hi Sprite
hi flosey :) How was your day today?
good morning sprite
this grid will take sprite fifteen minutes (Sets stop watch)
good thanks Sprite, tomorrow better - meeting friends in Victoria, celebrating our 55th anniversary
hiya ru! Good morning to you
wow flosey.. 55?.. did he marry you when you were ten?
:D
{{hugs}} and good morning dear sprite
and a very happy anniversary, flosey
*hugs ro4* Hello dear friend, finally we meet again, lol. How was your day?
~~~~~ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ~~~~~~ to flosey and mr flosey. congratulations!!! xoxox
lol ! ru, you're sweet!!
thanks all for good wishes
busy again sprite. it was the community open house at our church.
don't overdo it, ro4... however tempting it may be while you are still high on the ket.
I will have to talk to that cradle robber next time i'm on the island:D
*grins at ru*
i hear you. i have going through the church directory to see if i can find some others peeps to cook.
you canabalize at church?
and you sprite. have you had a better night dear?
very good, ro4. Delegate and conquer.
lolll, ruru
ru, of course. The blood of Christ, the body of Christ...
hahaha, Ru, he'd just laugh!! I'm the older
yeah, I slept ok, till 4 am.
oh Sprite - how I hate being awake at that hour
lol my mother's maiden name is in the grid. Prosee. Doesn't happen often.
that's better sweetie. *giggle* i was awake until 4 am....just couldn't stay asleep properly.
yeah.. I guess back then they didn't have roman bandaids did they sprite?
I don't mind the waking up, flosey, but that darn feeling of being wide awake and not able to go back to sleep... ugh.
have never heard that name, Sprite
yes, me too, I come to the computer and find someone to play bridge
i generally sleep like a rock
it is french, originally, flosey. It is spelled Prosée, to be correct.
like a rock or under one, ruru?
rururocks... I knew it
yeah.. and I'm not just hard headed either :D
a stone-cold cannibal though
... a pound of flesh...
yeah, bite me
could have sworn corroses was a real word
now there's an invitation you wont often get, ruru
scarily quiet here all of a sudden. Uhm ru... the bite me comment was a pun, not a serious message.
lol rose, ain't that the truth :D
my ol' da used to say to us as kids whining for something to eat...here bite on that... offering us his dirt-ingrained thumb.
lol :) I like him already
reminds me of a little bit ruder joke... when there aren't enough chairs... offer your thumb to someone suggesting they sit on that, and they will have a turn-stool.
Finished at last! gotta go to sleep - couldn't leave without seeing the flashing lights!
night night, Miss Roses
WTG ROSES6!!!!
oh my sprite, sooooo funny
Thanks sprite and granny. Happy day to you both.
thank you
hmmph, ruru has wandered off, after all our clever remarks and he not here to see them.
thanx roses. sweet dreams honey.
*nods vehemently* evil, is what it is. Ru the wandering stone that gathers no moss.
someone tell roadrunner meep meep is not a word
maybe you need to have two of hem for it to be okay
hm that kinda makes sense, in an enable sort of way
i absolutely loved this grid. after my first run through i only had missed 17 words. the words kept jumping out at me. couldn't type fast enough.
night night flosey, sleep well
WTG FLOSEY!!! SWEET DREAMS HONEY AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY TOMORROW. XOXOX
* dims volume on rose*
you are never stupid sprite. sleep deprived maybe, never stupid. xoxox
awww you are so sweet
hugs sprite tightly. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
*hugs rose right back* One day, darling, we will do that IRL and not let go for an hour at the very least :D
hmmmm, we may have to let go in order to leave the airport......but i catch your drift
nah... we will leave it to the men to gather luggage and guide our way... we will hug and to hell with all the rest.
i like your style honey
:D
Mordor for the ding
I see 'Sprog' is not allowed with enable :-(
Am I on fire or were all the lone words easy to find!
Although saying that the two Ss on the bottom row I am having trouble finding anything for them lol
Well exactly 40 left to find..and as I am chatting to myself I had better go and have a break lol
mordor and smorg...cool
hello?
... good morning ruby
hello dose
I am very happy. My two "angels" just installed a stationary bike in front of the TV in the bedroom
Next year, the Tour! Allez allez
... and all's right with the world
... getting two things done at once ... how efficient can you get! ...
I love it and will keep a log of my progress
... have they put out the route for next year? ... is it going by your door?
I relly need the exercise to get stronger
I don't know, but even when they pass right by, it's still better to Watch on TV
... yes, I remember ... I was supposed to exercise more but I reached an okay point and then stopped ... I'm just fat now
I have a different problem. I lost a lot of weight last year, was down to 37 kg and with the lost weight, went my muscles.
