Hi Peach - sorry don't have it yet.
Hey there, Liz. Not to worry. Thanks anyway.
de6. and 7 is pt and second 7 is pl
Is that the 1st de7-36, flosey?
de7/36, the first . de + stop
de6/24
cooee and g'day from me
a legal term
Hi Rose and hugs - I've missed you all week. Happy to have caught you now. How has this (difficult?) week been.
glad to be at the end of it liz. {{hugs}} and hi. xoxox
I've been thinking of you - lots
Thanks much, Rose. I think my brain
thanx sweetie.
is resting.
How's Don coped?
Thanks Flosey - your legal clue helped
in his usual relaxed way except for when the gps wouldn't turn off and he punched it. lolll
Yikes!
did you have your infusion and if so, how are you feeling?
yes, had it on monday. magnesium has kicked in, and i am pretty much pain free. actually feeling cold.
Rose, is the "stop" cr5-14? Thanks
Happy about the pain free and as for cold - well, I'm not surprised!!!!
ce 5/12 peach
It is cold!
Thanks, Liz. I will look for that now.
* giggle * stop as in ***** and desist. come to a halt. finish
I like the idea of cr 5/14 as stop!
Have it now. Thanks y'all.
WTG Peach

Blessings, flosey.
good morning all
[[hugs}} and good morning my dear sprite. i'm still very tired. i DID NOT do the washing, haven't even changed the bed linen. just too tired.
well done my dear friend. Rest up first. That day was an ordeal, wayyyy too much for your poor body. *hugs*
how's my dear friend today?
I am good :) Sore body, don't know why, has been bugging me for a couple of days now. But it is weekend, only need to get some groceries, Rob is at canoeclub with dog, so not many chores to do.
nice, sprite. a quietish day before you then. so sorry that the ol' bod' is giving you gyp.
how is Don holding up?
quite well, thanx. he seems to be relaxed now that yesterday is done.
ah that is good. Give him my best, if you don't mind. Have been holding the both of you in my thoughts and prayers.
np's honey.
did you get any sleep last night?
yes i did. although i was wakeful from 2am to about 5am. then dozed off again. nerve was being particularly nasty.
I was afraid of that. Not a really restful night that way, but I am glad you managed to doze off again for a few hours.
of course the fairy elephant was up at 7:30am getting ready to go help with the church stall..... lolll
ughhhh men! Always reminds me of that cartoon strip of asterix and obelix... not sure if you know them overthere?
yes we do. in fact don has the full collection of the books.
ah great :D There is this scene where they go and spy and try to find a roman camp. Asterix says they must walk very silently, so they go tiptoeing through the wood. And then obelix calls out "Yoohooooo Romans, where ARE you???" And Asterix gets mad, and then obelix says indignantly "But I WAS walking silently!"
roflolllll
asterisk and obelisk? Will look it up but at first glance those two words conjure up images that could be construed as sexual.
woah asterix and obelisk movies too?
lol tuco! They are made-up names to sound like the old names in the roman times, when the original people were resisting the roman invasion. It is not a sexual thing.
yes, they have been made into movies as well. Both cartoon and with real people.
I am not so sure. An asterisk according to Kurt Vonnegut looks like an a** hole. And we all know what an obelisk looks like.
a dirty mind is a joy forever
there are always double entendre
Are you familiar with the Beverly Hillbillies?
no, sorry
U.S. TV show from the 60s-70s. Apalachin dirt poor family strikes oil and moves to Beverly Hills. Hijinks ensue. Young beautiful niece named Elly May is always being introduced to young men.
sounds like it is good for a lot of laughs
Elly May loves taking care of wild animals. When she meets the young men who are drooling over her she says. Hi, I'm Elly May I have critters! The young men turn tail and run.
lollll I thought that name would come in handy
OMG Gerard Depardieu is in the Asterix and Obelisk movies? I hope they are on netflix
the movies aren't half bad. Much better than I expected them to be.
Just a note, as I'm too sick to play.
Just a note, as I'm too sick to play.
Oh man! Monica Bellucci is Cleopatra. Meow!!!!
hi sweetie, how awful. Any more news?
