Hi and hugs, sprite. How are you today? And how's Caya?
I thought so, too, but no :(
hi Liz :) *hugs* for you and for your beloved. I am okayish. Caya is improving every day. Almost normal range of movement and hardly any pain left :)
even after all those years, enable can surprise me with what it does and does not accept, grin
Ish - not so good but happy about Caya
lolll {{hugs}} and good morning sprite. {{hugs}} and good eve lizgirl.
Hi and hugs Rose
good evening dear friend :) *hugs*
aw I will be alright, Liz. Just a bit of stress at home here, husband has his knickers in a bunch.
how are you doing tonight, rose?
okay, thanx sprite
am glad. It is hard to find any kind of balance without the meds you need.
BUNCH!!!! reads mega wedgie
Lol!
that is it exactly, lol.
Saw gorgeous, if sleepy whale today :) was very active for a while. Got some good breach shots.
oh wow! Must be so impressive.
Sure is
Ocean was so calm today
blast this hepatitis !!! i' am missing out on the whale watching... :-(
that should help with the photographing
It's only the beginning of the season rose, and as you know, the bed is here and waiting.
Helps with seasickness too
in time, rose, in time! Give your poor body some time to recover from the attack of the monster medicine!
what's it like next month?
Agree with sprite
oh of course, you don't do waves too well, I remember.
Good through til mid-ish September, sometimes longer.
oh, good, plenty of time then.
yeah and I have heard that the show is such a big success they will repeat it next year.
It's always down to luck what you see. Only saw one whale today and it was sleeping so we left it. Then it breached so we went back and stayed with it, breaching and sleeping. But there were no others around that we saw.
* giggles * silly sprite... xoxoxoxoxox
btw, I am in the grid today.
So it was just luck that we turned back to it.
*hugs rose*
I noticed, sprite.
*dances round in the grid, shaking up the other letters*
which word? sh5/20? * runs laughing into next room *
you are SO lucky I don't have that yet, rose!
* peeking round the door * is it safe??
Time for me to get ready. Going out for pizza with friends.
I've got that word :)
sounds good, Liz! Enjoy and a hug for the both of you
oohh!! enjoy your dinner lizgirl
is it rude, Liz?
49 I don't have though.
Hugs to you both.

decided to let them send my glasses to the manifacturer, in stead of letting them fix it in the shop. Sigh. Back to my old glasses for a bit.
but... every disadvantage has its advantage, as a famous dutch soccer player once said... it means I get to spend more time with you.
awww * blush * gee thanx
I got wounds where the legs of the glasses meet the skin... appears the coating has been eaten away by my skin and now the metal is against my skin... for which I am allergic. Pffff.
oh, terrific. just what you needed.
too true, lol. They asked the manufacturer for new legs, but of course the model is no longer in stock and they don't have the parts anymore... he was willing to find me other legs... but for that, he needed the actual glasses.
my glasses have a plastic sleeve thingy over the 'legs'
so I had to decide... send off my glasses for at least a week and hope for the best, but if it works out my glasses will be as new and they will last longer... or let them fix a coating in the shop.
yeah, that was the other option, indeed. The shop lady said to wash your glasses every day, with handsoap and lukewarm water. That way, the coating will stay on.
all minor things on the scale of life, lol... just so hard to make a choice. I am not a good chooser, so to say.
it is difficult trying to weigh up costs and inconvenience.
exactly. Even with the antidepressants, I am still low in serotonin... which translates in difficulty with choosing, among other things.
hence the killer brain fog, my dear
you got it, lol. Wanna drive me crazy? Ask me to choose between white or milk chocolate...
sprite, would you like a piece of white or milk chocolate?
whaaaaaaaa! *grabs both and makes off with them*
roflollll.... and thar she goes, folks!!
fueled by chocolate. Works every time.
i'm still here. have been trying to warm my hands. my left index finger has rheumatoid in the first joint which is stinging, and my right wrist is hurting.
aw darling :( *sending warming vibes to your hands*
anyone here have vertigo probs? hubby was diagnosed with slight vertigo a couple of months ago - but yesterday I apparently had a full blown attack....spent the day night spewing, spinning and sleeping. At the Hosp - all bllod test came back clear.
bllod = blood
how very unpleasant, dizgrannie :(
poor you diz. you may have a virus in your middle ear.
granny, they checked all that, but I did have a bit of ringing sounds in my left ear
sprite, is it gapeach who has the vertigo?
I thought so
so diz. perhaps quiz gapeach when/if you see her in babble.
how are you now, dizgrannie? Has it settled?
sprite, feeling heaps better, but very tired.
am glad at least the dizziness is over. Sounds like you should take it very easy for now.
take it easy and stress less.....lol
ah yes, that in the first place, lol. You don't want to be dizzygrannie ;)
LOL sprite, I was yesterday
definitely no picnic
awww terra is dreaming. Tiny little yips.
how cute.... are the feet twitching too?
yes :) I totally meld in a puddle when I see that. He is so cute.
fireflies.
am gonna answer some emails, I have a bit of a backlog. Dizgrannie, all the best, I hope they can figure it out for you. Rose, *hugs* and take care... I hope you can sleep tonight... cool breezes for your body, warm vibes for your hands and knee... :)
WTG S[RITE !!!!
{{hugs}} and kisses sweetie. i hope you can enjoy your day. xoxox

