are all the Z words 4 letters?
ty dianne:)
yup
Hi Dianne.
Ty, have 2 of them
Clues for the 9 letter words, please.

It is going to be 26 tomorrow, and 30 on Friday and Saturday
Ty, got it :)
Now a feel nauseous :)
It's only 6C right now and I'm wearing shorts.
Ha.
... probably why you're feeling nauseous
was minus 1C here an hour ago, but the sun is working hard to get rid of the frost
Well, have to go work out now :)
Take care all. And have a great rest of your birthday crossy.
ty, sukeee, and have a good day:)
Li 9/84 Dianne. Involving measurement in one dimension only; pertaining to length.
The No 9/54 is almost the same.
I must get ready for work. Enjoy the day kiddos!
Did my first hike last Sunday and my knees have been howling ever since. My exercise routine since then has been to stand erect and walk and have my knees function. Was diagnosed with bursitis last year and the doc said to "use them, or lose them" but it is a battle sometimes;/
ty for li9
Small steps at a time, Crossy. It will take time to get them working.
Indeed, zooz:)
Happy Birthday Crossy :)
I will head out again this Saturday or Sunday and give it another go:))
tyvm, Chessy:)
Everybody who wishes to give me a present, can, if they wish, donate whatever pleases them to their local cancer society:)

Hi crossy
It was just the first name
Hi Annie, et al

I actually met Jessica and Hume. Shook hands with them in a receiving line for an after party of one of their shows. They were just as charming and gracious as you would expect.

Aaaah, warm wether is almost here
weather* duh
salut, ruby!! enjoy your lovely lilacs -- am enjoying my beautiful fragrant peonies! :-)
my peonies have many buds, but no flowers yet. The "tuteurs" have to be raised
Spring is blooming here and it was 87 on Monday
wow, that's hot for so early.
Here, we've had a lot of rain but the temps are perfect
we lucked out with many unusually cool days . . . then BOOM we started getting 80s every day and the flowers went nuts LOL
hey bichon :-)
We haven't had rain for two weeks. Pretty dusty out there
hi Une
We had cold weather for so long, through April that I would hate to complain about the heat
same here -- April was endless rain and mud and now, like you, we're stuck in a run of dry days
Yay for flowers gone nuts : D
I just saw at least 100 large red fish yay
red fish ruby?
they're just {feeder" goldfish, grown up to be mostly red with some yellow and white ones. Who knew?
Better than pink elephants : D
later in the day, Molly
Do you have a goldfish pond ruby?
yes, a deep one with a fountain in the middle. It's where \max drowned
max?
The dogs have always drunk from it' they seem to like the murky, fishy water
Ugh!
My icon, he was autistic and drowned in the pond when he was 8, after years of drinking from it
Dog and love of the putrid
Relaze should be a word. I was in the chaise lounge, I got up to get another drink and now I will relaze. : D
Funny, I don't remember that
That's how we got Ruffino, 4 days after Max went missing. He was only found two weeks later when the pond guy was mucking out the water
Now I remember. I thought all your chows had "r" names
name that proper noun...name of plane that dropped the atom bomb ***** Gay

Une. I love the picture in your profile
I saw that plane at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum at Dulles. It's pretty amazing to see it in person.
can you see the dog with the puppy?
BOY with the puppy LOL
Yes, I saw it too, it was amazing
I remember see Spirit of St. Louis at Smithsonian at age 12 :-)
Une, It's a lovely picture, that dog is going to have a good home
*seeing (can't type today))
if you see just a dog, that's my sweet pup
if you see a boy with a dog, he's the son of the adopter of that cute pup :-)
It's astounding how many great exhibits they have in that museum. So much bigger than the one in DC.
yes, I can see that...sweet Chloe
frere
oops
thanks, grant
oh, cool! She was sooo adorable -- slept in my lap during transport -- just irresistible!
Une, I thought dogs were supposed to ride in the back seat. No?
yeah yeah yeah . . . but she was such a teeny little baby I couldn't stand it -- would have had to crate her
and I had seen the awful picture of the animal contral cage where her owner had dumped her
*control
but yes, most of my riders sit/lie tethered in the back seat on a double layer of quilts :-)
ok . . . back in a mo -- need more coffee :-)

