I can't believe I saw that fe after liz called it
that was my last word
found it by chance - was with an NZ friend today.
Now see the origin is S America - I thought it was from NZ
I can't really tell the difference between the Australian flag and the New Zealand flag..
well i'm stuck with 2 N 2 S and 1 T to go
4's and 5's, shouldn't be so hard!
colour of the stars is the easiest way to tell! NZ red stars, Aus white.
Aus has the extra star on the left
Fireworks
Thanks Lickety. Happy babbling everyone
Stuck at 20
Need chocolate!
NZ is taking the smart step towards a new flag; poor old Oz will still stick to the Union Jack in the corner. (Nothing wrong with the Union jack if you're British.0 Canada did a good job with its change years ago.
fw and early to bed tonight
goodnight all
'Nite Flosey
Nini Flosey, sweet dreams

Firewords....and everyone left. Just me and my chocolate to celebrate
I need another clue for fe6, please? I did not get the earlier clues?
Have you googled the definition at 12:16?
fe6/42. fe + vowel + st ***n of ark
12:46

why do we get the small grids on the weekend?
and hello
hello Ruby
{{hugs}} ruby.
of5. of + number after nine but change last consonant
good morning. I am generally disgruntled AND COLD this AM§§§
thanks
sorry marc. of6. of + exam
bed-time for me. xoxox. ruby love, i will email you over the next day or two.
good morning all
Good morning Sprite! How are you this Saturday morning?
hiya matty :) In pain, because of a very taxing day yesterday. But it was worth it. How are you today?
Errg. I'm sorry! I'm well - still in bed about to get crumpets served to me. And going to a friend's tonight - three of us are having a gin tasting evening
I'm staying over said friend's.
That seems wise
hehehhe so it does. Sounds like a truckload of fun, matty. How wonderful.
Should be fun :) Hope so anyway. I suspect Jeff will want to spend the afternoon watching rugby
do you like rugby? Or is it a chance to read...or travel to your friend earlier?
I suspect I shall read or babble or something.
not much babble today, I am afraid. But there's always books.
There are plenty of books!
I am stuck at the moment on 24 left (not yet listed)
good job so far
Wouldn't have got the fe6 and 7 combo if had not been clued in the grid though!
I don't have any 7s yet. But good to know one is a doozy
The other 7 is a normal word though.
I can't sit on the sofa when Jeff's watching rugby. He squirms too much
lazing on the bed then :)
Yep! Isn't life tragic?
very! All the sacrifices one has to make!
I know. Awful.
So I'll end up going to the list and finding all sorts of stupid little words I should have seen. Probably a missed plural or two too
I tend to miss the obvious ones too
And meanwhile I try words like noof.
and toof. and Joof.
Yes! Want them to be there so bad.
baci and re-hello
hello ruby *hugs* How are you today?
35 left and sent Nadia to the pharmacy for my drugs
My car has died in the driveway
Not a good start to the weekend
aw that is nasty.
I need to have somebody "jump" it, but I'm too tired to arrange it
feijoas
sorry, I'll stop talking
it is really hard to do stuff when you lack the energy
don,t look at the chog....bad nel is skulking off to pb
Very good Ruby. Not many people are going to get that word without looking it up or getting clued.
I'm sorry, Molly, just having a bad, upside-down day.
Don't apologize to me, I already had that set of words. : D
don't worry about it, ruby. You got bigger stuff on your mind atm
and molly is right, a very oddball word. I looked it up and they are shrubs or fruits.
I've even eaten that (today, along with my hat)
