Hi Flosey
stope
stopes
good morning all
good morning Sprite
Hi and hugs, Sprite
*hugs Liz and flosey* How did your day go, dear ladies?
Good here, thanks. Went to see Rogue 1, which we enjoyed.
ah nice!
How was your day yesterday. Did you relax the way you hoped?
yes I did. Did a lot of crocheting while watching a series. Almost done with a baby blanket.
Lovely! And your night?
still a bit bumpy, dr5s not yet calmed back down. Might be january before that happens, since the firework noise is already starting here :(
how is your head, flosey? Headache gone?
Hope it's quicker than that!
stupid ptsd is always triggered by the sudden blasts of fireworks going off at random moments. December is not a good month for me.
but no use complaining about it. A person can grow old with it, grin. I guess flosey has gone away for a spell.
That's such a shame :(
Did I tell you I finished the Rhyme books. There must be some more to be written - they can't possibly leave the Watchmaker out there!
indeed! He is still writing, so we just have to be patient.
I'll check and see if there are any more.
I might have a new series for you. Two, actually. Both by Ann Charles.
Never heard of her! I feel so ignorant - you know so many authors!
I just happen upon them, try them out and if I like them, I read more of them
I'll put them in our dropbox somewhere today.
cooee from me. {{hugs}} all around. xoxox
Google tells me, through the Deaver website that there was a new book published in August. The Steel Kiss.
Hi and hugs, Rose
there she is :) *hugs rose extra long and warm* Hi sweetie, missed you. How are you doing today?
I'll check
And another one due in April
How are things with you, Rose?
another long tiring day out by 9:45 this morning, not home until nearly 5pm.
Brick wall time but still got 128 words left! Will have to list soon.
Sounds busy - was it a good day?
and dr john says he can help me with my lower backache.
found it, Liz, will drop it too for you
Lovely, Sprite. Thanks. That'd be good Rose.
ouch darling, that is way too long and much. Are you enjoying yourself? Oh wow, good news from dr john!
accomplished a lot. dr john, two different chemists, lunch, podiatrist and finally CT of my lower back in preparation for procedure.
well done, Rose. But overdone too ;)
Liz, I will drop Deaver within 10 mins, so you can continue reading the series. The other series will be later today.
and the council have dug up our crossover to the street in preparation for new one. so we have to park our car on the nature strip over the road.
At least you've got somewhere else close by to park.
Don't worry, Sprite - when you've got time.
but.... i have a new cream containing ketamine plus two neuro drugs to rub on the nerve. and don has the pudding on cooking.
Yay for Don :) and hope the cream works well for you.
how are you dear sprite? are you progressing well?
book dropped, Liz :)
and liz ?? at this time of year don't you have an important religious festival about to happen?
sounds good, all in all, rose! I hope the cream and drugs will help you manage better. Will you be able to rest up a little?
Aw thanks :)
I am fine. Lots of commotion on the surface, but deep down I feel at peace.
No - a fun festival - Chanukah. This year it starts the same time as Xmas.
Light candles for 8 days - kids get presents. We've got a "carnival" thing happening in a park on Thursday week.
*sigh* not really. tomorrow going out for lunch with june tomorrow as she has something on thursday. so thursday has to be the day i finish the niece's and nephew's shopping.
oh how nice! We can share festive vibes :)
rose, my friend... try and steal every moment you can then... don't have to tell you that overdoing stuff isn't good for you. More pain and less energy means feeling down(er) too.
oh the 'carnival' one year we will have to be there. i would so love to share that with you.
dr john is so understanding. he has given me new hope.
It's really not that amazing! A few stalls, including the BBQ, that we look after. And that's it. Animal petting for the kids etc!
liz, just to be there would give me so much delight.
And the heat and humidity?????
Wouldn't have thought you'd want to be up here at this time of year!
yeah i know. and i am praying that the weather is kind to you this year.
As long as it doesn't storm it'll be fine.
Time for me to go - dinner almost ready and laptop needs recharging - down to 5%! So hugs to you both and look after yourselves!
brb. need to get med ready.
enjoy, Liz! *HUGS to you both*
Thanks, again, Sprite.
np! The other series are uploading now. One by Ann Charles, the other two by Denise Grover Swank
Hello thre Sprite and Rose, I'm about ready to hop into bed - 60 to go, maybe find a few more first
{{hugs}} liz. enjoy your evening. xoxox
and Hi Liz
is your head better today, flosey?
