I think it is a brook isn't it?
nope it is a wall of some sort
not really a fence - more of a ditch or 2 layers of land so that your cows etc can't wander into your garden
layers - try levels

i have finished. such a lovely grid. lots of yummy words.
WORZEL!~! Naughty boy. come here and give your mum some sugar.
Hi and hugs, Rose.
whoot, hi and {{hugs}} lizgirl. had the injection into my right hip today. the doctor is still breathing AND walking.
And how about you?
and you and your beloved... all is good?
All's wonderful here. So much to look forward to this year.
ugh.... pain is still 8 out of 10 2 hours post. he did use a different steroid this time. so... fingers crossed..
Did he tell you how long before it becomes effective?
i had Don circle the exact area of pain before i went. all staff were highly amused...but doc was delighted to have the exact area described.
Clever :)
server ack
Hi hurshy
and my pain chart indicates different time lines.
hurshy... xoxox
anyone else having troubles? some of my words go in and some just disappear
anyone else having troubles? some of my words go in and some just disappear
ditto here hurshy
I'll probably find that when I list. Difficult to keep track on a large grid.
anyone else having trouble, red boxes?
ahaha there come our posts
Not me.
it is Very Irksome
Sure is.
if you fall off the wagon, would you call that retox?
I'd call it painful ;)
no, painful is this SERVER TROUBLE
It's OK here - hope it sorts itself for you soon.
no probs here...
Just started but no server problems here yet.
g'day zooz
are you still here?
Hello ((Rose))
YEs still here enjoying the grid!
oohhhh.... loverly.... my fave male babbler is here. xoxox
I was trying to get a word that I thought went something like 'spaheti or spahetti'
How are you doing?
don and i are planning our european holiday....which makes our north american and canadian holiday soooo much closer.
Sounds like you will be having lots of fun!
had injection into right hip today.... doctor can still breath and walk...as can i... lol
Plannig is the key! But I can imagine it takes a lot of work to do.
LOL I bet you gave him a stern look though :-) Hope it will ease the pain for you!
You must be due your infusion within this week?
we have so much to see and do. and how do we do it...with my hip and knee being such so-and-so's?
yup zooz... infusion in 5 days...
Yeah that is what I meant by planning as in mobility issues. wheelchair access when needed, buses etc.
I bet you can nnot wait for the infusion, Rose!
if hip injection, lower back injections, and infusion all work...we are looking at a very different rose.
Not seen Sprite here for a while. Must be busy.
Rose the new spring chicken!
All I need is a new lower back so might as well go for a whole new spine. New brain as this one was faulty from birth as it only works when it feels lie it. muscles as these ones seem to ache a lot and make them bigger too lol. The list could goon for some time but they are just a few on it.
*giggle* so long as i am not mutton dressed as lamb...
((rose)) never!
{{hugs}} dear zooz.
I do jest but I know there are many people who do have real problems with their bodies so I am not making light of those people.
i don't see sprite. if you do..please give her my heart-felt hugs and kisses. i really must go to bed. {{zooz}} lots of xoxox's from me to you.
Very nice to see you ((Rose)) if I see, Sprite I will pass on the message. Sweet sleep and hope the hip injection works soon for you :)
I think it must be 'Spahi' I was thinking of.
oh dear my eyesight LOL as I logged in sawzoo at bottom of page...all I need is a new lover.....
Hello, Kaia :-)
Silly baable freeze.
Babble*
hello Zoo, bit slow this morning I think
What me? you? or babble? Or maybe all three lol!
all three lol
Teehee!
maybe not you
Raining here( what a surprise) so a perfect day to do babble!
Oh me should be included without a doubt, Kallia!
oh here too, and horrible dark grey
well its a biggie to keep us occupied
Yep there is mist on the hills too.
Plus I have plenty of tea, chocolates etc I am sorted :-)
I dont eat choclate any more.....donttemptme!