I've regained enough, 44 kg now, but have no strength
... riding will be good for the legs and heart ... I suggest some light free weights for strengthening arms and upper body ... costs 20$ or less for a pair of one kilo and two kilo weights
My orthopedist suggested just using little cans of food
for the moment, though, if I just do the bike for a while, that will be great
... the effect is the same ... but they don't come in such nice colours and you might open them and eat the contents
that would be a good thing!
... on a more serious vein ... when is the next French election? ... my wife wants to do London next year and if she's gets that then I want to sneak across the channel and do Vimy Ridge and sneak to by mother's family's home territory southeast of Paris ... but I don't want to do it during an election ...
a word that reads the same backwards and forwards is a palin_____ ( not sarah lol)
2nd part of that clue is like Mad Max: Beyond Thunder____, but stick another letter in there.
ty mlf
4.5 -- eek!
generally, still feeling pretty good. im heavy, its hot, im tired. but i really cant complain too much.
eva wow time went by fast!
my office is throwing me a shower this afternoon. :) then im in the office monday + tuesday...then i get to work from home until Nugget makes his appearance!
nugget lol
thats what ive called him ever since the first sonogram. he looked like a little nugget!
do you have a name yet eva?
we're pretty settled on a first name. still butting heads over a middle name. ;)
I guess it would depend on if you want him to have to take a long time or a short time to have to write his name later on in life or not lol
Thelonius Monk's middle name was "Sphere"
hi harry
I campaigned unsuccessfully to have our second son named Sphere.
Hi ML
hubby is under the delusion that we, extremely white, people are going to give birth to a japanese baby. he is OBSESSED with heavily-japanese names.
that's very funny
why would you want to give you child a Japanese name if no one is Japanese in the family?
like the little girl who was convinced her baby brother would be chinese because she read that one in four babies born is chinese
that is so bizarre harey
harry
eva how about Pikachu?
hubby just loves those names. ;;sigh::
stay away from Hirohito
"Gaara" and "Obito" aren't exactly at the top of my list... :/
eva.. Sanrio?:)
Do not let him read any James Clavell then in these last few weeks
If a girl, Name her 'Tetsu Ko" --lady of steel
cross its a boy
:)
that it is a boy is the one thing we ARE sure about. (thankyou, DNA testing)
The it will be "Obu sutīru"
Spritle?
(had to look that particular one up)
Wife went to school with one poor kid who had the name "Zippety"
I know where the name sutiru comes from ugghh meaning the cartoon tv show
Zippety??
he said, at one point, that if we didnt use "Obito" for the baby, we could use it for the second dog (which he still seems to think im going to let him have). i had to pint out that there should be NO NAME he would consider for his child that would also work for the DOG. ::side-eye::
people do that all the time eva lol
We were considering Oliver for a boy, and then decided it would be a better name for a dog.
(apologies to any Olivers on the chog)
met a dog the other day called Ian - very funny
i also try to convince him that any of these names would make a "super-cute" daddy-only nickname for his son. he hasnt taken the bait on that one yet...heh
my nephew just named their dog Richard
Pochacco is drawn as a white dog with black floppy ears, but no visible mouth. Pochacco's name means pocha pocha (chubby). He was born on February 29, 1989 (a leap year) in Fuwafuwa Town.[9] He is often dressed in athletic attire, as he has a sporty and playful personality. His favorite food is banana-flavoured ice cream.
love the name Oliver
eva maybe give him the meaning of name that might make sense with it being a boy or like pochacco some type of characteristics of
I had a cat named Thomas
We have a cat named Amos
I heard of someone naming their dog .. Dog once lol
Good morning, all!
hi judi
i offered up a few family names, that at least have some meaning to us. one of them he kinda-sorta likes, but hes not sold yet.
Howdy, Judi
Reading back in chog. Eva, why not two middle names ( like royalty ).
Eva, boil it down to two names and let us vote on it in here:)
eva I was going ot ask you if you had any names chosen that were named after someone in the family or not
i say let him have a Japanese middle name as long as you can pronounce it and it has a meaning related to the two of you or something related to a male
Musuko is son in Japanese
Lots of Babblets in today's grid :)
Does anyone have both LA6's?
the 1st name we like we actually got to through a japanese name he tossed out there. i like the sound of the name + spelled the way we decided to spell it, its actually a celtic name. im just not even remotely sold on japanese names. i just dont think they sound good with our other names! (and i have NO desire to name our child after some random anime character)
la6s...one who does and the plural
i don't disagree eva but oriental names have meanings behind them
i have the La 5/6 the pl is the 6 of course:)
And one who does is the other 6
remove the l and you have two otther words ;)
thank you molly
other
i have those cross
:)
was just throwing it out there
throw something at me i don't have cross lol
I will try :)
:)
most names have meanings behind them. and the meanings arent why hubby likes them -- he likes them because of the anime shows he watches. id rather choose names that have meaning to US.
