the power company repaired the line in the street but said the reconnection to the house was a private matter. fortunately my insurance company is stepping up to the mark.
well, he will have to put on his big boy's pants and have the power fixed. And move the tree. Calling his mummy isn't gonna cut it.
they are sending out an electrician qualified to repair the junction box and reconnect to the pole.
well mummy is the one with the insurance on the house.
and yes, i slept like a log. i think i only woke the once to roll over.
just asking, my dear friend... what on earth is he calling his mummy for? HE should be the one to call the insurance and arrange for it all to be fixed. He should leave his mother in peace... who was having another infusion and last but not least has to deal with another death in the family.

same here, though i would bring in my lawn furniture and my one hanging plant if there was a tornado watch here....the worst thing we usually get here is an occasional big thunderstorm...
I only bring things in when there is a hurricane warning. We are flooding here, big rains. Time for Stevie Ray Vaughn's Texas Flood.
i only do if 50 + mph winds are predicted...not very often, to be sure....
Tornados are rare here but we had one touch down in Goderich, a small town 175k west of my location.
