was really glad to see the rain here yesterday and last night --today was the first day in a long time that we saw sunshine instead of smoke
we didn't get much, it was just so good to see it
well I'm tired and must quit, even though there are no animals on my list yet.
Should still have watered today, but it was overcast until late so tomorrow will be good enough. Will you make preserves this year? I didn't get any strawberries, the season started while I was in school and finished before I had enough energy back to make strawberry jam. I think I can still get raspberries, and the blueberries are early, so I know I can get those.

Just one more thought on the chog/chat environment - I've often thought of it as my club/coffee shop/quilting bee/sewing circle/ holiday picnic (with fireworks, of course!) and retreat with like-minded friends. Disruptions happen, as they always do, but as we deal with them as adults, and refuse to give them the spotlight, we will keep the animosities at bay and enjoy each other's company again. i use such a shorthand when i chat in the chog. im sure folks think i barely speak the language; the truth is that when necessary, i write quite formally.
That's an internet comments thing anymore, crossy, people are so quick to nitpick. I really like how rururocks is so quick to pun on typos, though, I almost snorted my tea the other day at one of his!

the picture i have for my icon is just a silly kitten being held at gunpoint, but the cat described in my profile, watson, yes, he's doing better now, we think he will be ok. just the humans could use a bit more help paying the vet bills from getting him better. they have raised about half of their $1200 goal.

i remember stick 'em up kitty.
well first they rescued him from having been THROWN from a moving car. so he had a lot of treatment from his injuries. he was pretty much recovered from that and then the pancreatitis happened.
it would not be safe to leave me alone in a room with a gun and a person who would throw a cat out a car window.

ok but then you don't like, have a kitten in your car in the FIRST place to throw out the window.
it's the people who get cats, don't get them fixed, let them go out and get pregnant, then ditch either mom or babies or both, sometimes in really awful ways, that i have a problem with.

yes. We are on the Juan de Fuca fault plate but so far the worst one was in Campbell RIver years ago. Mostly we just get shakers

Yes, I thought I had an enhanced passport but it was only enhanced with medical stuff, not for going over the border. They were nice and let me in on an outdated passport and the wrong license.
Apparently there is a code on the passport that can be embedded into the license so they can access all the info from the card without having the booklet on hand. I am not sure how to get it done though.
I was just lucky that I hardly ever travel or get arrestted

Hi Sally, it will be a .zip file so you will have to unzip it - Windows should do this if you click on the file and tell it to do that. Then you run the Babble Expert file you find in the unzipped folder.
