{{hugs}} dearest sprite. just popping in quickly to say i hope you had a better night. off to see grandkiddies before they go off on their holiday to queensland. i had a great day with june... lunch and some charity shopping.

probably would have needed a hyphen anyway
fireflies
Do both the pa7s end the same?
no, one is a gerund
oh, just realised i was looking at a pa6 and a pa7
The gerund is the only one I have.
And me!
And me three
i have the other now and it is not a gerund
it is the latin plural
Not seeing it, but looking...
the pl of the pa6, oxidised coating of metal
Thx
the word after the 7 is the same but with a diff vowel ending
Thank you!
Got them now. Thank you :-)
Vs are vexatious
I have all of those! strange how I could see all of the Vs yet struggling with the Ns lol
i am missing a v
and one n
V found, new word for me
The gerund is getting a good workout today.
oh yes it is :-)
I have 10 so far
11, I just found the 9 :-)
:-)
12, I didn't realise you could spell life ending that way
Yes that one was hard to see.
That is the same now as how many I have. Still have four words to find.
i thought of it early in the puzzle but didn't try it because i didn't believe it was a word LOL
down to 8
i must have tried geode several times, but there is a very suimilar word which does exist in the puzzle :)
Yes just add another vowel.
i also just found the alt spelling of the french cigarette brand
I am dancing around the cig, but can't find it
And good morning!

Hello, Ruby :-)
((zzoozz))
you are too smart, glant!
<--no big words, but found the 7's
ஜ۩۞۩ஜ F.I.R.E.W.O.R.K.S ஜ۩۞۩ஜ
ஜ۩۞۩ஜ FIREWORKS ஜ۩۞۩ஜ
My last word was PA 5/12
ha ha ha
you guys!!!
mine was a slang word for potato ta6
Ah the TA 6/18!
yup. suppose i had better go do some chores as the house looks a bit neglected and I am working Friday/Saturday/Sunday...
Have fun all
Have a great day, Glantarell :-)
How are you keeping, Ruby?
so-so
Strange weather, but cooler today. I think summer is over!
I think today is going to be our last day of a warm Summer. Must admit it has been better than I thought it was going to be..so no complaints here.
I loved the unusual heat, but the garden is a Brown mess except for the valiant roses
I kept mine watered with my little watering can.
I'm too wobbly to go in** the garden alone as the ground is very unev**
Do you not have your gardener still?
He comes when he pleases, but watering requires regularity :(
I can't afford to have a real gardener; he is more of an occasional handyman
Better than nothing!
You could put the hose pipe in one of your dogs mouth..thurn the water on and then throw a ball and say catch. After a while of doing that your garden will be watered LOL
yay, I found the 9!!
hahahah
The idea of a chow helping is a riot! They don't ev** play "retrieve"
Good going on the 9 Ruby!
they're like cats
Well I suppose they would get rsther hot with the fur they have on them!
like 3You wantme to do what?"
You mean you throw something and they just look at you and with their eyes say Ha yeah right..go get it yourself!
Exactly!
Snap, Ruby lol
"Are you speaking to me,"
LOL
They''re guard dogs and lovers and sleep 26 hours a day with one eye open to protect me
And also the prettiest dogs in the world!
As long as they are protecting you and givig you unconditional love then they are doing great!
Sorry for the typos.
<-- didn't see any typos
I missed the N in giving.
I'm so pleased to "see" you, that you could write in code and I'd get it
And the word of the day is "gerund". I'm betting it gets said a LOT in the chat today. : D
Ya think?
We should gather in the PB bar and drink and place bets on how many times it gets said. : )
shot for shot!
Sorry, Ruby, I had a phone call. Nice to see you. I am off out now. Hope you have a great day. Hello, Molly :-)
bye zzoozz
Ooo Ruby. Drinking game. Do a shot every time someone says "gerund".
tequila
(wouldn't be the first time but not necessarily with gerunds)
I see Ruby as Marion Ravenwood in the Indiana Jones movies, drinking everyone under the table.
hahah
until I pass out in** the guacamole
Oh, but think of the nice, avocado facial you will get
I have a what would you do that is off the beaten track. Can I ask your opinion?