My sister is doing parents meals today so I have the day to myself!
you know that saying.? Ican resist anything but temptation.....
Hate having to trudge through the rain to get to their home.
oh thats good, you can laze around, drink tea andchat on babble
that'snot nice,arriving wet
how far is it?
I know.i do not mind getting soaked on the way home as it is easy to just change but to arrive somewhere soaked through. Not nice. Umbrellas are pretty much useless on the sea coast as there is always lots of wind.
Oh it is not that far, Kallia, Probably about a quarter of a mile up the road.
Farenough to get pretty wet though
Always a nice view though as I walk along the cliff tops to their house! And back again of course lol
I remember walking along the sea front from Pontinsholiday camp to Ryde, years ago we went several years when the kids were small
I guess I mean coast
Hello! ((zzoozz)) and ((kalia)) and any lurkers
It is sunny here but brutally cold
hello Rubyx
this AM-9C
that is cold. Not so cold here just murky,,grey and rain
THe island looks tired and a bit run down now in my opinoin. You can see the difference when you go to the main land. But still has plenty of beautiful views. But the towns are looking a bit shabby.
Hello ((Ruby))
Friday's snow looks here to stay for the duration.
Oh that is cold, Ruby. Hope you got that fire going?
yes they are, dont think you get somany visitors these days
and the wood guy is snowed in!!
wrapped in a cosy blanket Ruby?
does that mean you are out of wood?
3 sweaters, 2 blankets, crackling fire, but this house is one big draft!
I have enough for a few more days
Well there does seem to be plenty during the Summer months as the roads are choka block with cars.
aah, I think lunch is arriving....
Hope it is edible, Ruby!
I dont have central heating....Rayburn in the kitchen, wood burner in the living room, but dont usually light the wood burner during the day
This house i live in is a terrible place for keeping the heat in.
wouldnt take that many to make your roads choka block ;)
When I lived with my parents on the mainland we used to have one of the old victorian ovens the black ones. Now that used to be amazing at throwing out the heat!
I liveon the edgeof a field, although they have built an estate which finishes almost on the corner of mygarden at the front
LOL no I suppose not, Kallia!
going to get washing out of machine and hang on drier
laters zooz
Okay, Kallia. If I do not see you later hope you have a nice day ((Kallia))
Yay down to 94 words to find!
Good morning
Hello, Sukee :-)
Hi all :)
Hello, Liz :-)
Hi zoo.
Trying to put a dent in the 110 words I've got left.
You can do it, Liz!
92 left for me.
I need a bigger dent - still to find 130. Evening all
Just decided to list, so that will help. Missing loads of 7s and 8s!
Hello, Lynxxx :-)
Hi Lyn
I know what you mean, Liz I only have 3/14 8s and no 9 yet.
That bottom U is being a bugger lol
I found the 9 really quickly - more by luck than anything else. I have 5/14 8s and 14/36 7s.
I have 16/36 7s so far.
What does the 9 begin with ..... also only have 4 x 8
up 9/66
Does it come from the UP 8/50?
One of them :)
Really? A French castle is accepted???
Damn got it. Now I feel stupid for not trying it earlier. Thank you, Liz!
yvw
Hey handg on what do you mean one of them..you mean there is more than one up8!
Yes
Oh great :-(
lol
3 actually
back from inedible lunch Hello Liz
Hi Ruby - how are you? Hope you're keeping warm.
QAnd since I don't live in a ch8, I've made hot whiskey to warm up these old bones
Sounds yummy.
Oh dear what was it, Ruby. An not cheese for dessert again?
I prefer cheese to clémentines! Mystery meat with cousous in a nasty sauce on the side
THX - found the 9
WTG
I worked in a CH 7/40 when I worked in France many years ago now.
However, the sweet hot whiskey is delish!
Have to say that doesn't sound too nice but the whisky makes up for it!
I bet it is warming you up, Ruby!
What work did you do in the ch7?