I won't know any prognosis until Tuesday
I'll be calling Soodle after the doctor visit and she'll let you all know
ok, we will keep you company while you wait. Such a rotten thing, that waiting stuff.
I couoldn't breathe this Am and my son is driving me insane
what's he doing?
he's making me throw away and go thrpugh papers, stuff I've saved for years. I feel like I'm throwing my life away, very depressing
yeah that is a tough job. But sometimes inevitable.
bye for now
bye ruby, all the best. Will be thinking of you.
fireflies. *hugs* for rose, I hope you will sleep well tonight, darling. Keep up the good work (= resting) :D Bye Tuco, nice talking to you. Have a lovely day.
WTG SPRITE!!!! hope your day is great. xoxox

Crossy - if you are still here - Massive congratulations on your graduation. That pic of yourself and 'herself' is beautiful! :-)
tyvm, Soodles:)
I am glad I was able to post them on my blog for all to see. My iphone was fighting with my pc for a bit:)
:-)
Congrats Crossy, what an honor. Wish I could see the pics but I tried and cannot get to the website.
tyvm, Nancy:)
http://www.crosshiarmusings.webs.com/

oops
http://crosshairmusings.webs.com/
that is better
had two letters transposed
Hi Crossy, checked out your blog and pictures, loved it, congrats on a huge second act!
tyvm, Mubner;)
and now it is time for crossy's quote of the day!!
Hooray, I got it and now have you in my favorites. Great pics of you and your beloved Victoria.
"When trouble strikes, head to the library. You will either be able to solve the problem, or simply have something to read as the world crashes down around you."--Lemony Snicket
Yup, she is the best. stood by me through it all. next year will be her turn to stand on stage:)
Love your tidbit since I volunteer at my local library every week in the reference section placing holds on all the wonderful books in the world.
Good one, I'm headed to the library today with the hope that the A/C is on - we're cooking here in Longview, WA -
I try to add to my blog weekly, Nancy, so you never know what you may find in there. make sure you leave a comment in the guest book;)
good morning everyone :-)
only 15c here, no need for the a/c :)
howdy, cybernan
Hey Nan & everybody else :-)
we're having a heat wave -- supposed to get to 37 today --- 36 yesterday
Nice picture of you soodle
Thanks Ru. It is a very rare picture of me. Normally I look like Princess Fiona from Shrek.
i agree, soodle -- lovely pic! :-)
Well i look like shrek
Une that dog is too damn cute
I hate photos of myself...i am not photogenic
The dog has a very enigmatic expression - almost smiling.
That Soodle picture looks like the one of you and your daughter on vacation. Did you crop yourself out of that one?
If you're still around - Congrats, crossy - lovely pictures.
lol, soodles. I did not connect the babble name with the real name fb is confusing sometimes:)
Crikey, Nan - that is very hot! Do you have A/C?
tyvm helen
yes, soodle - hard to do without in our summers
Ha ha Molls! Funny.
Hm. No animals so far today?
There's a consolation prize of 'Ass', Harp....
Signs up for consolation prize...
Oops - nope. Ha 4/5 is a deer-like critter
After your kind words about my pic, Ru, I declare you more deer-like than donkey-like! :-P
Flattery will get you everywhere, sir
Got it!
de7-8 combo, please?
sounds like a Buck-et list to me
cannot confirm this 100% but I think Willie Nelson has passed. R.I.P
Lost a lot of good artists this year:(
Its not a combo, Nan. De 7/36 is to expire . People talk about the dead as the de 7/36d . The de8/50 is to reduce, or take wrinkles out of something.
not finding the dead one
Take the R out of the 8
have de 6 although it doesn
doesn't make much sense
oh duh - ty soodle and molly
report might be internet bullcrap..
snopes says willie is not dead
thought so.
place is turning into Fox news:)
MS "M"BC often reports fake deaths
Congrats Crossy - just saw the pictures. I agree with your post about returning to school too.
are the sa's fishy?
tyvm, reader:)
I am glad i was finally able to get the pictures up in my blog.
off to the big hookah in the sky?

hagd everyone
bye nan
Hi Soods
it is my great nephew'sbirthday today. he is 6!! party is to start soon. way too early but no one asked me.
hi all
No one asked you to the party?
