phantom: un + re6/21
good thanks Sprite, and you? had a busy day but friends in for dinner which was relaxing
glad you had a good time with your friends. I am fine, thanks! Finished training for volunteerwork, will start working alone on Jan 1. Really looking forward to it.
sounds good Sprite
it will be lovely to do. And early January a friend will come and stay for a couple of days, also lovely to look forward to.
lovely indeed
nature calls, will bb soon
back
{{hugs}} and good day my dearest friend. how was your night? how did you final training session go?
hi sweetie, a good evening to you and *hugs*
the final session went very well, and we did indeed get our contracts. We also got a personal certificate each, with a personal message from our trainers. Mine was very complimentary. Feels good.
all the pressies wrapped and ready to go. pudding cooked. just the supermarket stuff and we are done.
wow good job
darling, thank you so much for the lovely calendar. We enjoyed last year's so much, with the aboriginal's stories. We used it as our family calendar, so it got quite a workout.
oh my sprite. i am so proud of you and all you have achieved. i think all you are planning sounds fantastic. i think you will be a terrific manicurist.
can you scan/photo the cerificate to show me, please?
even better, rose, I will just be a nail artist.Looks like I am finally getting my life back on track, doesn't it :) I planned my first sessions alone in the roster yesterday. Volunteered to do the early morning shift on Jan 1st. Most people will want to sleep in, so that would be a tough time to fill.
of course, I will. Hold on, I have it right here.
and yay me...got the mail off in enough time. it's so lovely to hear you have received it. groovy phoned me and she was in tears. the one i sent her had pics of the places don and i showed her when she was here
you did, good job! :) Aw, sweet Kiwi. It is so special. Babble people are a good bunch.
groovy is ultra-special to us. she is such a sweetheart and generous to a fault. also my card etc was the first she had received this year. i can't understand why people don't warm to her. i could just hug and hug her. mind you, i could die happily in your arms honey.
btw, i have worked out how we can fly over without too much discomfort. of course i need the disabled seats for myself and my carer (don) which would allow us both to stretch out .
all i have to do is book the seats whenever we decide to come over. and ditto going up to see liz and her other half. so simple.
awesome! That is so good. Yes, I love Kiwi too. Always have. She is lovely and funny and warm. We always used to sing together in babble, did you know?
no i didn't. how funny!!
how did you do it?
one of us would start a song in chat, and the other would join in
ask Kiwi, she will remember :)
amazing! that would have been such fun... brb. TENS
brb, bowels are giving me hell this morning

thanks :) Scanning the Sensoor stuff for you now. It is all in dutch though.
please to accompany scan with translation... loll i told you my dutch is pitiful... lolll
hehehe well won't translate everything, that would take too much time. just the highlights, I can manage.
what is on for you today sweetie?
email sent, rose
just some domestic stuff for me today. Perhaps a trip to the stores, peeling potatoes, preparing the greens. I plan on sitting down with my crocheting and binge-watch some series.
ooh... i have it...maybe i'll print it off... just for me...
*giggles* Silly rose! But you are wonderful. Thanks for caring.
how can i not care?? you are my soul sister.. xoxox
true, dat. Still, you are much much appreciated.
nice to know and feel. luv ya heaps.
wish my Xmas gift had been sent earlier. Can't hurry the mailman though. Pity.
awww sprite. anything that extends christmas is welcome. i so love this season..
just the other day I told Rob I needed new glasses, because I cannot read or craft anymore with my glasses on. Imagine crocheting, looking at the work, then putting on glasses, watching TV, looking back at crocheting, glasses off...
then, what happens? Rob damages his own glasses and needs to replace them with new ones, sigh. At least 300 euro damage. No new glasses for me, for some time.
my darling... too heart-breaking. you poor people...
men, lol... always breaking something or other!
some day, we will get a break and some distant great-great-great-uncle will leave us a small fortune. I have faith that will happen some day ;)
you poor sweetie. i know exactly how you feel. when the mother passed on, her estate gave me so much freedom... as you know.
yeah I know and I am so happy for you. You know how it is to struggle all the time. You really deserved a break.
fireflies
greying out that V was a true struggle today
WTG SPRITE!!
i was emailing worzel.
a big *hug* for you, rose, and sleep well again tonight. Luv u :)
ah, give him and his lady my best

xoxox all who follow. not a great grid...but it was not too bad.
Rose! happy Christmas tp you. Still holding your hand but the arm is to be emptied again this morning so this is a quick visit.#

