we have lily-of-the-valley, bluebells, White forget-me-not, native violets which are pale mauve with a creamy throat, begonias, cyclamens. still need to put in the snowdrops and a patch of usual violets

There are many many words that appear in the grid yet I forget them just as soon as they have appeared lol
There are players that keep a list of those kinds of words. I am not that regimented in my playing style. : D
Oh, there are people that keep lists of everything. I also play a brainless hidden object game. Some of the players have spreadsheets to keep track of 'neighbours', gifts, stuff to collect and the like. I keep it simple
Sprite has a list in her profile of common babblets (and words we make up sometimes)
The only thing I have written down are what babblers were saying on a regular basis to giving clues. Example : er = more so ; ier = even more so ; iest = the most. Etc
Just my way of playing, but I find if I have to go to lists and morwords and a2z for the majority of the words, I am not accepting the challenge of the game which is to find as many words as "I can find" in the grid.
It is amazing how many ways babblers can play the game from what you have said, Molly, to using morewords etc or / and lickety to asking for clues in the grid and getting NBT/NBS and then leaving.
I play until it's not fun anymore. I sometimes use LicketY (in truth, I don't think I've ever finished without) and occasionally morewords (and gentle clues, of course). I used to feel I HAD to finish every day. I then realised that made it too much like hard work (for me) - and I'd ended up not playing at all for a couple of years. Now, I just play until I don't want to

Some grids (like yesterdays) are not fun for me either. I find what I can and leave the rest. I was spending way too much time at the computer when I was finishing every grid.