I wss working in the kitchens, Liz.
How is ox 7 one word??? Talking of working in the kitchen!
Okay do not have that word.
OK - just checked the meaning.
That would be my last O
Gave you a pretty big clue though.
v. nice clue - TY
It was my last o too.
nice clue liz!
but no idea for the 9
hello Lynxx!
Unintentional though! disbelieve on my part.
lol
Disbelief, that should've been.
Hello Ruby - sounds like you need a trip to Australia to warm your bones
close enuf
Plenty of heat here right now.
I think so
aaaah, the idea of a warmbeach.....
Sorry forgot to say thank you for the OX7, LIz!
yw
And the ocean was 24 C today.
sounds like heaven!
The best of it is Australia has a warmer Winter than our Summers LOL
clue for the lower h and for the 9, pls
Well we certainly have pretty nice winters here, though the nights do get into single figures (celsius) sometimes.
Plural laughter, Ruby.
lower h is plural laughter.
Snap, zooz.
:-)
ty both
th** is an architectural trench, I think, besides a laugh
up 9 - people coming from further north than New York, for example.
UP + different parts of the USA say then add a bit on.
Yes it is, but easier to clue as laughter.
Ty zoo and Liz
yw
ty for those, now nbt and nbs and ONLY 141 to go lol
I had missed the middle part of that word completely :)
hello Sukee
WTG, Ruby
Hi Ruby
Love the icon, sukee
Combines two of my favorites, Dr. Who and Van Gogh :)
Two of the best :)
When I was a child I used to be scared of the opening theme tune. Let alone the daleks!
The VG episode is one of my favorites.
lol, yes, that scare big face
I also really like that episode.
Good morning, everyone!
Hello, JBsAnno :-)
Mine too JB, and written by another favorite, Richard Curtis :)
hello JBs
Watched the Tom Baker Dr. Who in my teens with my Dad. I think of him during when I hear the theme music.
Well, I have to go get ready to go out. Have a great day all.
Have a good day, Sukee.
I watched from the beginning, when I was really young. The whole family watched on a Saturday evening.
Toode pips, Sukee :-)
ruby, zooz, sukee, liz, so nice to see you all!
And bye, sukee!
I've never seen Dr Who -- don'tt know if they show it in France, even on Sat
bye Sukee
I always remember Jon Pertwee as the first doctor when I started watching it when a nipper.
Loved K9
Oh yes K9 LOL
Ah, ruby, if you like time travel, British humor, and twisty plot lines, you would like it.
Affirmative doctor!
I Wonder if it's on Netflix
:)
There are two distinct eras, the originals from the 60's/70's, and the reboot from the 2000's something.
the question is which DrWho should Ruby watch
Tom Baker were the last ones I saw not seen it since.
If it's there, I may not have a choice
David Tennant is my favourite. But I enjoyed the way the Amy stories came round in a circle.
Looking forward to the new season - whenever it begins.
My suggestion is to start with the reboot, if possible. Arrgh, who was the first Doctor with Rose Tyler? he was only for the first (reboot) season.
I did see a few with David Tennant as the doctor. they were not bad.
Christopher Eccleston (I'm quite the Who fan)
The actor, I mean.
Probably the most sensible thing to do.
Hello, Matty :-)
Christopher Eccleston for me...though Matt Smith grew on me
I think there's quite a group of Who fans playing babble.
Yes he grew on me - in fact they all have.
Thanks, matty. Though I have all of knowledge and access in Google, I knew someone would have the answer right off their head!
Each is different but each is The Doctor.
Hi, lynnxxx, matty!
Capaldi too? I thought he would be terrific but....
Hello all!
Yes, I've grown to like him - it took time though.
Capaldi is great. It's Stephen Moffat who has lost the plot. Anyone seen last night's Sherlock?!
What was it with Tom Baker and his very long scarf that used to make me smile.
No I missed it, Matty.