{{hugs}} flosey
yes, completely, thanks Sprite
am so glad
ty
but, actually, I think I'd better leave these last 60 for tomorrow - 1:18 a.m. time to hit the sack!
well past time, in fact
too true, lol. Sleep well, flosey
sweet dr5s dear flosey
love you and leave you, good night
so close to tr5port
close to the 9 sprite
so it is. Thanks darling

oh I have a new project going, lol. As if I wasn't busy enough. Am making painted pebbles for my sister, for her practice in children coaching.
I hope she will like it.
lovely sprite. i sure hope she appreciates them.
lolll... snap ??
lolll... snap ??
*giggles*
she loved the one I brought for her. Am making a series with positive words, thinking that maybe she can give children one to carry with them.
good idea
:) etna
lolllll sorry! I should look before posting
was up very early this morning, and managed to prepare 30 pebbles for her. Will go back to them later today, touch up the colours and writing the words. Then drying again, and then varnish.
dinner nearly ready so time for me to go. love you dearest. xoxox and {{hugs}}.
love you right back, rose, my friend. *hugs* and take care.
fireflies. Bye all.
Hello everyone. This grid is not as easy as I first thought.
How on earth am I going to find 46 A's!
I haven't yet found anything bigger than a six and I'm just over halfway. I'm not anticipating finishing today's grid
Hello, Matty. I have just this second found LA 8 A PT word.
It means to mourn.
I shall have a look :)
And a find! Hurrah, thank you!
Most welcome. that should give you the 6,8 & 7.
So it did. Woop.
No nine here yet but I am only on the L with 117 words found so far lol
How's Zooz today anyway? We actually have some sunshine here - I shall wrap a couple of more presents (I did a load of wrapping yesterday), walk to the post office, post a couple of cards and maybe have a sneaky pint in the pub near the post office.
Hmm, is it sneaky if you post on the internet about your intent? : D
Hah! Good point. How about a cheeky pint instead?
Sounds like a nice day for you, Matty :-) I will plod along with the grid for a while. i have done the wrapping of presents and cards are written and posted. I have a cold festering in the background so not going to be a good few days :-(
Hello, Molly :-)
Ah no - so many people have Christmas colds.
I am normally good. I do not get too many colds per say. My sister's children were round my parents house recently and one had a stinking cold sneezing and spluttering everywhere. So no prizes on guessing who gave it to me lol
The queen. The queen gave it to you. She's nice that way.
LOL
I am still rahter upbeat though so that is good :-)
Rather*
Hurrah :) No manflu for you :)
I hope you will have a wonderful Christmas :-)
No not yet, Matty hoping it does not mature into one. As I am the first to admit I am not good at having colds lol
I shall keep my fingers crossed
Oh and no sunshine here just a ruddy great big black cloud ready to dump some rain.
Do you like lager or stout, Matty?
Oh gosh - and it's not like we're a million miles from each other
I'm a bitter gal - the hoppier the better
I love worthington's ale!
Real ale (though will drink craft lager as well and I like it)
Twickenham Naked Ladies is a nice pint. There are a whole load of good, hoppy beers out there.
Though if you like Stout, this year's Champion Beer of Britain (Bingham's Vanilla Stout) is lovely, and I know the owners
Vanilla? I am not sure.
It works. It's only a hint
*Makes a hot whiskey, honey and lemon for Zoom
Mmmm....hot Toddy
Don't forget the cloves
I don't call them Toddies and never cloves.
Aww thank you, Molly. I do not want to appear rude but I hate whiskey. But will drink the honey & lemon :-)
I can't resist calling them Toddies (as Todd is my maiden name)
*Drinks whisky for Zoom
Oh Cloves to make it chrismassy, Matty lol
I stick cloves in an orange to make it Christmasy.
Christmassy*
That's common here, too
Yes my mother hangs one on her Christmas tree, Molly. My father hates it as he is not happy about the smell lol
I have six EY words. Are there more?
I only have 2, so I couldn't tell you :)
okie dokie.
Are any of your EYs more than four letters?
One is.. a plural EY 5/14
OK now I have six.
Thanks!
There are only six EYs. I now have all the Es from that column.
Well, from that row and column - I only have one E from the top left corner
Ah thank you.
