Does gr8 the 3rd come from the grs above? Thanks
Sorry, does it come from the gr5 above?
Hi Peach - I have a gr 8 which is colour connected
2 of them, in fact
Thanks, Liz, I have that one....this is gr8 50 the 3rd.
Haven't listed yet, so I can't help :(
Liz, I should have asked for the 7-36 above the 8....it is the very last gr8
Oh, thanks anyway, Liz.
Hi everyone
Hi Flosey
Hey there, flosey.
I have gr7 and 8, apparently it is a hydrothermally altered rock of granitic texture composed chiefly of quartz and mica, common in the tin mines of Europe if that helps
It'll probably help if I google it ;)
I had to look it up
Thanks much, flosey.
yw Peach
Thanks Flosey
yw Liz
I can't google it because I will lose the ones I have in Lickety's list. I still don't have it fixed so that I can look elsewhere for words. Thanks for suggesting a way to get it.
Do you know any German, Peach
it sounds like someone's name but can't think of who it is

good morning all
good morning dear sprite. i am feeling pretty sad here
hello my dear friend. What happened?
don's sister has been put into palliative care. it looks like she may have about another week. we have been visiting as much as possible.
I noticed you weren't here yesterday. That is really sad news, darling. *hugs* for you both. Was it sudden?
not really. she has been treated for melanoma. but it metastisied to her spine, lungs, oesophagus.
oh dear. Such an aggressive cancer, melanoma. Can they keep her mostly painfree?
the staff are wonderful. still trying to keep her comfy. she has a syringe in a machine delivering morphine all the time but they are still having to top her up
*hugs*
thanx sweetie. i am pretty spaced out by this. so is don.
no wonder. It is so sad to lose a dear one like this, and to see her in pain.
Just back from a new and more complete scan and I think the news is good. The thingie in my liver appears to be benign but I need to speak with the oncologist. The report is full of complex French medical terminology so I will need help with understanding it. And my left lung has ""voluminous' liquid in it.
benign would be good, ruby. I will pray that will be the outcome. *hugs*
{{hugs}} dear ruby. yes benign is good. a bit of fluid in the lung is easily treated.
they just put in a straw and suck it out, right? lol
pretty close dear
fireflies.
my dear friends, a big *hug* for both of you, and one for Don too. I am holding you in my thoughts and prayers.

Lol Zooz. I haven't 'seen' you for a while. How's life treating you?
It is going okay at the moment thanks, Soodle. How about your good self?
Still this side of the ground, Zooz! Better than the alternative! I frequently think of you & wonder how you are coping after your recent bereavement. ((((Hug))))
Thanks, Soodle. Can not believe that is over a year ago now. My mother has coped with it very well bless her.
Going anywhere nice for holidays this year, Soodle?
Back again
(((Zooz) time can be irrelevant - a day, a week, a year. It's still terribly difficult. And - my darling daughter & I spent a glorious week in Gran Canaria in April. Unless 6 numbers hop up in the lottery - that's my lot for this year!

Soodle, I thought you were going to see Ruby
Hey get in the queue lady!...we aare having the jackpot first..You can have the next one :-)

