My sister was admitted to hospital yesterday.She is very dehydrated and has too many key-tones (sp) in the blood? She is pregnant and always gets ill.

Yes we are worried.We did warn her that she always gets very ill when pregnant.But she would not listen bless her.She is feeling a lot better today And after the isolation she should be allowed home soon (she has a stomach bug thing that is doing the rounds on the island)
am glad she is feeling better. Pregnancy can be hell on a woman's body (and spirit). So many changes, hormones raging... not easy at all.
but she has a loving family, that is a blessing

the weird thing is, it just happens to you. All of a sudden you are just insanely weepy, or ravenous, or dead tired. All of a sudden you have those weird pains and unpleasant sensations everywhere. All of a sudden you cannot stand on one leg without pain, or lie on your back without choking. And so on and so forth.

the kicking can be unpleasant. But mostly it is miraculous and special. My son was able to kick a cup and saucer from my belly when I let it rest on it.
I do that, Rose, I will not turn the heating on untill i really have to.As I know once I have the heating on it will not go off untill summer has arrived again.
Probably saying ouch (kick) get that hot thing off of me that is wayyy to hot..lol
I postpone turning the heating on too. We are having a sudden drop in temps here, from 25 to 12 Celcius. But with socks and sweaters it is still doable.

yes, i am lucky....i used a small desk fan a few days this summer while on the computer....never needed a fan to sleep this summer...
Unless it's freezing cold out, I always sleep with a fan running. I can't stand stagnant air.
I grew up at the beach and we certainly didn't own an air conditioner

well it does get hot sometimes.....had a few days in the 80s this last week.....some humidity...but i did not use the big fan at all....just didn't want to heat up the house with cooking....i tend to close all windows and doors in the morning and don't open them until late afternoon when the outside temp is lower than the inside temp....
we have them in two rooms and use window fans
I have little table fans in most rooms. I can exist with them running until the humidity kicks in.

not really wanting to get into the fray, but in my experience, wanting to "pray it away" is a fairly normal reaction to family abuse problems. It's all too common and often professionals don't recognize it as being as serious as it is.
Harp, I am a big believer in the power of prayer. HOWEVER, you cannot "pray it away" when there is a serious problem in your family and you are doing nothing to alleviate it.
Gotta agree with Molly. It is imperitive to get help for the victim(s) and the offender right away.

I don't know. To me, the whole Duggar situation is about consequences for your actions. If you choose to have a boatload of kids, and then raise them in a cloistered environment, there are going to be consequences. The Duggar parents did not respond well to the consequences of the abuse in their family. And no amount of "praying it away" is going to help that.