Hold your ground Eva. I'm not sure your son will be happy to find out he was named after a cartoon. : O
exactly Molly
i was named after a character in a musical. heh
were you really eva?
at the core of things, i think he just really wants a name that isnt super-common (his name is Chris, + there were ALWAYS other Chris-es around) im totally on board with the less-common name. now we just have to find a less-common middle name we can agree on. :)
i was! my dad LOVES musicals. my first name is Samantha -- after Samantha Lord in High Society (the musical version of the Philadelphia Story)
I have a cousin whose name is Chani . she was named after a female and male relative on both sides of her families names were shortened and put together to create her name
Are you a fan of musicals eva?
i grew up as a dancer -- i love musicals + theater. :)
Well Eva, that is better than being named for the car you were conceived in. : D
Eva that is so cool:)
i know a gal i went to HS with has a daughter named Camry -- ive never asked where the name came from! :X
I love musicals and theater as well
Kids can't win with names. If they are the type that want to stand out in a crowd, they get named Mary, or Joe. If they are the type that wants to blend in with the crowd, they get Apple or Dweezil.
lol Molly
Molly have you ever seen Soleil Moon Frye's children's names?
Or Jamie Oliver's children's names?
I gtg will be bck
my guess eva is she was procreated in a Camry :D
if her sister is named Corolla you know for sure
I'm actually kind of impressed. Camry's are little cars. You have to be pretty agile to get busy in one.
i mean...i cant really think of a different reason for choosing that name... but what do i know?!
In that case, i was most fortunate to not have been named "Parisienne." lol
was her brother's name TRunk?
come to think of it.. I never asked my parents where I was concieved
I could have been the Straight C, the Dynamic or the Custom Cruiser. Vrooom!
ruru, have you ever thought of a situation in which ou COULD?
good question...although I shudder at the thought of my parents having sex
don't we all? But I know the night the sperm hit the egg was planned -- probably down to the hour. My dad was still a G.P., but on his way to specializing in obstetrics.
mews
Therefore, you were preconceived.
my guess is that my conception was due to more than a few manhattans
well, PB is fine. I'm ready for breakfast.
ah, Ru - I was born in Manhattan. Do you suppose we;re related?
at the very least related JW :D
preconceived is sharp, Judi
wal, hai they-uh cuz'n ruru
ha.. my dad was an okie
is that a profession?
no.. he was from Oklahoma.. grew up in the great dust bowl
he walked to school twenty miles in his bare feet to school... etc
Hey! I think I saw him in "The Grapes of Wrath".
LE 6/7?
well.. you got the Wrath part right
I knew that. Only Texans are born professionals. (I don't do smiley faces or lols, sorry. sometimes it doesn't come across.
They are not related, MLF.
oh ty judi
Le6 is plural of those with skin disease.
sorry JW.. i'm on my First cup of coffee and not quite awake yet for humor :D
Le7: Beginning of skin disease + flower.
...le 7 is an adjective describing people who have the disease
don't apologize, cuz -- I've been up all night (just got off shift) and none too swift meself.
oh.. I did graveyard for many years in my youth
have all the L words now and the first column greyed:)
while I was in High School even
where did eva go?
time for a break. 43 left.
I am a thorough nite person. When I first started nursing, I was caught out by Mr. Ratchett Head Nurse and Disciplinarian that if I ever used the word "graveyard" again I would be on that shift permanently. So, said Br'er R.N. Oh, please sir, please don't throw me in the gravepatch!!
I have 68 left
The bed covers just rolled back of their own accord. I can't resist the invitation. Happy day to you all. Poof.
sorry, im here. (sometimes work makes me...actually...work!)
... never! ... that can't be right!
isnt that terrible?!?!
... I've never heard of such a thing!
that's cruel and unusual punishment eva
i know. horrible.
ly should report them.
on the good side.. they pay you to babble though.. that's a good gig :D
sometimes. :) it depends how busy we are.
... oh no! They're coming for me too! ... must hide! ... luck to all
multi-tasking basically IS my job, so juggling Babble is usually doable. ;)
::le sigh:: the flats that i brought to wear at work today, which fit a few hours ago at breakfast time, no longer fit. guess im stuck wearing the commuting-shoes, which do NOT match my outfit!
OH MY GOD! And everyone is so interested in what shoes you're wearing...not. Pregnancy creates it's own fashion rules Eva.
hello...hint for the le7 pls
i just wanted to look extra-cute for my work-shower today, since i know they will take pictures...heh
most of the time i dont care. but i mean, i even CURLED MY EYELASHES and WORE MASCARA today!
barefoot and pregnant
i think thats the look i will rock at the shower. heh
good morning everyone -- back for the last 80
its how i am in my office most of the time, anyway...
the women or mothers at the shower will totally understand
Just lay down the law that no one is to photograph your feet. You will be fine.