God morning!

matty...yi5/16.
hah, happy to see you, rosie!
{{hugs}} my darling ruby. i received your package. xoxox
do you think it's inappropriate to give the lunch lady a little Christmas money?
I am afraid of offending....
yi5/16. yi + half of one twelfth of a foot + vowel
ruby...money is always good, dear.
Thanks!
It is strange navigating this very different culture, even after this long
ruby... any gesture of appreciation is welcome, sweetie. no matter the culture or language.
These people are truly wonderful -- even acquaintances offer to hekp and the Neighbors all check up on me
ruby... the letter opener... any chance you can fill me in on it's history?
It was one of my Art Deco (or maybe Nouveau) treasures, bought at an antique shop 30 or so years ago
so it is probably from 1930's or even earlier
my dearest.... that is too much... you are so generous.
Is it me or is it a tough grid today? I have nothing bigger than a six and am just over halfway
no no, I have gotten to the stage where I would rather give away something that I own and love, rather than something that I buy
It's tough for me, too, Matty, but then again they are all tough forme LOL
cr9/66. c + most of to lease + twitter you + not early

re8/45. re + what God did for the world.
Thank you!!
Right - off to brave the supermarket
bon courage, Matty!
the la8 has me stumped. I have the beginning, but not the last 2 letters duh, moi
tr9. follows tr5 and tr6, tr6, tr6. tr7/40. tr + top card + most of cereal grass. now for tr9...past tense tr7
la8. not early + vowel + ***vous, edgy
un8/50. un + what God did to the world

thanks rose
Wow. You are popular ruby
nbs
with 100 words, I am only missing 4th column e for nbt
I know more people he** than any other place I've lived, and with husband not living he**, people aren't afraid to approach
he was always unsociable and aloof
That sounds nice and friendly.
It is surely a surprise for me as I always thought that French people didn't like Americans

Good morning all.
is there a clue for cr9 please?
Hi sukee. How are you today?
I'm great, how are you?
Our temperature is going up to 13 today and tomorrow.
I am good. Got the hardest bit of sorting to do today. Got a double mattress to get down the stairs and outside! Will be better when I done that. lol
Nice and warm then.
Good luck, I can't even flip my mattress.
I struggled so I got a no flip mattress.
Will be fun! lol
Do you have to do it alone?
I do. I am very independent and love the challenge. Getting it downstairs will be the hardesty bit. #Once that is done then I just got the bits of the bed base to go out and the rest is small bits and sorting. Getting there slowly though. Again waiting for the landlord to bugger off out. lol
I'm lucky, the supers here will take stuff down for me, they even got rid of my old TV.
I guess you can just slide it down the stairs :)
I don't suppose you have the cr9 do you?
not yet
Yes. Then there are the corners! Am wondering if a sharp knife and cutting it in to a few bits might be a good idea. lol
Looking forward to watching Doctor Who on Friday :)
gm, everyone! cr9 I think it means to be ruffled like material or leaves.
Cool. I have not seen that for years!
Hi lbd
Hi dawg. Hows you?
hi Sukee, hi Medusa! i'm doing well. today's my friday, so I'm very happy.
Cool. What arfe you doing today?
Don't get the clue!