I think she meant no one asked her if it was too early for a party this time of day
Oh! OK then
her pedicure is barely done by this time
how rude of them to start the party this early
It is kind of early for a kids birthday party
Get it over with...he will be tired and want to nap by noon.
Kids are always ready to party. Just like there is no water too cold
A six year old? Nap?
Some of them, yes
My grands stopped napping when they were three
(car.ee spikes the Kool-Aid molly)
I don't think I've ever stopped napping 💤
We had 10 pre-teen boys here last night for an end of the year party...I'm exhausted.
That will do you in car
And they did all the running around...not me.
Very brave of you car
I dread going to my grand's birthday parties. There's always such drama
At least for the girls. The boys are like car's
drama?
Do tell!
At one which was at Build a Bear, one drama queen refused to participate and rolled up into a ball because sh wasn't next to the birthday girl
Then they discuss who spent more on the presents
LMAO! I'm so glad I had boys
Yes, if you can keep the energy level up
true
My grandson wants his to be at Chuck E Cheese. Good god
And they have their own kind of "drama".
Yes who can clobber whom
Who gets which light saber...that kind of stuff
If I made it to great grandma, I will not go to birthday parties
Going to Chuck E. Cheese is like paying to have a nervous breakdown
The first circle of hell
There isn't enough beer in the world for all those screaming, running, animal like children.
Trif feels that way about Dave & Busters, but I love Dave and Busters.
I have never step foot in a Chuck E. Cheese
And the prices they charge. I remember by grandson won all these tickets and all he got for them was a baloon
Just googled Chuck E Cheese and looked at the images. Scary!!!!!
Dave & Busters is worse. There, you have adults acting like children. And intoxicated too boot.
*to boot (I've gotten scared just thinking about it)
the French ones are worse molly
Charles et Frommage
At one here in CT one mother brought a gun with her and threatened another mother over who's turn it was on a ride. Too boot she was a state corrections worker
:)
That's just crazy
These are only the crazy stories I know of
where were the two women in a wallmart that beat the crap out of each other.. what's with all the violence out there?
Going to sit outside for a bit before it rains. HAGD all
It's an all day rain event here. I'm glad my patio is covered.
We'll get ours tomorrow am
Can anyone give me stats for the 8s? And tell me if I'm likely to be able to find them without clues?
Hi guys. I could have sworn I posted something in here, but it's gone :( May I have stats for the 8s, and could you also tell me if they are words that I could find myself without clues, or are they weird?
I see both of your posts
Odd, I see only one...
Refreshed, now see both.
Anyway....
...about those 8s....
i don't have them yet matty, sorry
de8 to reduce the amount of
cr8 sounds like the plural of where the baby Jesus lay
Past tense, not plural
Thanks Molly - found the CR - now looking for the DE (give me a minute) :)
DE - so obvious when you know where to look. Thanks
Howdy, y'all!
Heya, Judi!
Well, if we all knew where to look, we would all finish in 15 minutes like those Flip People
Yes, Molly - so yes!
I am now struggling with the DE7/36 before the de8.
Singular of a death word
Or take the R out of the 8
I see our buddy Darth is in the grid.
how many words today pls?
180
180 today, Betsy.
TY
st7/36 ....clue,please
.. past tense of 5/12 ... to hide something hurriedly
but of course...ty dose!
... and done ... may I offer a clue for anyone
... ah well ... good luck to all ... and ... GO JAYS
A Question for anyone who knows the answer...... If one has been away from playing Babble for a month or two, can one go back to the archives and make up the games?
Nope ..
tyvm torgone
carpe Babble ..
hello all....

i have re + to court someone, go on a ****.....don't know if that is the one you need...

yw....i have 21 left....taking a "looking" break....
A looking break? Didn't know we had a Peeping Pen. : O
8o|
It is not overselling it to say we are having deluge style rain here. I haven't seen it rain this hard, all day, in a long time. If this is headed your way, outside plans and driving are not advised.
we are expecting heavy rains and wind tomorrow.....perhaps starting tonight...
please Molly send your rain this way thanks
I would love to send all of this out west. We don't need it and you folks most certainly do.