I went to college with a girl and was in her wedding. The last time I saw her, her husband would not let us leave his sight. I have not heard from her since. About 10 years ago, it was in our alumni newsletter that she had passed. I contacted our college and asked if they had any more information. They told me they knew nothing but gave me the husband's address. I just recently read her father's obituary and discovered that she and her husband are actually living in Florida. Do I attempt to contact her?
nm
I think you could send a card for her fathers passing - up to her if she wants to re-establish contact
Good morning, everyone :) A harbinger of of autumn is upon us. it is a balmy 9C here this morning :)
yes ... it's almost cold in the house this morning ... the Starks were right ... Winter is coming
"A land of sweeping plains, Of ragged mountain ranges, Of droughts and flooding rains" - at the moment we are doing the flooding rain part. Good evening guys
.. we don't need the flooding part but we could take a bit of your rain and be better off for it
careful what you wish for
... heavens ... another week and I'll need a sweater ... three weeks and I'll need a jacket ... eight weeks and I'll need the coat ... and there's nothing I can do about it ...
relocate?
... and give up hockey? ... never!
It's not so warm in southern New England
Hockey, healthcare, and a Canadian Mist distillery 3 minutes from my home. What more is there? :)
is C Mist whiskey?
yes indeed
... only have a craft brewery at the end of the street ... but it's nice product
most of it is pretty blended, but still it is not too bad
we have 3 craft breweries--including one dedicated to hard cider made from local apples
4 craft breweries*
mmm cider
Canadian Mist (whiskey) Side Launch Brewery (beer) Steam Whistle brewery (Beer) Creemore Springs (beer) and Thornbury Cider House (hard cider)
This years product will be very sweet. The apples are medium-sized due to dry month last month, but the harvest looks good numbers-wise
... yeah ... but you've got all those skiers who need all that alcohol at the end of a long day on the slopes ... Whitby only has tired commuters so we've only got three craft breweries
Many varieties will not be harvested till next month as well :)
lol, Dose
yes, but they are all coming up from Toronto and Whitby ;)
Goodnight all
had to check with google. You are almost exactly a 2 hour drive south of me :)
goodnight, Lynxx
... g'night lynxxx
... a bit more ... it used to be 3+ hours to my in-laws in Southampton and that's about half an hour or a bit more west of you isn't it? ... but if I was filthy rich and used the 407 or if I went straight up highway 12 around Lake Simcoe ... yeah 2 hours and a bit
I have never used the 407. A private toll highway sponsored by the government that has the power to hold renewal on your drivers permit if you do not pay up? No thank-you!
... never use it myself ... by the way ... the money all goes to the Spanish government ... the conservatives sold it to a Spanish consortium about 25 year ago
Southhamptom is 107 k west of me, that is where the time difference lies
For me, once you get on the 400N, it is a straight shot almost to my front door
... one forgets how far apart places can be ... it's been a 26 years since my mother-in-law moved away ... it is surely entirely different that it was ... ... the 400 is west end of the city ... I'm far east ... I don't expect to get to the 400 again until I have grandchildren to take to Wonderland ... for me ... i'd be tempted to go north around Lake Simcoe simply to avoid the city ...
I tend to avoid Toronto like the plague--unless I need, Sick Kids, or Princess margerette
... I use the GO train ... so downtown is no problem ... but I too avoid driving there
Yup #12 to #11 then to #27. they can keep their 407 lol
26*
You will have to visit one day. will make you a crossy brakfast
breakfast
... net year ... after prom month
... oh my goodness ... just got the last 7 ... never done that before ...
got the 9 with no problem
... well don
... well done

Work. So intrusive. Pffth.
< Photo courtesy of "People of Walmart".
I never knew about this PoW phenomenon. I just spent 5 minutes perusing the site. Fascinating.
the America we never knew
Hilarious, yet horrifying. Apparently, many people feel they become invisible upon entering Walmart stores.
(she's getting ready to vote for Trump)
The two geniuses in this photo are applying for a job at Walmart. Sad, but probably at least one of them will be hired.
Obviously one of them needs money to buy underwear and proper fitting pants.
it's a little cheeky of her to think showing a little skin will get her hired
Wrong cleavage showing there.
hopefully she doesn't get an anal manager like judi's
Butt puns. A new low.
(rumps for Trump)
I resemble that remark.
and there is a video, which apparently I've missed for the last 5 years!
And I am flanked by many others.
it has 11 million views
I am so out of it.
ty I had gotten it already:)
hi harry
hi judi
hello mlf
*waves to all*
showing a little crack is just in her arse-nal of tricks to get hired apparently
that was clever ru.
Yeah. She'll be really bummed if she doesn't get the job.
(judi says don't egg him on harry)
you guys are on fire.
well if she does get it .. it will be by the seat of her pants
bottom line, she'd probably get canned
She won't be able to work in the glute free section, though.
LOL
likely she'll be mooning over how many hours she has to work for little pay
found the 9!
Congrats Harry
and got halfway - just missing the 8