Good morning all.

How is your back feeling?
Coss
Cosset
A quick visit before work. Hello kids.
allo?
anybody home?
((ruby)) How are you?
hello Annie, I'm hanging on by the skin of my teeth, trying to get things organized.
Are you getting any treatments?
My son is arriving tomorrow to help with all that -- power of attorney, will, DNR, etc. He'll stay through the liver biopsy.
No treatments until after the next two scans and the biopsy.
Good son. When is the biopsy scheduled?
The biopsy is on 2 July. John is really stepping up!
Yes, he is. After the biopsy, you will know how to proceed. You are in my prayers every night,
He'll be able to help with logistics (complicated as scans, etc. are all in different places) and with Burt, who can't be left alone
John helping with Burt will ease your mind so you can concentrate on yourself.
Yes, and the neighbors are being wonderful, helping with transportation and shopping
Good neighbors are a blessing. Right now, Ruby takes care of Ruby.
We all have your back, Ruby. Try to remember all those prayers and good wishes headed your way.
Surprisingly, my local friends and neighbors are more forthcoming that Americans I've lived near, whether in small towns or cities
Molly, you cannot imagine how important your prayers and good wishes are to me.
Irish poet John O'Donohue tells a story about an old Irish woman who was praying for him. She said, "I have you every morning and every evening". He said it was so comforting to thing of someone holding a sanctuary around him twice a day.
*think
I think that the biopsy will tell the whole story, whether this can be treated or whether it's in the bones and I'm o my way out.
Treatable, Ruby, treatable. Remember, thoughts become things.
Fortunately, I a not afraid of chemo, having gotten through it fairly easily before. Im' terrified of the biopsy, though, have heard bad things about it. My doctor said I should load up on morphine before I leave the house
Treatable, dear Ruby.
I have to get ready for an early appointment. Remember, Ruby, we are all on your side so you can lean on us.
I'm leaning!!!! I love you guys!
bye for now -- nap time
ruby, I've had a biopsy and it was a piece of cake
where? They want to keep me overnight for the lover
liver (I wis lol)
sorry, thought it was breast.
Will they give you pre and post biopsy painkillers
No, the breast biopsy was easy because they had already removed the tuors. This is different as they have to make various big pnctures....eek
they give local anesthesia which never works for me, hence the large morphine does my doctor recommended
doses*
happily, my oncologist speaks English and wants me to be as pain-free as possible. She' a peach
That's a strong plus
It is good to be able to express things in English so that the nuances are not lost
I know a couple whos son had a rock climbing accident in northern Italy. He fell 100 feet and was in a coma. They rushed to the hospital in in Italy and the only English speaking person was the Neurosurgeon. how is that for luck
Ruby if they do give you pain killers make sure you tell them how much you have already taken yourself.
dear Ruby, am reading back through the chog . . . am so very sorry for what you're dealing with - so very glad your son has stepped up and that your local friends and neighbors are being so helpful . . . love and all good wishes to you -- I know you're aware of the massive amount of good will coming your way from all your Babble friends XXXXOOOO
{{Ruby}}
CAR.....on a quick note -- coming to work today was a TERRIBLE mistake...going to see how soon I can sneak out
and Ruby dear, you have so much love coming your way - please carry that with you in the next few days
I told you not to go....
I know, I know, you told me. you are very smart
I'm sorry you are still not up to par *golf joke for valentine....
I just found the ca 8 all by myself
oooh! HU 7/36!!!
Yeah!