hahahah
it's also a Brazilian stew with mystery meats and black beans
interesting. I will try and remember it. My something new learned for today.
fireflies. *hugs* and all the best.
I love this. https://youtu.be/qgDKtLPp46s
Good morning al.
all :)
I have 2 left - te5/12 and 6/21. They should be obvious but are completely eluding me...
TE + double vowel+ consonant. Then plural.
hello, sukee :-)
That song was done by Yazoo first I think, Matty.
Hi zoo.
Can't find that TE at all
TE + two identical vowels togeter + consonant then plural.
Ooops, got it
:-)
Ty, never seen that one
Interesting, lizards.
I was looking at the oo :)
Yeah it has been in the grid a few times :-)
Ah I see you were going the wrong way!
Any stats for either F in the last column?
fu 5 and 6
ty Molly
And got them :)
thanks guys - that's fireworks!
wtg
Congrats, Matty!
My favorite mustard is there.
Yes I like that on too. Lovely with sausages!
Hi kids
Helo, Scrabs :-)
Hi scrabs
We will have a nice spring weekend here. Will anyone else have a nice weekend?
gm, everyone!
Hi dawg
Yes, going up to around 16C here today which is around 60F.
Hello, Dawg :-)
Of course, day started off with a dusting of snow and now there is a low lying fog.
But, the sun is coming up
hi lbd
Yes it is lovely and sunny here today, Scrabs!
hi scrabs, hi zooz, hi sukee
I have to work 0830-12 and am on call til Monday 0800 but I can be outside doing yardwork.
Have to start thinking of my spring wardrobe :)
Which should not be hard because I badly need new clothes.
And we turn clocks ahead tonight so one less hour of being on call. :-)
That is a good way to look at it :) I wish we would stop with the change.
I have hung out two loads of washing, cut my hair had a shower eaten breakfast. Will be trimming two trees in my garden later. Busy man today!
Why mess with the clocks? Just go with the sun.
Busy, busy
Good for you, zooz!
I am debating what to have for breakfast...
My monkeys are finding all sorts of words today
Okay, 12 left, going to get some food
Enjoy your meal :-)
fe6/42?
Clued at 4;57am
ty, zooz and ruby...now to find out what it means
sounds Portuguese
never heard of it before. wonder what it tastes like.
Clue please?
Well it says plum like so i would think it taste like a plum.
fe + another name for me + most of miss de arc's first name.
fe + vowel + first three letters of Ms D'Arc
Apparently LBD and I are sharing a brain today
also described as pineapple guava
TY
uh oh, breaking out tin cap. ;)
tadone
Nice, dawg. Now go enjoy your day.
except for that fe6, it's a pretty straight forward grid.
Congrats, Dawg!
cloudy and rainy today. not sure what I'll get myself to do...could do some baking...
Too bad about the weather. We will have a nice spring day.
Not spring til the 20th, but who's counting
Spring-like day! After a not great winter. Meaning my snowplow man made money on the seasonal plan.
yeah a dry winter here. well, we got snow, but not nearly enough through february.
We would get a lot of snow then a warm spell, again and again. So I XC-skied just 8-10 times and snowshoed just 4 times. Typical is 3 times weekly for 10 weeks.
And the ski resort across the valley had an awful season. I feel terrible for them. I wonder how bad they were hit financially.
hello and tx to all the cluers of fe6!! :-)
BRB -- feeding pups and grabbing some caffeine :-)
Hi Une. I was taking a break after being stuck.
morning all! bottom row done
Nothing gets by 2Bit, no sir.
also right column :-)
Brainiac
I like to celebrate my small accomplishments
hey, dan and molly :-)

I'll take a clue for the FE 6 please?