Darn Enable should get "online" placed into its store of words:(
The Oxford Dictionary recognizes it:)
Enable just is stuck in the past. Imagine not haivng spam
mmm fried spam and eggs;))
biab
Oh, dumb old Enable should get biab, and HAGD and ty, and tc and so many others. Dumb old Enable.
Howdilly doo, y'all. Sigh. Spring has arrived. Another season to look in my closet and hate the clothes I have.
time for shopping trip perhaps?
Flowers!
An online shopping trip anyway.
I don't think Judi was talking about flowers.
Cute shoes, sundresses and pretty blouses.
No. I was talking about the crap (in my closet).
I don't do dresses or skirts. Capris, slacks, polos, blouses yes.
And sandals. Lots and lots of sandals. :-)
<---Has never understood the appeal of carpi pants
Well, I don't wear them to work, but they are comfy for weekend outings, when I"m not wearing shorts.
And, I'm not a size 2, so the cuteness margin decreases considerably.
My last word is the ai7, and my monkeys are really tired... clue please? and thanks :)
Haven't been able to find that one either, ch12.
Well, while I'm waiting for a clue, does anyone else need clues ... besides for that one, of course?
Part of a wing
I think I need a simpler clue, Fenderguy ... my brain has been acting weird lately...
oh -- got it!!! FW
Ah, just got that clue. Had to wrack my brain for pilot speak.
Thanks, FenderGuy!
Yvw
Yvw
could I have a clue for the bottom i?
Harry, use the large score tile.
Iz4. i = variant spelling of russian ruler.
ty :)
Size 2...sad that this society pays homage to the anorexic types
nbt! heh
Molly, you are right. When I was young, the smallest size in a regular store was junior petite size 5. Now they actually have size 0.
And Marilyn Monroe was a size 14 - 16.
Oh, they have double 0 too. Which technically makes you invisible (I think).
lol!
That's me. Marilyn size.
If men are interested in skeletal women, it's a sad world.
I aam now a petite. I've lost 1 and 1/2 inches since getting older
Apparently it's not the men, Molly. Repeated surveys continue to conclude that the majority of men are hard-wired to be attracted to a woman with wider hips, more junk in the trunk, etc.
bichon, you mean height? Or size wise?
Size two. The Walking Dead chic.
no, height. Never weight
Ah, welcome to the world of shorts! I was 5'2" in high school, but grew an inch as an adult.
After about 50 I started shrinking; as did my mother and grandmother
I think that's a bone density thing, bichon.
That would be The Cow's Tail Syndrome', Bich. Growing downwards. 😀
Boys are always taller than their grandmothers at age 11
Oh yes, look at shortie Soodle in her picture.
Either that or Earth's gravity is increasing.
which one is Soodle? The blonde or the brunette? (And Soodle, whichever you are, is WAY too young to have a daughter the other's age!)
Congrats Bichon and Soodle. You grew up to be gnomes.
Soodle is the midget
(Molly & I have already discussed my shortness of stature....)
Lol. She's the blonde!
Oh Judi, I wish there was a 'like' button for your comments! The brunette? Definitely looks too young! Whatever skin care regimine you use, please share, soodle!)
I can almost hear Soodle singing "We represent, The Lullaby League"
Shucks, thanks! 😀
Bwa-ha-ha-haaa!!!
(Laughing at the lullaby league comment)
Oh look Soodle. You have props from an invisible poster.
ðŸ˜
It
The buzzer buzzed on the dryer.... have a wonderful day, everyone. { poof }
It's more than obvious that the fake JC poster and company are back. Too bad.
Waves cheerfully at the fakes....
*Hopes they someday get a life*
Continuing on the Wizard Of Oz theme, singing 🎶Come out Come Out, Where ever you are🎶
Oh no, it's better that they go away.

Oh goodie, lets put all the words in the chat log.
tessa, wrong box.
tess. look at the add word box. You are not using it.
Hi TO. Beautiful day in the sunny Northwest. A little chilly but very seasonally appropriate.
I'm so sorry! I just noticed what I did!
threatened rain all day,but cooled off. attended work reunion luncheon today, so cooler weather is better.
tessa, it happens.
We do have a penalty box which is usually furnished with delicious virtual treats of all styles in copious quantitites. But, it is not often used as we are not a penalizing sort, by and large.
Reunions. I went to my high school one and did not enjoy it as I had thought I would. My fault but there you are.
i found this pleasant, though did not expect it to be,
more of the people who were there when i began, who mentored me.
Good for you TO! Much rather have a good time. I have some good friends through my hobbies which gives purpose to our get togethers.
The Penalty Box (PB) has always been kind of a joke, to remind people what is what, where is where and the clue stuff. Lots of funny stuff has been posted about the Penalty Box.
yes, it was always fun. are the only pictures in FMs profile?
I remember seeing pictures but don't remember who had collated the things found in the box.
it was FMitch. Links to pictures are in her profile.
ty TO. I may look up her profile. Going to wander off for awhile. NBT but 40 words not found. Rather a lot left.
hi, all. Just got a call from our vet. Our almost 13 year old cat, DFuchess had a biopsy last week. Results are in. It was malignant, but no indication of metastasis. We have chosen not to have her undergo a complete mastectomy, with the full and unqualified support of the vet.
I am so sorry Angelsong. It must have benn a very difficult decision for you
sorry to hear this, angel.
we are just going to keep caring for her and checking her periodically as we have beeb doing. It just breaks my hearrt, but I do not believe she should be put through major surgery at this point.
I would have made the same choice. It makes sense to keep her happy and comfortable for as long as possible.
{{Angelsong}}
the vet said she and her sisters are very lucky to live in our home, with people who take such good care of them.