How lovely to see the love and caring that is expressed to each other here,
Just reading back in chat. Sorry I missed Ruby. So many trials and tribulations. *tosses prayers onto the pile*

Babble is The Word Game Home Of Weird Words

Hello
Hi, again. Dang. This grid is annoying!
Somehow, I only have 36 left...not sure how I did it.
Same here, Car. We are equally annoyed!
LOL
Still missing four 4-letter words. Oh, the shame.
I'm missing 10 4 letter words...you're doing just fine!

not happy and Elephant Man's "I am a **man"
Hi, lynx and Hi.
Thanks. Apologies . I have been watching tennis for hours and my brain is addled
"Fred was so great at accessorizing." Well, that's what Velma said.
hello friends
hi Bugs!!
hi saanich. I hope you are well.
and you too. I will phone in a day ot two. Hello to Mr Bugs from me
Mr Bugs is here and says Hi back. I is having a rest and watching Islamic art with me
would love to hear from you
I am planning an early Fall trip ap Island and would love to stop and see you
you have a bed here for sure
many thanks. Talk soon. XO
I hope you are well to jaxx. I have not heard from you in quite a while. I want things to be settled down now
sh6.33 and hu7.36 - is Babble trying to tell us something?
Hi, Bugs. I have an appointment next Friday with a surgeon who lost my notes and then proceeded to tell me he thought he would like to'have 'a dig on the left hand side of my neck'. Great bedside manner eh?
ooo jaxx. I had a surgeon with that level of tact but he turned out to be the best one. He tied up my ugly scars and left me with the thinnest, least noticeable one. Perhaps yours is the same. He is a surgeon because he is very skilled at what he does but his patients are usually asleep so they don't get offended as often.
let's hope@
I can only hope so. He was a very handsome man with a tactless manner and careless attitude. He lost all my test results so I have had to go through it all again.
Other than getting a little tired of waiting, I am fine thanks. and you?
I bet he is on the autism spectrum. When it comes to surgery being the only think he really cares about, you might just have a winner
waiting is the hard part for sure
I am well. I am one week away from having the summer off.
You could be right. let's keep our fingers crossed.
Oh, lucky you. have you got anything special planned?
mine are. ... I plan to go see stidmama next month at her new house. I already had a wonderful visit with other Babblers, jillibus, rururocks, saanichcat and flosey. I have never met a Babbler I didn't like.
We are all lovely!
we are not big travellers because me husband loves his shop too much to leave home often
That's like my husband who loves his fishing so much so he won't go far either. I have got used over the years to peering into the local river when we go anywhere new.
my husband thinks he likes fishing but he seldom does it.
are there other fish-widows to chat with while you watch?
Nigel is passionate about it. I don't watch - not my scene - I stay home and nod wisely when he comes home full of fisherman's tales.
I eat the fish tho. lol
you are my kind of woman! I have no idea what he is describing when he tells me how he solved some mechanical problem.
no such benefit for me. just lots of greasy hand marks on cupboards and towels.... sigh
His brother has just retired so they trot off together and enjoy the male bonding.
Mind you, I am not sure that his brother is totally safe to be with. Last week he threw the anchor out without a rope attached. Silly man
I love watching that. My husband lost one brother a year ago and the younger one gave us all a scare this year. I am so glad he had those years to hang out with them again.
I love the anchor with no rope guy! Sounds like my boys when they get to be old.
Nigel had five brothers but only two remain alive. One lives locally and the other lives about 12 miles away.
Their poor mother. I only had 4 sons and when the last was born a friend who was one of 5 boys came to see us and said how sorry he was. I didn't understand until he said, You are going to have dead cars all over your yard for years!
