hi flosey dear. are you and himself well?
yes thanks Rose, and you and yours?
fine thanx. my last infusion is still carrying me nicely.
good to hear Rose
i actually did all the folding, sorting and ironing of the last lot of washing today... and put it away.. loll
wow Rose, sounds great but please don't overdo
were you pressed for time GR?
not likely flosey. i am allowing myself one major chore/day. and if i have to split it over 2 days, i do so.
*groan* dorens but lolll
good to hear
ooohhh dorens... i just thought of a neat response.
fw and off to bed - what a lovely thought, goodnight all
WTG FLOSEY!!! sweet dreams honey
thanks Rose
good morning all! Fireworks here. But since when has st7/44 a 17th century Dutch-colonial coin been part of the English language? much monkeying then aaaaargh.
good morning all
and {{hugs}} and good morning to you too sweetie.
*hugs rose* Hello my dear friend, how are you today?
apart from getting a little too warm at times i am sill cruising, honey. and you? your night? your yesterday??
not bad at all, rose. The hotness may be unpleasant but is all in all the least of the issues, isn't it. I am a little mwah. Body is acting up, lots of pain, and got a rotten email from Cobi just now. Yesterday was ok, did most of what I wanted.
egad, what has Cobi got up her nose? and so sorry about your pain honey. and good for you achieving what you did.
she feels bad about not being the friend I deserve and wants to take a leave from trying.
huh?? that's so stupid..
isn't it? My first reaction exactly.
what does she expect from you? what do you expect from her? if life issues are getting in the way, build a bridge for goodness sake!!
pardon me sprite, but it seems so petty minded and selfish. is it too hard for her to adjust her attitudes?
amen, sistah. If you have a good friendship, you talk things out, you work for it and make it work. You don't just give up.
i learnt that the hard way and almost lost my dearest, closest friend ever. fortunately for me, although 10 years my junior, she was able to teach me the facts of friendship, bless her. and now i can reach out to others with the same genuine hand of friendship.
*hugs rose* Precious, isn't it, that kind of friendship. It is the only way I can do it. I don't do halfway-decent friendships... those are just acquaintances to me.
not sure I spelt that right, but you know what I mean
Morning all! Does anyone have stats for the top corner E?
exactly sweetheart. is that what Cobi wants? just to be an acquaintance?
can't imagine that is what she really wants, but it is what her email indicates, yes
eg4/6, 5/14 matty
hiya matty :)
Good morning. Sorry to hear about pain and Cobi. That sucks.
yeah it does. Thanks matty :) Well, enough about that. How are you today, matty?
sprite, it it so sad. maybe you DO have to st4 back and allow her the space. it's difficult to counsel. i am sure you BOTH are beautiful people.
I'm all right - slight cold, but otherwise ok. Hoping to see a friend for lunch today (my life is not very exciting!)
thanks rose. *hugs*
well i know you are beautiful, sprite.
matty, who needs an exciting life? Lunch with a friend is a blessing. Sorry about that cold, I hope it will go away quickly
Heh. It's not too bad. It's not man flu ;)
*hugs rose* as are you, my dear friend
roflollll matty!
Still haven't found an 8 or 9, despite being more than halfway through...
Lots of tea, matty, and lots of vit. C... and lots of rest and fresh air.
coffee out with june tomorrow. do you think i will be motivated to clean the bathroom before or afterwards? it was due about 2 weeks ago....i DO have the bucket of cleaners etc in the room..
matty, would you like a clue?
I've been doping up on tea, Lemsip (occasionally with a bit of whisky) and fresh air.
I have one 8, and I have only 48 words left, lol. Want a clue for that one?
