Mostly, yes. We had Christmas late dinner with Sarah (my daughter) and Hannah (Jeff's daughter) after both girls had Christmas lunch with their other parent
don simply cannot understand how such a large group of siblings can have so much fun together.
I was VERY cross though - Sarah arrived back here in tears as her dad pretty much ignored her during Christmas lunch - gave her a voucher for Xmas for a shop she doesn't use (honestly, a gift voucher from your dad?!), thus making her feel that she doesn't ever want to spend Christmas in London (she'd rather spend it in Philly with my brother)

I must watch it again as I was distracted last night, but it wasn't as bad as I'd feared. Some funny moments and a couple of touching ones, but very lightweight, mostly
I did, it made me tear up. I loved seeing River.
The Christmas special is often lightweight. I liked the ties it made to other episodes. I like River too - but she could still reappear.
I would like to have seen more of them together, I hope this is not the last.

the east coast is a bit colder than the west, but we do still feel the gulf stream. temps are about 9-12C at the moment

that's not so bad if you have a dry suit, I guess. I haven't been able to stand the cold waters since my family left the East Coast, so I don't swim any more. When I was very little, though, I swam in the waters here all the time.

I think fatback and streak o' lean are more of a country folk thing.
I find dialects and accents fascinating, especially as I learn Italian and listen to the instructor talk about Bolognese dialect.
I find the same scrabs... working with six nations.. some words cross over between Nations and others..completely diff... and yet all iroquois...
I'm a midwesterner living in the south in a rural area. A lot of what these people say only makes sense to them.

My mother was an attorney. When she moved to California she had to take diction lessons. She still never uttered a terminal W in her life.
I dont know any seneca ..yet.. mohawk and oneida thus far...
In order for children to get care here the mothers must be Senecas, but some of the fathers are Mohawks, Cayugas, and Oneidas. I enjoy working there and seeing the kids.