Form an orderly queue, Babblers......
Annie, you have to stand in line with me. Unless you play the European lottery. There is 80 million in Powerball tonight. I'll split it with you.
How is Bobby, Annie?
Bobby is complaining of a backache (he never complains)--to the doctor on Wednesday
I will be happy to stand in line with you.
Oh dear. I complain constantly. Nobody takes a whit of notice, because I'm a whinger. It's a different story when a non- complainer complains. I hope he is ok Annie.
Me too. I hope its a strain but I must check it out. Thanks for youir good thought.
((((Annie & Bobby))))
Thanks for the hugs. We felt it all the way over here.
:-)
Annie, my son is like yours. He never complains and is very rarely sick. So when he does complain, or is sick, it freaks me out.
I am trying not to freak out. He is very rarely sick also.
Freaking out never helped anybody (said the biggest freaker-outer of all time). Annie - I'll be thinking of you both next week.
As opposed to my son, who at 42, never goes to the dentist or doctor until it is critical
thanks, Soodle
Bich - I'm with him on the dentist thing....
Okay, how much money did we put into his mouth, especially with braces
I was being treated by a dentist once. I bit him, drawing blood. He refused to treat me afterwards, unless I was sedated. So next time, he gave me IV Valium. Whee!!!! I loved every whir of the drill!!
I can see how people can get addicted to valium.
My dentist, who is a God, recently had to retire early due to illness. His replacement is just not as good. I am lost. I have gone to the same "dental family" (my dentist and his dad) my whole life.
I love my dentist and my hygenist
I am up to the dreaded "re"s
I have a pathological fear of snakes, dentists & hairdressers.
I can understand all 3, Soodle. I think hairdressers comes in second.
hi all, back to hopefully finish up!! I'm right with you on the snakes, Soodle - have never been able to shake that silly fear
HI flosey
Hi Annie, I so seldom see you
I am usually here in the morning when you are probably asleep.
Well I should say, I hope you are asleep
Lol! St Patrick should have banished Dentists & hairdressers when he was dealing with the snakes. Lol. Bedtime for me! G'Night all.
yes, likely, Annie
sweet sleep, Soodle
Sweet dreams. Soodle
Sweet sweet Soodle
Molly, Beautful tribute in your profile
what is the meaning of your list of names, Molly?
They are the 9 people who were killed during a Bible Study meeting in Charleston, SC
They are the names of the victims in the recent Charleston shooting. I got the idea from Soodle's profile. The names in hers are the names of six Irish students at Berkely who were killed when the balcony they were on collapsed.
wow, I hadn't heard of that shooting, was it directed at a particular religious group?
Black people.
oh dear, when, oh when will we ever learn to live together in peace
They were massacred by a 21 year old racist.
how dreadful
I got an email from a friend trying to come to terms with the Charleston tragedy. She quoted Dr. King... “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."
what has a 21 year old really understand about the old racist attitudes
what DOES
Another young man named Dylan (the other was Columbine) goes down in history as a gunman. That name is going to get a bad rap.
It is my grandson's name.
He is a kind, loving 14 year old. There is Dylan Thomas.
and it's a lovely name Annie - make no connection
I dont think I will. Dylan Edward, that's his name. Nice kid.
Sorry, Annie. Just something I heard about the names Dylan and Caitlyn
Molly, please say what you heard about the name. I am curious. I know you meant no harm,
Caitlyn also a lovely name
I just heard that the name is going to get a bad reputation since it has been the name of two young shooters. Some people make those associations. Others don't. No matter, one can't help what their name is, unless they chose it personally (Jenner)
I have a nephew Dylan and a son Thomas. We holidayed together when they were babies learning to feed themselves. We put their high chairs together and called in Poet's Corner.
I love it. Poet's Corner.
Thanks for the explanation but I wont fret about it.
Our Dylan is a lovely young man who is working to make the world a better place.
Our Dylan is in High School and works with special needs children.
I can see Molly's point that some people associate names with people they have known and not cared for and like names of people who are special to them. I just don't think that this is enough. There aren't very many Elvises in the world and people thought pretty highly of the original.
sade
oops
in6/18/7-28 pls?
There are a lot of Kylies. All those young women who won't be able to lie about their age
Owl, mentally ill and more so

duck for sure
My once a year beef treat is beef tenderloin on Christmas. And yes, you are correct, beef burgundy. Dran tyops.

ty grannyrose!
we have been visiting her everyday that we can. 3 hour round trip and we are only allowed 15 minutes with her. i am very tired from all the travel.
frack, gr. I am so sorry
I am so sorry granny. Even if she is not awake when you are there, talk to her in case she is able to hear. Most can even when they can't show you they are awake. It is comforting to them.
bugs, stiddy. it is so hard because she doesn't want us to leave. but she starts to doze off when the morphine kicks in. and we want her to rest as much as possible.
(((gr)))
many hugs to you both granny
thanx for your support too. i am not sure how don is going to handle it. she will be the first of his siblings to go.
(((((don))))) let him know we are thinking of him, and holding him in the light. This sucks.

it will be shocking for Don but we never really never know how we will feel until it happens.