He went one better the week before. My niece has a lovely dog called guzzle but has to work so she asks her dad to walk him for her. He rushed into her house, grabbed the lead and the poo bags and set off. he got 7 miles down the road and realised he had left the dog behind!
My mum-in-law did have a girl but she was stillborn. Mum put it down to getting in and out of air raid shelters.
OMG that is hilarious! I can't believe he got that far before wondering where he was going
evening.
hi TO
hello, TO
i am watching "the fly" whist finishing. probably have nightmares.
It must run in the family. Mum dressed Nigel in dresses in the Victorian fashion and I think she was still wanting a girl. Nigel took his little trike, he'd be about three, and went off to find his grandad who was a farrier in a town about 5 miles away. The police apprehended him and reported to mum have you lost a little girl. Mum said no but were they sure it was a girl. The cop went back and checked the undercarriage and came back to say it was indeed a boy.
Is that the one with Jeff Goldblum in it?
poor Nigel. I bet his brother still tease him about that to this day.
all his brothers, I mean
I do!
oh no, it is the original. 1958.
Much scarier then. Just don't eat cheese as well or you will have nightmares.
my boys teased the youngest one mercilessly telling him he was a girly man until he took up American style football on the offensive line. they knew he could win in a fight now
i am eating cookies. that is, i WAS eating cookies. no more, really. promise.
We won't tell, will we Bugs?
bananas give me nightmares.
bananas?
That's unusual
do you know why TO?
I have never considered that food could cause nightmares. Huh
oh no, it's the kitten scene!
Put your hands up in front of your face and peer through your fingers. that will help
thanks Bugs and jaxx for the great stories!I needed a laugh and just roared about the anchor
Cheese is well known for it but I have never heard of bananas before
i think it is the heaviness.
me too Saanich. That would be my ADHD guy
He's done it before so that was his last anchor so fishing has been replaced by cockle raking until he can get another.
too funny.
I also enjoyed " check the undercarriage" for the sex
I say again, Their poor mother
Well, ladies, it is 1.45 am here so i must away to my bed. Lovely cahatting to you. Look after yourselves.
hmmm as a westcoaster I think enable should have the word sh*tter
does anyone have re 6,18 and could offer up a clue, please
I thought so too saanich. I think it did have boozer one day but I cud be mistaken
I have to re 6 the temptation to stay
re -- to avoid arrest
thanks jaxx, sweet dreams tonight
and you and TO no bananas. I am really on my way now, good night
'night!
good night, jaxx
I have found 93 words, and I still have three blank tiles, the second column t, the second column d, and the u. Could someone please tell me that they're all utterly improbable words?
I have had all my basement doors open and there is a DEER in my basement! Back soon...
WHAT??? BE CAREFUL< THEY PANIC!
second column t has 4 letters but not a familiar word, Douglas
oh my! really, she could be injured. they go mad when confined.
she's gone now, they live up the hill
she will wander out saanich. be safe she doesn't panic and slash you with her hoofs
they went downstairs?
Sounds a lot like one of the Black Hawks
one crashed through a neighbor's picture window.
basement is half above ground so the doors are ground level
I don't watch hockey any more, sorry.
i see. there are so many here. there are roads i will not travel come dusk. they are everywhere. no predators.
but I did have one come on the deck, eat all my favourite flowers and then wander into the living room for more succulents…he had antlers so just let him know I was there and backed off
the u is a 4 letter babblet and without knowing which d word you need it is hard to help there. You might have to list
I don't have house plants any more either. The cats always leave the door open and I am sure the deer would come in here too
Thanks. I'm declaring moral victory. Happy Babbling, all!
my word! and i thought a bird in the house was bad.
good plan Bugs. Have you got g;orius rain? Smells amazing
we just had a light shower. it helped but very little
dinner calls, later Bugs
