We live in a fairly large suburb near the city; & we had to get our TV by satellite too (but our internet is cable).
We actually have cable running past the property but the telephone exchange cannot support it (one day maybe) We also have a lot of trouble with mobile phone coverage
So, even on the other side of the world the cable company doesn't do what it promises?
lol absolutely although its more a governmental thingThey have just put up a new phone tower tho and we are waiting for it to be turned on - that will be great if it wordsks - we won't have to go outside and stand on the top of the hill
I have to go and do some work but will be back later bye for now
LOL! Last time I was in my hometown (upcast of North Dakota & just south of Canada; I had to drive out to the Vet. Clinic and stand on the dirt road there to get a signal from my cell phone. (My sister is a veterinarian up there).

I'm retired from a paying job; but now Dh's MS is finally catching up to him so he "jokingly" says I'm his full time nurse. It's true; but it is wearing on me sometimes.

I have 112 words left. And a pile of laundry to fold. I think I'm going to skip both & go to bed at the flip.
I have an adult child with a disability. He lives nearby in a group home. At long last I got the benefits he needs so that I'm not going to the poorhouse. He's doing well, too, which is the important thing.
I do laundry once a month at the laundromat. I bring my crossword puzzle book, and all is well.