I loved the Capaldi single hander - the penultimate of the last season.
Sorry Matty - don't watch Sherlock.
It certainly strains the suspension of disbelief to breaking point
I was SO mad that Chris E's Doctor regenerated after the first season, that I almost stopped watching. Glad I continued, though. It's a great mind bender.
Will probably use catch-up to well catch up.
If I try captains once more.I will not be happy lol
Oh yeah, I hear you Zooz
I do like Stephen Moffat's writing (and YES, Sherlock!), and am often reminded of how Terry Pratchett could make you laugh one moment and te4/5 the next.
Moffat's writing was better before he was show runner - it's as if he's let it all go to his head. The early seasons of Sherlock and the eps he wrote of Who before he became showrunner are far better than his latterly efforts
Zooz, I almost made one of those Tom Baker scarves, but didn't have enough yarn in all those colors!
Terry Pratchett's books are excellent!
LOL JBsAnno! That would of been awesome!
I love Pratchett. I had a curry with him once. Sitting next to him and everything
I have a picture in my house framed with me and him
Cool!
Oh, matty, how lovely. What a great memory to have!
Shame he is no longer with us.
And talking of cool, I'm heading to the a/c in the bedroom. Thanks for the company and enjoy your days.
night Liz
bye liz
https://goo.gl/85U741 - evidence!
A lady from Germany told us (me and hubby) about Pratchett. Didn't realize how famous he was!
HAGD/N, Liz!
Take care, Liz. Sweet sleep.
Rufie is lying in front of the fire and actively dreaming, so cute!
Bless :-)
matty, I tried the link, but my iPad (on chrome) says it's no good. Silly iPad.
You did go up to the last number only, JB ?
yes, zooz, thanks for the help. I typed out the full URL in a new tab, so I checked it a few times for accuracy.
time for break
bye
bye, ruby!
I
Take care, Ruby and stay warm!
I"m heading out now, too, back later for more. Off today for MLK observance in US, this is my fifth Monday off in a row!
Hope your day goes smoothly for you, JBsAnno!
So CA 6/27 is the American way of say A tomato sauce in a bottle we say with a 'K' Never knew that!
'Round these parts, we use a K word for that stuff.
Ah must be in certain parts then like a local dialect maybe.
Well down to 66 words to find. Time for me to grab a bite to eat. Happy babbling everyone!
does anyone have the re8 by chance?
nevermind

We're under a tornado warning this a.m., so I'm being bombarded by warnings every 10 mins or so. It's driving me nuts!
Hard to concentrate.
be safe, champ
Indeed. So today we've had a mattress delivered, our heating break down and discovered a leak somewhere from teh water tank. Joys
I woke up to the house alarm alerting me of the situation, and it's been nonstop since then. They just keep extending the timeframe of the warning. Seems ok here at my house though.
74 left - I feel a list beckoning
stats for the 9 pls
Although a rainy holiday is a perfect day for a big grid. Got that going for me!

didn't realize that was all one word.

pl the holiday

I have on that's a plural
oops sorry
thanks phaeton, got it
yw
I'm missing two Us (one from the top and one from near the bottom) and they're driving me nuts. I hate vowel words. I have a bunch of long ones from there - I fear I am missing something either ridiculously esoteric or maddeningly simple.
I'm missing way more than that, so probably can't help.
I shall list soon :)
i have un4 & 5 if that helps
I do too :)
do u have the un 5/14 matty
I have un 5 and 6! And some ups
And some uts...
ut5 &6
can you clue the un5 & 6?
I do, Ivesy. I have three UTs
One US
The rest UPs and UNs
un + a safety ***
Sue, if it's the one I think it is, it's to remove a small, sharp object from something (like a dress ready for sewing)
that was it, ty both
up 7---up and opposite of finish
Gotem. I think I have all the long Us...(though I'm not 100% sure)
Got the 9!