how do you get the olive out of your martini? with you fingers?
tooth pick?
Isn't the olive usually on a little toothpick thing?
can i get another clue for the to7 please?
To7: 2000 lbs + one prong on a fork.
I don't think I've ever drank a martini, so I don't really know. But carrying a fork with you seems like a good idea, generally.
in any case, I better prepare for class. adios!
ty got it
i have never had a martini either and no desire to do so either
(shocked look)
martinis are gifts from heaven
Those little green olives are revolting.
i would rather have a Screwdriver or a g& t or a Fuzzy Navel
judi i don't like olives either
<--- loves olives
Proof that aliens live among us.
i just guessed on the ve 7/48 not realizing it was a word
it takes an artery to find some of those v's
that word wasn't hard to find ruru
11 left. They'll have to wait until after lunch. See y'all later!
bye judi
good afternoon all
Typically, martinis are not served with olives on a toothpick of any kind. They rest at the bottom of the drink and you tip the drained glass to your mouth to roll the olives into your mouth after you drink the gin.
*Notice I did not mention vermouth*
hi wv
is ai 4 a babblet?
oops sorry can get a clue for the an5 please?
NEVER MIND
what is a babblet?
gi6?
Babblet here normally means a word only found in babble. Although they are valid words they are not used in everyday conversation. That is the best i can do to try and explain, Nicky.
Gi + brown fron sun + vowel.
ty
hi use
sue sorry
hi zooz
Hello, Mlf.
hello all...
hi pen
Hello, Penquis :-)
does anyone have at4?
at+ monkey
ty sue I could not find it
First Di 6/24?
hi all.
hi...
I love olives, any kind. I like martinis too
hi peri
MLF....there is no di 6/24, i don't think...
di 6/27?
the firs one....kicking the bucket.....croaking... ;o)
ty pen
got the other one just now thinking I already had it lol
I'm glad you asked that question Nicky. People here throw a lot of "Babble specific" terms around and I'm sure it confuses newcomers and those who do not play frequently.
The way some people here refer to their monkeys finding words, there are those who might think the entire Babble playing population lives in the jungle.
i am done...
congrats pen
ty...
congrats pen

g'd'afternoon, babblers!
Tick tock Eva, the time grows near.

I listed at about 59...
saw you had a bad reaction to the break room all fixed now ?
Not yet, still trying to narrow it down. Truthfully, I didn't enjoy ending up in urgent care Tuesday night, but I am glad I went... I know to use the epipen a lot sooner next time! Once I know what the real trigger is, I can either avoid, request accommodations, or find a medication to help control the reaction.
that's really awful I hope you can find out what's causing it
thanks. I will, it's just a matter of time. At least I determined I am not allergic to my students! :-D
that's good !
are you well?
I am
no allergies but husband has them so I can sympathise
Sometimes I think it's harder on my husband than on me -- he ends up picking up the pieces.
his are mostly plant related and he's convinced he's allergic to the color purple
hm. color allergies. That is a new one to me... I have the gamut -- respiratory, contact, animal, vegetable, mineral... random and weird.
we have a lovely lilac tree and I love them but can't bring them in the house
I love the lilacs in my yard, but my mother cannot tolerate them... There are a couple weeks she just cannot visit.

don't have it so looking now
hope you are well ruru? you have new digs, I think
i'm doing fine thanks
we are watching recorded craig ferguson shows this evening... he is so funny
he really is funny
It was a great moment in our family when we discovered he had guested on an early "Red Dwarf" episode...
we enjoy trying to figure out "who's that actor" when we watch shows.
imdb gets a workout!
I like Craig on his late night show can't say the same for the game show
