There's still people here that have the St Georges cross flying but that might be because they haven't been bothered to take them down from the football and i know of one house that has been flying it for years.

Maybe they're just proud to be English.In Wales and Scotland people fly their own flags and not the Union Jack, so i suppose it's the same.I always say i'm English when asked instead of British.

We have County flags too but you don't see many people flying them just stickers on back of cars.I didn't even know what ours looked like until a few weeks ago.
We don't have county flags, but State ones. The Connecticut one is nice, blue, my favorite color
The only county flag I know is Cornwall's.

We live in Middlesex county, but it is just a legal and judicial idea.
Counties have much more relvance in the South.

we had a man walk by our house tonight and he has a 1 year old mix which is a spaniel cross poodle.She was really cute and looked more poodle as in hair, and he said there is no shedding and they are good for people who are allergic to dogs but i wonder if maybe breeders are doing to many cross breeds.Is it good in the long run?

Our kitty that died this spring was also 18...what a lot of fun we had with him!
He was the first cat I ever owned who fetched.
I found her in the parking lot at work 18 years ago. She came with matching set of 500 fleas and was about 4 weeks old.
've had 5 cats and the oldest was approximately 22 when he died.That was going by a vet when we first got him.they told us he was about 16 when we got him

I got him from my brother, as the cat adopted him and then he went away to doing army things and my ex s.i.l didn't want him, she just wanted her kittens so i looked after him and they never asked for him back...they were never getting him back anyway!

well, there was a young African American shot & killed by the police last fall; but even when the video was released to the public and it showed that the guy had pulled the policeman to the ground and was grabbing the officer's gun when he was shot by the other officer. The Black Lives Matter group still wanted that officer punished. (He went before the Attorney General & was found to be justified for that shooting. THIS one -- I doubt if this cop will get off; even he knew he was wrong!

Puppies too much work for you stid? We've got a weird situation with a boarding dog that may end up abandoned. Really cute dog, but she's pretty hyper.
no puppies yet... just really tired. Still recovering from that allergic thing a couple weeks ago. It takes a lot out of me to do anything right now.

would be a couple weeks before I could give her away anyhow... Owner dropped her off because she wanted to quarantine her to make sure she didn't have rabies, even though there was no actual known risk or evidence of exposure. We told her she would be responsible for bill, that it would have to be paid in full at pick up, and what it would be.
oh boy... another owner like this? How can there be so many?
She showed up 4 days after we expected, with 1/3 the bill she would have been charged for 10 days, was pissed that we hadn't called her to remind her to pick up dog (because we should just assume we are now her social schedulers? hah), pissed that we were charging her for the extra 4 days she'd left the dog here, pissed that we expected her to pay it all (even while admitting that we'd told her she'd have to before she left the dog), and she ended up saying "just keep the dog!" and storming out.
Receptionist called and talked to her later and explained that there is no way she's getting out of current bill, that bill will continue to grow as long as dog is here, and that we are legally required to hold the dog for 2 weeks before declaring it abandoned, so her bill will double and she will then be sent straight to collections if she doesn't come get her dog.
damn -- that is awful
She is refusing to even apply for Care Credit (the payment plan we take), but expects us to make a special payment plan/arrangements for her for some reason.
this seems very different from a person who walks in and knows they cannot afford treatment but the animal needs it... I know you would work with someone in that case. :-(
yeah - there was no good reason to bring the dog in in the first place, it's just straight up boarding. Dr. R talked to her at drop off and explained that the only person who thought the dog needed to be quarantined was the owner, and that was only because she doesn't understand behavior or rabies....