Don't worry - I'll list and see what comes up
gj champ
does anyone have both nu 6/7 combos?
OK, the UP I was missing was a small (but unfamiliar) word...
fan, think squirrels
that's the one I have
Think I just got it matty...thx!
And the un I was missing was a real word I should have seen (UN6/27). Bugger.
But that does mean I've now killed all the vowels
It's the little things! ;)
did anyone watch the Packer's/ Cowboy's game last night?
or yesterday I should say
I watched the end of the game, very exciting
I did, that was such an awesome game, Have been a Packer fan for years and years,,love that Aaron.
it was a good game I am so excited for Ezekiel and the qb on the cowboys team but the Packers cheated and the game was given to them.
I did. What a game. Rodgers is hotter than a pancake gridle...
sorry for my comment nancy
pancake gridle?
just how did they cheat?
Bad calls on both sides ... don't think it affected the outcome
the calls that were made and not made and the time left on the clock so that the Packers could get that last score and win
I think in some ways it did bojazz
sounds like you are just expressing sour grapes because the cowboys did not win.
yes I am disappointed they didn't win that is true but both teams could have played better
Wanted the Cowboys to win ... can't recall where the calls made that much difference. Rodgers was the difference
but close score does make for great games anyway
bojazz were you impressed by the qb of the Cowboys?
thank you bojazz for that comment. Indeed, when Rodgers is directing the team, it does make the difference.
Love Prescott - hope he has a long career. Think he is an exceptional young man. Want him to do well...
bojazz me too! Romo who?
Rodgers, being the class act he is, praised Prescott a lot in a press conference after the game.
lol
that's true
lol not directed at your comment just now Nancy
Rodgers is a class act. And when he's on a roll, watch out everybody... The throw he made to 89 was classic; the catch was awesome...
I was happy the Steeler's won though:)
how tippy toes ever got that catch in bounds is amazing.
Like the Steelers too.
i wish they would make it in the super bowl this time
Cook. His name is Cook. Mind went blank. He played at South Carolina - my school! lol
and another close game too nancy:)
and you didn't know his name bojazz.. shame on you lol
He was a huge add fo9r GB this year...
i do know who yo are talking about though
and will continue to be since the pack still has a bunch of injured players.
The Super Bowl is here this year. I'm one of 10,000 volunteers, and will be stationed at our main airport. No clue yet what my role is. Picking up swag tomorrow though...very exciting!
that sounds so cool Champ! I hope you enjoy it all!
Lucky you champ, I would love to go to a super bowl.
It'll be fun, for sure.
for me it would depend on who is in it and who is performing during the half time show
Champ are you a Lady Gaga fan?
Oh, I'm not in the stadium. We're all over the place...airport, hotels, the convention center...there will people all over the place helping visitors.
true, but the excitement of seeing such good football would be great.
She's ok. Wouldn't say I'm a big fan.
still pretty cool though.. no free pass to watch the game somewhere ?
Champ me either
I'm working leading up to the game. Am scheduled 3 or 4 days that week. So on game day, I can watch from home. It's my middle kid's bday anyway, so that worked out well. She's turning 22.
oohh champ that is awesome! Yes, a bit quieter at home to watch the Super Bowl and no traffic
Will report back when I pick up my gear tomorrow. Getting a shirt, jacket, water bottle, backpack...all kinds of stuff.
freebies are good:)
Gotta run for now...bbl. Good luck all!
bye champ
Does anyone have the first nu6/7 combo? I have the squirrel one ...
matty that one actually means a crazy person and that is also the one i have and need the other one
Found it! Think to change (like X-men) but with an N in front instead of M
Or NU + the art museums in London - one called the **** Britain and the other the **** modern. Or the last names of Catherine (Doctor Who companion actress) or Sharon (Manson Family victim)
ty matty great clue
i am in love with that clue
x men worked for me
Thank you (takes bow) :)
matty :)
hi hurshy
I have the word and i am confused
How so?