Yes same here LOL
ep4/5 es5/14
... but not the other three
other four
Hello everybody! It's a good day for a big grid!!
Hi all
I have the EP 4/5 not the ES 5/14. Thanks, Doseffing.
Hello, Ruby :-)
Hello Liz
Hello, Liz :-)
((zzoozz))
Ah now have the ES 5/14 thanks!
As, indeed, do I now. Hi all!
Thanks for the es 5/14
Now rainig here, Matty.
Raining*
Argh. Still bright and sunny here
I haven't even completed my first pass. Too many interruptions
So sorry about my typing today.
The pale sun is trying to emerge
I hope they are good interruptions, Ruby.
Having looked at the chat archive, I see there's a tr9. Can anyone tell me if it begins with the tr5 prefix?
Everything is OK here, on the bike 20 of the last 21 days and have increased the time from 2 minutes to 7!
Yes it does
That's great, Ruby. Well done.
NIce going, Ruby. Well done!
Is it the tr5/12?
No, tr 5/10
I can feel a difference in my legs and energy
I was guessing the tr5.10
... 6 months and three days until the tour ruby .... gotta keep at it
Sadly, don't have that yet!
... to switch places
It's a prefix meaning 'across' (or, sometimes, sort of opposite)
Hah - found it. Thanks.
WTG!
And it should help you keep fit and stay warm, Ruby :-)
... ah well ... time, tide and the bus wait for no man ... must be off to bring the joys of trigonometry to a bunch of young darlings ... ... sunny skies and warmer temperatures and luck for all ... 'til later
Can anyone clue the el 8 pls?
Got the 9 - thanks all. Heading out but back shortly
Have a good day, Dos
Have a great day, Doseffing :-)
Bye for now, Alleyn :-)
You too, Alleyn
so there is an EL 8..
el 8/40 - from the 4th column e.
That was obvious - sorry!
Teehee!
I haven't found it yet :(
nm - I'll keep on looking or might see it tomorrow morning when I'm more awake.
Aaand now I have.
Just found it, Liz is a little bit like a word for rubber bands.
Think what holds your underwear up, or how to make something into the material that holds your pants up
So I have the beginning - now for the end of it!
Ends in a word for putting flowers in beggining with a V
Think of that thing the police use to temporarily electrify you
Thanks :)
My typos are getting worse lol
Was trying with the wrong vowel.
I thougt of a nice ending..Matty was thinking of pain lol
Thought*
Both worked :)
Just got the TR 9! Thanks for clues.
WTG
How people can do these grids super fast is beyond me! They are amazing!
I still have lads of words to find and I have been at it for a couple of hours now lol
I completely agree!
I listed at 100 - now have 57 to go.
100 left that is ;)
Was going to say!
How is your Summer going, Liz?
Going well - not too many humid days. It's not my favourite season because up here it's storm season! Haven't had many of those yet either! It's humid this evening though.
How about your winter? I don't think I could ever move back to somewhere where winters were cold!!!
I hope you do not get too many storms. They are saying there will be a storm here for Christmas day.
I do not handle cold weather very well being a stick insect in size lol. It is around 6.4c and raining here.
On 8 December the news said that there had been 1 million lightning strikes in the first 8 days of December in SE Queensland!
Wow! that is a LOT!
An amazing statistic, which is why I remembered.
That is a horrifying statistic!
If only they could of harnessed the power that the lightening produced. Could of kept Queensland going for a few months I bet lol
I think only one death from the lightning, which is one too many but it could've been many more.
I think you're right.
oat y
Lightening*
I alays try that one, Annie :-)
good morning/afternoon/evening
Hi Annie

and i think i want to try dresslily, anyone know about them?
Hey Sue and Annie!
Hi Scrabbs, How are the boys? I think of them very often.
They are doing well ans have had 2 weekend visits with their mother. The next Family Court appearance is Jan 4th and she will most likely regain full custody. That is when her real test begins--working AND taking care of her boys while they attend preschool.
That will be a big hurdle for her. Will she have help for a week or two to get her started again?
phone, bbs
There will be a daily visitor from Children's Social Services for many weeks, to check on her and the boys. I don't know that the person will help as much as supervise and guide her with what she needs to do--finances, buying food, keeping the home safe, etc. She is not a planner and needs to learn to plan and organize.