This couple won 14 Million dollars and they say they are not quitting their jobs...
that's good, lottery winners usually go bankrupt later
Good for them. I would!
If they are not careful. I would put it in the bank and just get the interest.
of course that's assuming they get their winnings
They will :)
michigan, i think, hasn't been paying out winnings lately due to financial probs
Exactly what I would do sukee! You would get more than enough from that to live on just on 1 million!
Well, this is Canada :) We are good.
I could live on 1 million for the rest of my life. Heck, I could get by with 500,000.
but this couple i saw who'd won, and received nothing so far, not only is the state still running the lottery even tho they can't pay winners - THOSE PEOPLE are STILL PLAYING!
Nuts.
It sounds like a scam, should be illegal.
lotta things should be illegal in the US that aren't
tr9 please?
Sorry, don't have it.
Thanks anyway
it's past tense of a tr7
that you wouldn't think could be past tensed
Not with you there
tr7 seems like a noun, so, you wouldn't think you could make a past tense word out of it
got it! thanks
Was trying it with the y! lol
I just monkeyed the y
i will never understand why twas is a word and twere isn't
Good point.

TY
Down to 99. Gonna go and ge he mattress down the stairs ready to go out I think. back in a few.
Good luck.

Well that was easier than I thought it would be! Now waiting for him to go out then I will let the dogs out to run for a while so I can get the bits out. Have the base to go out too.
Time to work on the 8's

One the 7 means littler.
You too liz. WElcome. ;)
is there a clue for the te7/36 please?
hi, all. I have come through a diffficult time once again, and I am okay. I am going to start preparations for Christmas dinner today; my parents will share our meal tomorrow afternoon. My mother called late last week to ask, "what are we doing for Christmas?", so I invited them over, since she does not like to cook very much. It's so odd; she's one of the people who taught me to cook, and I love it.
Hi angel. pleased you are ok. Will be nice to have everyone together for Christmas dinner.
Just got a couple of things to do. brb
for some reason, this time of year leads me to reflect on all of the losses in my life. I am usually far from negative, but it's difficult.
I know what you mean. I lost my aunt boxing day about 10 years ago. Still miss her like crazy
Do you have a clue for te7/36 please?

Made them for...Christmas Eve? I have a Canadian meat pie recipe that I make once in a while. They are good.

my black-and-tan coonhound just bit my hand accidentally when we were playing with a tug toy. my entire hand is numb ;-(
:(
Gotta love those furry, friendly pets that send you to the Emergency Room.
one of the reasons i love chihuahuas so much. no matter how hard they try, they can't hurt you. at least the ones i have owned, can't break skin.
No kidding :-D Thank goodness the coonhounds have no human aggression, they must have the bite strength of a hyena.
lol. yeah, i am glad i learned things about dogs with a chihuahua... would have turned out bad if the brand new rescues had been big dogs... i gave the dogs a ham bone (it was easter) and my nephew who was 8 at the time, bent down to pet the dog. the dog thought my nephew was taking his food away and bit his hand rather dramatically.. not even a bruise.
hello all. trying to finish whist baking cookies
i with ya temple. i am mopping and playing
i am steaming out spots when I am at the computer :)
I have only been seriously bitten by one dog .. an English Sheepdog. It was not nice. Required stitches.

It's hot in PA?
oh yes
oven chiming. bbs
This is the first time in 3 years at least we have had what passes for a winter in central California. I am chilled to the bone all the time at 50 degrees :-)
temple, I live in AZ, i usually have the doors open, with the screen doors shut for thanksgiving and christmas. too hot inside without the air flow. might be something to try?
I camp in the desert every year, but in April/May. I can't imagine living there in the summer. Although it gets very HOT here too.
summers are awful. as soon as the kid graduates, we plan on finding a nice, cold place to live
Yes, those of us here on the East Coast know how to make good use of screen doors when the weather is warm.
I'm with you. My retirement plans (if I can swing it) involve Humboldt County.
looks very nice
Oh, yes. Cool temps all year. No hot, no cold.
that sounds amazing, actually
grrr, i hate making the bears, always losing an ear or a foot.
The most amazing place really. Gorgeous forests and beaches and weather. Expensive unless you are willing to live in a tiny house. But worth it.
just saw your message Molly. I forgot, a lot of east coasters don't have A/C or evap cooling, of course you know about screen doors! (duh, sorry)
the screens have been replaced by storm door panes.