Rose, that'd be great - I haven't listed yet so I don't even know where to begin looking
very good, matty! Whisky is great for colds :D
lolll, whisky would be a gret additive
Oh yes! It doesn't cure the cold, but it makes you not care that you have one
le8: he who does what words are made up of
Thanks Sprite!
okay. le9 is a plural. le6, part of the alphabet + ** um i don't know
That's nbt/nbs now ;)
And thank you Rose :)
yay you matty.
oh, lol, thanks rose, had not realised it could be pluralede
good job matty
It's the little accomplishments in life
xoxox sprite. that s comes into a lot of use
as do the double consonants
very true. We count our blessings, we are rich
oh cool another one. De7/8 de + waterflow from mountains to sea
Hah - is that when there's a drought?
roflol, good one!
Another 7/8 - ut - people who talk.
another forgotten plural. Thanks matty
If I try 'sturn' one more time, I will need slapping
*giggles*
Hi and hugs - just here for a few minutes, while something else is downloading. Making a photo book from the 90th birthday party on Sunday.
Is there a word that actually uses the Z?
major discussion going on on the tv. islams of course. they are saying the muslims isolate themselves. but so do the jewish peolpes. what is the difference? australia accepts jews. why not muslims?
don;t think so, matty
sp6/36 uses the z
I haven't found one yet.
*hugs Liz* Hi there :) Hope the both of you are well.
{{hugs}} and kisses to you both lizgirl
Yes, we're fine thanks. You?
ah, thanks rose. Odd one for me.
good to hear, Liz. Yeah, I am well.
po7/8, matty. Think attitude.
OK, looking. That's got a Z in it?!
sprite, po7, 8, 8
no, not the po7/8.
OK - download is finished, so I'm out of here. Hugs to all.
Oooh - that WAS confusing me ;)
ah, thanks again, rose
bye Liz *hugs* for both of you
lolll nooo the sp6/36 has the z in it
sorry matty!
xoxox and hugs liz. enjoy your evening honey
Right, have those PO words - gonna get in the shower - back soon - and have a good day Liz
enjoy, matty :)
Thanks for letting me know I haven't typed a 'z' for so long that the key was actually stuck!!
How are you ladies tonight?
lol
hiya Kamanjah. I am fine, you?
Doing quite well, thanks!
good! :)
doing goodly thanx kam
I was trying to finish up and get to bed, but the z key sticking made me laugh, so I had to pop in and say hi!
Glad you're feeling good Rose, I should pop in and say hi more often.
*grins* well, thank you Z key, then, for letting us chat with kamanjah
::grins::
st7/44 is a dutch word for one of our former coins. I have to look it up to see what it is in english!
Hubby went off to visit his dad till tomorrow night, so I don't have to pick up until tomorrow afternoon, yay for being lazy ;)
lol it means the same thing. Nice to know.
how lovely, kam, a couple of days to yourself
Always enjoy them! But the poor doggie waits out in the driveway for him to get home - until I go to bed, then he comes for cuddles.
aw how sweet
He's a Springer Spaniel, and he is the happiest dog in the world, I swear! He loves to run, run, run! And cuddle. I'm missing him inside now though, but I'll get to bed after I find that old coin and 28 other words
oh lovely, a Springer. Our dog is a king charles cavalier. They are such wonderful dogs, those spaniels.
fireflies
*hugs rose and Kam* Sleep well, both of you.
WTG SPRITE!!! loves you!! xoxox
Yay Sprite! Have a great day/night! Just after 1AM here
Well, Rose, if you're still here, the definition of the old Dutch coin is...the old Dutch coin...Sprite will giggle :) GEEZ, it was 100 degrees today and it just started raining!!!
Fireworks. Have a great day all!

... hi ruby
hi ruby
don't have it
Everything is back on track with my son! He was 10 blocks away when the bomb went off in Chelsea and I think it served as a Wake-up call
how many in here are heartbroken about Angelina and brad getting a divorce?
<-- not
wow ruby glad he is safe!
Not me, I just feel bad for their kids.
Not I. Why would I care?
ty mlf
exactly bichon lol
why did they have and adopt sdo many kids?
Trying to avoid public places
Serial adopion
me, too, bichon.