Guidance is what is needed now. I pray the family will be toghether in the future.
I will be back later.
She needs explicit instructions on what to do--register Jaxson for the school district, sign up for Medicaid and food stamps, prepare the boys' lunch bags the night before, get up extra early to get yourself and the boys ready...
When is this supposed to happen Scrabs?
i'm back. Hi Scabs
After the next court appearance--so either Jan 4th or within days after that.
Sometimes you can counsel someone to do the right thing, it's another to hope they will follow through.
yep and amen bichon
She is naive and ditzy, I am sad to say, and emotionally she is a teenager despite being 25 and having lost her kids for 6 mo. She needs to buck up and do the right thing lest she lose her boys again, or possibly forever.
But do consequences mean anything to her?
It's really difficult to take kids away forever.
Her typical comment is "I can't catch a break." She said this after her DUI, after she lost the kids, after a car accident (her fault) in October, and after every stupid mistake she makes. She has not fully accepted responsibility for her mistakes.
horrible that the kids have to pay
Yes. I have to go see a patient.

Hi Molly, did you notice that I don't have a Bichon for a picture anymore
hi car
Yes Bich, but your icon is HUGE
i noticed that bichon why don't you have the dog as your icon anymore?
I don't know how to resize it. Any hints?
Now I have a polar bear
open it up in the default picture viewer on your comp, and there should be a resize image option in one of the drop down menus
then re-upload
how do I open up the default picture viewer?
just open the picture. whatever program it opens in is the default viewer
you need to have the image downloaded on to your comp, not just in your babble profile
Open your image in PAINT and use the resize feature there. Then save the resized image and upload it to your Babble profile.
You can download the image to your computer by opening it here, right clicking it and clicking SAVE IMAGE AS

Good Evening Everyone. I just started 1/2 hr ago so I'm sorry I can't help yet nan; but I'm looking for it now.
not sure if it starts with a male or most of the red planet, but suspect the former
no - the red planet - got it
Good for you, nan!
Thanks, nan; I got it too! :-)
me three :)
WTG, moolinwa!
hastry, when you make pies really quickly :)
:-) I wish it was a word!
mantry: a food store for men :)
santas
santas is in the grid but dict says no.
i love mantry: it has the pretzels, chips, and beer.
change last vowel
and nothing else.
can't have mantoes either
actually i changed my mind: the mantry is a beer fridge period. when i bought my house there was a special fridge that was for a keg of beer and had a faucet etc on top. we sold it or gave it away. we dont order beer by the keg. so that was a real mantry!!!!!!
ooh, very nice
that second s is bothersome
39 to go
eyetops, another name for eyelids
why is second s bothersome? many words with sa and sh and sn.......
well I have 18 of 23
eyetoes: toes that can see...........cute??????
ok so you aer doing good but that is the first s. the s in second column right?
haven't found any sn on the second s
26 of 27 on the first s
18 of 23 on the second
oh ok. got it.
you are right. sorry.
no worries
some sp on the second one
well one anyway :)
LOL! I have 5of 27 on the first one & 4 of 23 on the second one. Don't tell me it's harder to find the words the closer you are to finishing? ;-)
yup.
nevermind, found 2 more made up sh words :)
I don't understand why it's get harder the more I find ;)
dyee: one who is dyed
Gee; *I* don't get that either! ;-) I just keep trying words I've already entered as I get closer to finishing every grid!
oh, I would never do anything like that ;)
actually it helps that I do
because words I thought I had already found magically get found :)
are you like me & are very port typing?
actually no
sometimes I do lag though, especially when I've found a whole bunch of words
so I think it takes them, and I find out later it didn't
Dang!
I just lost my last dozen entries
see, I'm catchy
How did that happen, nan?
no idea - there was a blink and they were gone
N complete
ok - shut down and reloaded and they are back
Gees, give us some of them & we'll *help* you enter them! (just teasing, really)
eyetrash - an eyelash that falls off and gets in your eye
po 8 please?
don't have it
nm - compound broken ceramics
lame
th
x
dryass - a thirsty donkey
dryass would be a donkey in the twelve step program
tr 9 please?
tr9 to switch around something
of course - ty
yw
12 to go and no ideas
dy 6-7 please?
if there were a Y on the end nan it would be like a kingdom
or dy+being mean na5
ty ursh
giving up
I am aw6 of this grid.