Okay, what do you call a guy who is really, really cute, but as dumb as a box of rocks?...........A himbo.
heh, folks in our office arent good at listening to your requests. last christmas, we all wore silly sweaters. one gal asked another if she could take her picture -- when the woman said NO, the gal took it anyway, acting as if she never heard her.
I don't think there are 79 more words in this grid
ok - 77
there are at least 11 more -- but im refusing to believe these last 66 exist!
i'll keep looking then
hi all. i have the 8/9 combo that is pr. what is other 8 please?
le7?
re8/45 it is a pl
re8/45
60 left
le 7: descriptive of someone with the flesh wasting disease
any clues for the re 8? ty.
eva I am with you I have 68 left and am stumped lol
re8...to have a set back...especially in addictions
re+la5/12 and then pl for the re8
mkg re plus la 5/12 and pl
re + what you swim in a pool + vowel
Was just strolling along working the grid with ease, the words almost jumping out at me. I smiled, entering one word after another--until I go down to 89--then the wall arose. it is made of thick granite blocks, hand chiseled, all hoary with the moss, vines and dust of broken grid dreams coating it, and damp with the tears of dispirited babblers.
ty got it. ty.
keep looking crossy, I am down to 57 left
bye pen and ty
OMG. its about as hot as Mordor outside.
Well, you are carrying your own little micro-furnace with you as well.
this is true. but it was also corroborated by others, some of whom dont possess a womb. ;)
When wife was pregnant, it was the only time we never fought about heat in the house in winter
Just came in. Eva, congratulations! New babble babies are a joy for all of us!
its true. my hubby doesnt even recognize me, not hiding under blankets, even in summer.
lol. it is same all over it seems :)
Up north, we never used to fire up the furnace/wood stove till there was a scrim of ice on the toilet bowl water :)
problem with all that nice wood heat was when you came in from working outside all day, half an hour inside and you were nodding off :)
77 words left and a few simple ones popping out at me now. there just may be some hope for this grid :)
It's looking that way for me too, crossy. 67 left, and still humming right along.
I was stalled there for a bit, but got second wind
Quite a few elusive P words remaining; however :(
I have 9 Ps left, and they are eluding me...
I have 12 left
p's that is
now 7. I think I'm going to have to list...
37 left and 7 are Ps
Just dug another easy one out. elusive buggers :)
Got my last 8 :) to succumb once again to a malady, and pl
4 of the p's left.
5 left here
im already nodding off regardless, so the nice wood heat wouldnt really affect me. hehe
:)
2 left, and they are the big ones. I'm guessing compound words?
ty crossy! Hi all
3
get your rest now--you will have none afterwards ;)
Howdy, Aloy :)
prefix + word - not amature + ending of building where cycling is held
or ending of old-time name for airport
so ive heard. :)
hmmm... thanks, crossy - looking :)
Is a new word for me
got them. Thanks
2 more - are there any PS words?
no
corose
oops
I am digging on a babble beach with a teaspoon now :)
I have all my c's if you would like a clue.
I will keep digging for a bit till the next wall goes up :) still managing one or two every few minutes
crossy, please only share real words. (preferably ones i dont have.) thankyoukindly. ;)
only 2 crs
hi pen
hi MLF...
53 now. I may have to list soon.
i was just thinking the same thing...
i'd like to get down to 40....
I need the pr 5/14 right after the pr9?
i have a plural but don't know if it's the one....didn't know there was a pr 9....
need the one before that one pen
the one I have is also a pl but not directly after the pr9
stuck at 44....i think i will list....
I have the pr8, does anyone know what the other one is?
re 8/45...
I'm listing too. 51.
very helpful... ;o)
found a few words i thought i had entered...
i played earlier with the iPad....with autocorrect, it's easy to think i entered words when they were "corrected" for me...
hate autocorrect
me, too....i should just turn it off...
thanks, penquis
MLF....found your pr 5/14 word...
last word. LE7
done, harry?
pen I only have 1 pr 5/14 word
i found the one you are looking for...
help please?:)
it's like the word for a verse but with the r thrown in....
where do I put the 2nd r?
only one r....the one in pr....
verse word ends in e?
no, think of verse that rhymes...
I have no idea pen sorry
you may know the word as the preface to a book
roses are red, violets are blue, etc....
sonnet?
more generally :)
simpler....p***.....add the R for pr 5...
i am done...
all I can think of is prose?
and pb for me
but I have that word
and author writes pr5/12 and a poet writes...
opposite of pr 5/12 that you have is pr 5/14 that you don't have which is the "adding r to rhyming v erse"
what i said... ;o)
Hiawatha is a p***......pr + that ***.....
brb...