I forgot how to spell curds and w*** so I don't know if is in the grin
Hi, again! Well, we pulled the fridge out and cleaned underneath. What a horror show that was.
I can imagin
The dust was unbelievable.
We probably have dead bugs and more under outs.
ours.
No bugs (amazingly). A few stray vitamin pills, some cat toys, pens.
Cat toys definitely.
I was a bit nervous about doing it, as our fridge is about 20 years old. Still works like a champ tho.
antique carrots
unidentified frying objects
Ha ha! There were some egg shells. I guess my aim when tossing to the composte bucket is not the greatest.
Pacifiers that went missing 25 years ago?
I knew I'd find my keys someday!
No kids, so no pacifiers.
(I'm just imagining what it would be like)
Good lord above. I think I will leave the joys of cleaning out under my fridge to those who come after me. Uggh
That neighbor's kid who was on the milk box...
Credit cards?
If you leave it for them, they will hate you.
But it's such an adventure, Soodle! Once every 15 years, whether it needs it or not is my motto.
This is why I am frantic for dealing with the clutter so my kids won't have the job.
Matzah crumbs.
I can only imagine the horror.
We were really just trying to figure out where the teeny weeny ants are coming in. So secrets revealed there.
No secrets, rather.
SPOILER ALERT GROSS STORY FOLLOWS:- My next door neighbour had a rat run in her back door and get trapped in the contraptions behind the fridge freezer. Understandably, she wouldn't go near it, and had to listen to the creature screeching as it died.
Uhg! Well, at least it died quickly.
A bat once disappeared from under a box where I thought I'd trapped it. Never seen or heard or smelled again.
Ahem, I don't think it was all that quick, Judi....
Oh. Yeech.
Gee, thanks for sharing that Soodle
Oh, I know.
And that is why I keep a domestic cat, and I feed several feral cats who appear from time to time.
Any Orange is The New Black devotees out there? No spoilers, but I think Season 3 was profound in a lighter way
I have two cats who look like innocent babies until they catch something. Then they look like killer beasts.
Me Me Me, Kap. I am absolutely LOVING it. Far more so than season 2.
I don't have a problem with cats killing mice or rats. I do have a problem with them killing birds though.
Fortunately they have taken out most of their instincts on a Beanie Baby squirrel.
My boy cat did kill a rat once. Left if laying in the front yard (thankfully). Thing was freakin huge.
In a different way. Season 2 finale was different and great- this time is transcendant.
Gotta jet. See y'all tomorrow!
Mine killed a baby squirrel (halfway) on the doorstep of my therapy office last year. Wasn't good.
I don't like them killing birds either, but they have trouble understanding the mixed messages they get from me.
Mouse----gooood kitty.
Bird-baaaaaad kitty.
Oh dear. Until I google what transecendant means, all I can say is that I am really enjoying Season 3.
what episode are you on.
The one with the Amish theme....
You're getting there.
i AM
Sorry.... I am developing a fondness for characters in this series who I never even noticed before.
nice pic, Soodle... :)
I know. Did you see the Chinese woman's backstory?
Thanks Bo!! I feel obliged to tell all and sundry that that pic is an exceptionally nice picture of me. Very unusual!
I did see her story, Kap. Very bittersweet. I am very fond of her as a character....
If I was coming to Ireland I would want to meet you ... maybe a pint at a local pub?
I knew she was trying to score with that picture
Bojazz.... The first thing you have to learn before you come to Ireland is that a bird never flew on one wing. Therefore the notion of A pint is nonsense. It is pints. Plural. And yes. Pints in my local would be great!!!!
And fortunately, I have several locals!!!
Lesson learned. Pints! I shall start saving my coins...
Cha-ching!! I hear the pennies dropping into Bojazz'es piggy bank! LOL
pennies would be the correct denomination...
Not exactly - It's cents now, but that's academic.....
judging by your comments over time and some notes in your profile, you sound like a very interesting person - with a great sense of humor...
OMG!!!!! Have I clicked????
sure, why not?
