Yeah, we refinanced to a 15 year mortgage a few years ago. Only pay about 2.7% interest on that. However, the school taxes keep going up, so our escrow payment is now almost more than our mortgage payment. Oy. Never had kids, so we never saw any benefit from that tax investment.
And public schools here in Delaware still SUCK.
Sure you did ... it keeps them off the streets so that they don't spend their days smashing your windows and in theory it helps to prepare them for jobs in the future so they can be employed, earn money, pay taxes and support your pension ... ... at least that's the theory

No conundrum at all Molly. On Facebook I have the the facility to block the snarky keyboard warriors. One click, and I never have to see the snide, sarcastic, downright nasty comments. Just like that. One click- and they are obliterated from my awareness.
Perfect. Peaceful. And yet, from my limited experience with Facebook, there are a lot of crappy comments on all kinds of feeds. Glad you have a one click, serenity feed.
Of course - the sad feeble people who create false profiles, simply to snoop on my profile page, are more difficult to manage. But it's pity I feel for those types of people, really. My wish for these people is that they eventually get a life. :-)

Yes, we helped them move in summer of 2015 and have made several trips back. Try to spend 3 wks at least in July. Last July we went long enough to do the Burlington Brewers Fest AND the Stowe Brewers Fest. I have been back on my school spring break in april last year (plannng upcoming trip) and two trips in November for my birthday
I'm loving the area as well but just could never bring myself to move back there!

I couldn't live there, too much winter. But enjoyed skiing at Stowe, and enjoyed hiking in the summer there.
I can HIGHLY recommend a trip to Sugarbush farm, down near Woodstock. Heck, I can recommend Woodstock! lovely lovely town

We'll be making tons of trips! granddaughter is only 13; spent most of my time as the babysitter over the years as they lived only 20 minutes away. It was very difficult to have them move so far but I'm loving the opportunity to see new country.

Yep, facebook and phone calls as well!! Our trip this summer (july) will include both fests again and we will be bringing our other daughter and 2 granddaughter for their first visit. Vermont Teddy Bear and Lake Champlain Chocolates are number one destinations with Ben and Jerrys on the list!!