... thanks ... plural too
newbie for me.. fw and I'm off to do great things this Saturday, lol.. Happy Babbling!
good grief...tyvm
congrats
Ms Arc, the most popular chick of the day. Or Ms Ark, if you liken her to Noah. : D
Good Morning
hi christa. anyone know the total points? stuck on my last word
1010
no....add 8 to that...
thanks
i am stuck on my last word...
1018
i am done...
ty. i guess there is a j in my final word.
hmm, no, that can't be... to plan b
my last word was to 8....took me forever to find it and it was a "real" word!....
yuck, no wonder. mine as well. happy babbling
i am also heading out...bye all...
Good Saturday morning, everyone!
Hiya!
Hiya, hego. A much smaller grid today.
yesterday too.
A cruel amount of J's today though.
And Jedi is not one of them! Stupid anti-Star Wars grid.
:)
No, the dictionary is just anti-Republic. It allows Sith :)
true Buggie!
The grid has gone to the dark side!
YIKES!!
And I got all the Js. So there :-P
Well done, I'm still missing one. Down to my last 4
<--very impressed
Most of them are J/4.
always want jeet to be a word.
like jeet? No jou?
If you could define "jeet", what would it be?
did you eat
Ha ha! To be followed by, "sko-eet".
:)
We have a restaurant here called J'eet.
Judi my sis is moving to Dover.
Well, doesn't the apostrophe just make it hip?
aha, found it, it was indeed a 4. Odd word, comes from Korean cuisine, have no idea what it's doing in an English dictionary...
Buggie Enable is far from an English dictionary.
I noticed. So much British English it doesn't know, then it goes and puts in foreign words no person has ever used in an English sentence...
Not too mention defunct coinage.
not to mention, that is.
5 left, but it's time for breakfast. Later, kids! *POOF*
bye..
defunct coinage makes no cents at all
So ture. :)
How ya doing?
Um, true
I'm doing well.. getting my hair cut today somehow with the flooding here in the bay area
Are you flooded up there?
not here in napa.. but in schellville and Guerneville for sure.. the Russian river is expected to rise 17 feet today
woohoo, fireworks. got my last 2 t words by accident, made a typo when trying to type something else :)
17 feet!!!!
YAY!! Buggie.
it's been coming down here hego... animals are walking by in pairs in front of my house
(and I don't think I've seen that word before... another odd word)
:)
congrats on your lousy typing Buggie.
we have that te5/6 all the time
it's jillibus' favorite word
It's right up there with tenrec.
we haven't had tenrec in a while
but my nephew has had tenwrecks in his car
When you least expect it.
really!?
Wait! Didn't you teach him to drive?
I have a tendancy not to finish the puzzles, I try to get at least half way and nbt and nbs, probably why I haven't seen that word before. Especially as it doesn't conform to normal spelling rules.
anyone need a clue before I go?
yes.. but he stopped practicing and failed his driver's test.. his parents didn't keep him practicing.. he smacked another car on the way to the DMV :D)
I'm good. ty
it does for lizards buggie :D)
kid's a kamikaze.
I firmly believe that there are some people who are not meant to drive. My oldest son is one of them.
so he's taking a break.. his mother coddles him far too much..
hi molly
My son was bad (not that bad) when he started, but a good driver now.
he did so well driving with me though.. we really had very few issues
it's really disappointing.. he also didn't take any college classes this last semester like he promised too.
Looking where he's going seems to be an issue.
Maybe a break is in order.
yes.. he's easily distracted..
yeah I guess the break was in order. I hope they push him to try again. I did my best
He needs a little maturity.
my brothers family is pretty screwed up overall... I've been trying to help
Sorry to hear that.
oh.. that's for sure.. that's the nail on the head hego
he's 25 going on 15 in maturity
He's 25! I thought you were talking about a teenager.
mentally I am
Tough
he's a bright, creative kid and is handicapped by his mother who babies him
He's way too old to be babied.
she's now pissed at me for saying so.. and took it personally that I "criticized" her parenting.. which I didn't >... I was pointing out an observation
She may know you're right and didn't want to hear it.
Mothers who coddle their kids are not doing those kids any favors. The world is not like that.
yeah.. well... I'm taking a break from her too then I guess. I have a lot on my plate right now anyways
How's the house coming?
I so agree Molly, it is time for this kid to start taking steps forward in his life...and she's definitely making it too easy for him to screw off
lots of work on it right now hego.. moving in on Thursday of next week. I am redoing the garage and making a large laundry area and putting in a wine cellar
a lot of my new furniture I bought starts arriving Tuesday
wine cellar a must!
No pun intended.
absolutely..
it will hold maybe 30 cases.. (I'm downsizing) :D)
:D
Must go. Have a great week. And best of luck!
the fe6 and 7 plz
bye hego
Bye...
fe (beginning of passing out) + the icon Arc woman (mostly)
Ms Arc de Ark Ark strikes again. No one seems to be using that girl who loved Chachi. Or the actress Crawford.
ty ru
well.. give me a woman and a sword and I'm all in.. :D
You could have some interesting epeesodes with such a woman.
ha!
*censors comment*
Probably for the best Ru. You wouldn't want to make any of the elderly keel over.
like me. hi all.
morning mix
time for a salad. ugh.
lettuce wait for you then
oooh.
:D
I should leaf well enough alone ... sorry :D)
how cheesy
well at least you know where I'm coming fromage