LOL...my last comment was in 'sarcastic' font!
ooops - no sarcastic font here
Bojazz, I would welcome every Babbler to Ireland. I have met only one - Riverdance - when she was on a tour of the country. We met for dinner and had an absolute blast. I look forward to meeting any other Babblers
coming to Ireland is a fantasy of mine - England and Scotland, too - but a winning lottery number is required... :(
So, if you are planning a trip here... I promise you I will meet up with you and we will have a great night.
I will not forget the offer!! :)
Oh, Bojazz.... we are all waiting for that winning lottery ticket......
yes, for many years now
Good night all.
Good night Beautiful
se
I've two left - can anyone help so that I may go to sleep?
sa6/21 and re6/24
re 6....to ebb, fall back....like a hairline...
don't have the sa 6 yet...will look....
Thank you, Pen....just one left now
Got it thanks to monkey fingers. FW - and...good night!
I bet you got it because you are clever. I doubt you have monkey fingers.
congrats!
hello, babblers.
hi...
hi pen.
hello dear friends
hi...
Oh hello dearest dearie of all the dear ones
hi! Im sitting here with my dearest of dear ones, Primo!!!
He plays Babble with you?
hes helping
hello, trif.
hi!
Wow, that is a big mother/son love jones
he is endlessly amused with enable, especially the part where it takes "shat" but not "shart"
I'll bite - what is shart?
it's absolutely NOT something you want in the same sentence as "bite"
Urban dictionary words...aka made up words...would never be in the ancient Enable word list...Shart...combination of shit and fart
Shart is also known as "gambled and lost"
Perfect definition Tor
hahaha torgone. good one!

yw
*am I interrupting something? *
Nope, just a lurker being dumb.
Absolutely not ruru. Nice to see you here. Just left for some food
I saw the dearest and didn't know if I was interrupting :D
The dinner was a great success and my brother had heard of Burrowing Owl. He knew he liked it.
I just assumed it was for me!
ah...!! how was it
did you like it?
that's what matters most
We all enjoyed it. It was the best of the choices open that night. We told lots of stories and laughed which is always good when you get family together
ah.. great.. I'm sorry it was so pricey.. I thought it would be about $30 - $35
No worries. I got 2 bottles so I can save one for another time. Knowing it was hard to find made the decision.
well.. you enjoyed it and your family had a good time.. so it was money well-spent
I used to be stoney broke and had to count every penny. Since my parents left me extra, I am now much more willing to indulge myself. I wanted to use it to renovate the house but I am having fun spending it.
I'm in the middle of writing a thank you note to jilli
You hit the nail on the head there
did you get my email story I sent you?
She will appreciate that. She is stilll impressed by good breeding.
she was so generous with her home.. and allowing me to destroy her kitchen :D
I did and I laughed my head off. You very nearly got the same response from me when I looked up the one I liked the most. Sure enough, it was the most expensive of the 2 I could price on line. I decided to accept it with grace and a lot of gratitude that I was included in the gathering.
that bottle couldn't have gone to better use than that dinner :D
It is rude to check out the price of a gift but I was looking online for the ones you recommended and while I was on the site, I snooped.
I will remain forever honoured.
ah.. I think it's worth about 900 American right now..it's a little hard to find now
we'll do it again. I love your part of the world.. i'm going to have even more freedom soon than I've had for a long time
RIght. I had no idea that bottles of wine could fetch such tremendous prices except through watching mystery movies.
yes.. they sure can.. I sell a lot of expensive wines.. some that are many thousands per bottle
Well do come back and I will find the best place to go for an excellent meal. There is one chef in town who is absolutely wonderful but he sometimes moves from place to place. When you are here we will go to him.
you have a deal
Good
I even half considered buying a place in Ganges..the prices are very reasonable
Wouldn't that be fun if you became a part-time resident up here. We consider prices on Saltspring outrageous but not compared to California.
I am done and will poof now.
Waves to the lurkers!
bye bugs.. we'll talk again
is anyone here?
drat. missed all the fun, it looks like. LOL Too hot here. cannot seem to find new words. Down to 64 and reluctant to list today.
ruru, if you are in lurker mode, I know the chef bugs is referring to, I think -- you would LOVE his work!
Well, down to 54 and not fully engaged. back tomorrow. *poof*