I have a du5 ending in a s can get a clue for the other one please?
they are "do gooder's" i think that's why
You take one kid and raise him/her in a lavish lifestyle. That's not being a do gooder. Opening and orphanage and providing food is.
i think its the younger kids who don't really understand what is going on where the older kids are probably more aware of the situation
I agree Bich.
me, too, Bich
bichon i just mean that they think adopting them and :giving them better lives then whatever their situation where they came from might have been" only guessing however
Why is being a "do gooder" considered to be negative? Surely it's nice that people do good things!
i suppose it depend on what the are doing or how they go about doing it ray?
I don't recall seeing any comments that said being a do-gooder was a bad thing.
I think there's one set of rules for "stars" and aanother for everybody else
I guess so but I can't see why trying to provide a good home for these kids is anything but laudable. Even if the parents split.
agreed ruby they can adopt children from foreign countries with no problem the average person its made difficult to do so
but why not fund an orphanage of a food program?
Just seems to be a perjorative term these days..
or*
... it depends upon what you mean by the word "do-gooder" ... if it is a person who does good things then who can complain? If it is a person with a holier than thou attitude to their goodness who can care about them?
maybe they do both
they also go to different countries to do what exactly i don't know but i think its children related
The ability to adopt is all relative to how much money you can throw at it.
ruby i cant find the st either
6
you don't have to be a rich celebrity to adopt its expensive to adopt to begin with rich or not and a lot of red tape and paperwork
... Ruby...she and then the both of them were trying to be activiely engaged...if you just fund it then somebody must be hired to run it and somebody must be hired to monitorthe way the other person runs it ..... my impression is she was trying to be more actively involved......my impression is she is stillinterested ... I don't know if he is or if she'lllet him
We got our daughter from Catholic Charities. They were so wonderful to us, despite not being Catholic
dose last i heard it looks like he wants to continue to act whereas she wants to be a mom
that is awesome Bichon congratulations!:)
That was 38 years ago
That is a good story, Bichon!
... my impression too ...but if acting is a job..then I had a job and raised kids ... admittedly not the dozens they have ...
we had a neighbor who adopted 3 American children back in the 60s/70s
Yes, a Jew and a lapsed Lutheran
lapsed Lutheran?
a Lutheran who no longer practices any religion
dose raising kids and acting or both jobs in my opinion:)
bichon ohhh:)
see you later, kids, bye
... absolutely ... but you don't get paid to raise kids ... and it must be difficult to raise kids when you live in one place and work in another half way around the world ... but he's got the money to do it ...
bye ruby
dose yep
I think the kids have private tutors and travel with the parents
bichon probably
26 left will be back
... I'msure they've got tutors and nursemaids by the score...but if one parent is working in Europe and the other is working in Asia which one does the clan go with? ... ... allkinds of problems which I'mglad that I never had to workthrough
Not living in one place doesn't sound great for the kids
... by the way ... lickety doesn't have an st6 ... there's an sp6/36
... and gotta go ... luck to all

Fine here. the weather is going to get nasty in a bit here though
bummer...gorgeous day here today....
They've been predicting flash flood warnings for our area since last night. So far it hasn't been bad; but they just broke in to news program saying the storm is about 6 miles from us.
wow, that is close....
We went to a scholarship fundraiser "picnic" today that was held inside because of the weather predictions; it didn't start raining until we were on our way home.
I just heard thunder for the first time.
we could use some rain...
& we've had too much this year.

okay, in no particular order, so 4/5, 6/27, & 8/55 all have something to do with the opposite of hard. Ut 5/12, 7/33 & 8/45 have to do with talking.
aha! and i had that of5 but not the 7
re 6/21, 8/45, & 7/32 all have to do with going back to a place.
le 6/18, 8/40, & 9/54 have to do with mail.
That should help you a lot! :-)
interesting. had most of the root words but they have unusual endings in the biggies
indeed it does thanks :)
I need to go now; I can wander back in a little later.