i've found 11, i'm sure i can help :)
this was a fast grid for me last night
don't want to list.
Fast = 15 minutes. Whiz Kid.
Twelve J words?!? I'll take any clues to ease my brain.
I have just begun to fight dude .... tennessee ernie 16 .... or perhaps barney rubble might help ,,,, or add **e-fi-fo-fum I smell the blood of an Englishman
phantom: obscure
phantom: interloper
Back to finish. 24 left.
how's the grid?
Mostly easy until the last 25 words.
good to know
I was here this morning, then went to work, and am home now, so taking a break helps.
could I get the stats for the bottom o please?
i mean bottom e? sorry
blue pencil
thanks nbt nbs
Interloper...perfect...
hmmmm harridan
Ah nothing changes, no matter how much time passes
2:26 confirms
Why is this bullshit allowed to continue? Seriously?
Five minutes of deafening silence! Sheesh
Silence with aplomb apparently!!

I love Vermont.. beautiful place
don't usually play much any more as I became addicted to serpentine, but it's been down for 24 hours
have been away for 2 weeks and hear that there is the mother of all mud seasons so am not looking forward to making it up our road.
I play there too eva
i like serpentine.. it died last night
do you use your same name?
I emailed Adam and it got bounced back. But just sent him another one to his gmail instead of the admin address and hope to hear something.
I hope he's okay! It's odd that he wouldn't at least post something in the forum, as that is up and running.
thank you molly for posting 441
441?
I use my same name ruru
You probably play in one of the more challenging rooms. I play in the intermediate one.
As Merp
I go back and forth .. i get my ass kicked in the hard room
I'm part of the early morning insomnia crowd
ah.. I'm never on in the early a.m.
Well if the game ever comes back up I'll see you there some time
oh ok.. see you there maybe
there's a very lively crowd between 4:30am-7:30 or so (east coast), including regulars from Australia, England, NZ
oh.. i just checked. it's not working
drats!!
now what am I going to do with my life?
ha. we'll see you more here :D)
I might have to do something drastic like clean the house

anybody have a clue for the fifth column F?
fu 5/18 - Japanese bed - though not sure how long ago you posted that request :)
ty liz! should have seen that! nbt now, and 20 to go. I think I need to list.
done! had to go to the chog for fe6/7.
good night!
You load sixteen of them
I have exactly one word for every tile with at least one word. NBT-1
serpentine is still down
Could I trouble someone for a clue for the center e that isn't a very long time?
A kind of duck (known for its down), less the final letter.
Thanks! I am now at NBT-2, having two words for every tile with at least two words.
Eugene the **** would do unleash his magkikal powers for an orchid.
This doesn't happen very often for me, but I am at NBT-3. Whoo-hoo!
NBT-4, more than halfway, fun had, moral victory declared, Happy Babbling all! *poof*
hi all, Js done
nbt, nbs
hi gwen. have just come in. took me this long to decide to have a shower.. loll
so, have you decided yes or no? LOL
fw
this was a quick one, for me anyway
OK. I give. What does nbt and nbd stand for? Anyone? I'm sure I'll feel stupid when I find out.
I mean nbs.
No blank stats
No blank tiles
I always thought it meant no black trump
Thanks, Jee!
Thanks, Jee!
Thanks, Jee!
You're welcome Richard.
Help with the fe 6/7 please?
South american pineapple guava, a shrub
Thanks.
Of course. Ha!
Easier to give the meaning than try to clue it.
With those letter combinations
Definitely. Monkeys would never get that one.
Yeah I had to use more words to find it
What is between heaven and earth?
what is between heaven and earth? the atmosphere?????
"and"
huh? air? clouds?
