i did pizza delivery....
here is how i make this soup: i cut up 4 or 5 large onions, and put in a pan. Then i cut up mushrooms and put into pan. then i cut up celery and put in a pan.

Now I'm tucking into the ice cream
We had chicken kiev, corn on the cob, salad and saute potatoes.
On top of the veges i put pieces of chicken and then season it. i roast it. but i add some water to the pan before cooking it so there a lots of "gravy". after roasting it i take a piece of chicken, and put in large bowl and add the gravy and veges and then add more water and some more salt if needed and warm all in microwave as needed. it is so yummy. the onions, lots of them, give great flavor.
I can't stand tinned tuna but i like fresh, but i can't stand fresh salmon but i liked tinned with loads of vinegar mixed into it.
sounds really good, but I can't cook another night in this heat
i had tuna fish sand. for lunch. we are so blessed since statistics say that so so many dont have enough to eat.

My Nan is 99 august the 5th and she has dementia and doesn't know any of her grand children(me) or her great grand children now.She's been through so much and we've been told she has a couple of weeks left to live so many times but we all say she will live until she is 100 as she is that stubborn and wants the Queens letter(It's not a letter...i can't think of the word) before she goes

I can't get there and this will sound really awful but i don't want to be there as she doesn't remember me.I used to phone her every week before she went into a home and then after, but when she went into the home she didn't know who i was and would put the phone down on a desk in the office and walk away

It's hard when a loved one forgets you, Lil, but remember that she's not doing it on purpose. When someone has dementia, their life and memories unravel like a piece of knitting and the memories go from newest first. I remember when my Dad's dementia really began to take hold and he forgot who my Mum was, calling her 'that nasty old woman who lives here' (only nasty in his eyes because she made him do stuff like getting up, dressing etc.) He thought I was my Mum for a while, as I was younger, and then he forgor both of us, only remembering his dead sisters and so on.
I want to remember her as she was, not as she is now
lil - you WILL remember her as she was but you might regret it if you don't see her now, even if she doesn't seem to know whether you are there or not. xx
But it's up to you how you deal with it, of course.
I know she's not doing it on purpose as i cared for people with dementia when i was 17
It's horrible watching someone disappear before your eyes, isn't it, Lil? Mourning them long before they're actually dead.
I won't regret it as i want to remember her as she was when we'd speak on the phone every week and she was 91/92 then.I haven't seen her since she was in her late 80's. My Mam told me that i shouldn't see her as she's not the same woman i knew

I can stay to clue for a while, if needed, but then I must get off to bed as I have physio (for my shoulder) this afternoon and also have to do comments and a judge's report for the short story competition I'm judging.
I still need too many as i started too late again but the bairn and i were in the garden until 8 and then she helped cook tea with me ..Bless her! Short story competition and how come you are judging it?
I'm judging it because I was asked to. LOL. I also get paid for doing so. Never turn paid work down and there is a clear winner, thank goodness.

Have you not been following me on FB, Lil? I've no idea what the winner gets - book tokens and points towards paying to enter the next competition, I think. It's a members only section of a writing group comp that sometimes does national comps. I've been sent the shortlist to judge as an impartial writer who is not a member of that club and lives nowhere near where it is.

Re the shoulder, I had a fall and dislocated my collar bone, ripping every tendon and ligament off that holds it down. It was left flapping about like half a coathanger. Waited a year for the repair op and now it will probably take 18 months - 2 years to get full movement of the arm back post-op.

we did have a good firewall, but that means nowt!! we were with talk talk and they got hacked into and we nearly got conned!!