I have to bone up on british museums
it's funny, the only bit of russian history i really learned about was the end of the monarchy, so when i think of ts4 i think of the last one, and the awful way it ended... but now i'm reading a book on the whole romanov dynasty and it's like oh wow, right, there were ts4s before that, who were more "successful"
Ah - the modern one is on the South Bank of the Thames (in London)
The Britain is in Westminster
ch8/50.....clue please
The most pure, especially when thinking of sex (or not, as the case may be)
nvm
Like me aeb
try matty ....i got it just before you clued it.
ruru.....are you really?
Well lately i have been😀
ch6 isn't the same as just not gettin' any :)
Does anyone have the first sp 7/36 (not the one that sort of ends in a walkway)?
Lol. I got confused
ENDS in a walkway? i have one with a walkway in the middle...
Abadons the white robes
OK, a walkway with a vowel at the end :)
ok then no i don't have that
the one before it i mean
OK, first three letters, an argument (usually a minor one), last three, the computer who said "I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that"
First four letters, that should have been
ty
good clue matty
tyvm matty, great clue
Thank you :)
bbl, 75 to go
whoa totally just got a up7/8 combo that i didn't expect it to take
does the ch 8 go with a ch 6/7?
huh, I just got the 9 by doing the same thing, hursh
it goes with a 6, if there is a 7 with them i haven't thought of it yet
oh what is the 9 mael? is it a up also?
hurshy i have ch 6/24 ch 7/36 combo
yup! up7,8,9,8
There are a couple of ch8s. One is a plural of a French castle, the other is the plural of a section of a book
As well as the folk who eschew sex
an anglicized plural of a french castle, that is... the real pl has an x
ohh ty matty i see the ch 8 of a book
oops the c8 i was talking about going with a 6 is a ca, not a ch
hurshy i only have a ca 6/7
The Ca normally has a de- in front and with the de- in front, it's always fatal (except once for a chicken which lived something like 17 days after)
think northern NY dweller for the up9
one per person, one per head = per ca6
thanks mael
the chicken clue is hilarious, thanks
i like JUST realized the etymological connection to plain old cap.
i have the ca 6/7 that are wheels
OMG!
:D
what about the ca6 ad 7 Spanish houses
and 4 and 5
ruby Spanish houses are hacienda's aren't they?
little houses mlf
haciendas are big houses
okay i got the ca 4/5
4 and 5 that is
got to get to work.. thanks for the clues matty
bye ruru
Have a great day!
Anyone have the ti6/7 combo, please?
They're my last two words...
NM, got them. Fireworks. Have a great day all
single H in 4th row
plural laugh sound
thnx
yw teach
bbl for last 92 - happy babblings all - poof
hi wv
good morning - been reading the chat and am a little confused.... is there a ca 6-8 combo that means little spanish houses? is there a ca 6-8 combo?
have 2 sets of spanish houses a ca 5-6 and a ca 6-7
oh - just realized that conversation was over an hour ago - probably nobody here now!
the ca 6,8 "combo" I have means per person, usually used with a percentage, think crime rate? then think of the Queen of Hearts favorite phrase the remove the 'de' from the beginning of the word that she implies.
ty amelu - have that one then
also a ch 7/8 for houses.
amelu, could you pls expand on that clue?
yes - have the french mansions/castles
ty nan and amelou
the st6 of the union are certainly busy today
hi bich
hi nan
apparently oxen don't have headgear nor enmity and oxidate isn't there so....a clue please?
ox + what pumps blood thru your body
ty une
yw :-)
it's only taken 8 years, but I'm learning with this grid that if the actual word doesn't work try anything close to it!
:-)
LOL, Nan, right?
and if that doesn't work, try dropping the common prefix
su 7 please?
I don't get the ca word clue
which ca word?
the combo
there are 3 ca combos
what part of the body une?
amel's clue
I have the ca 6/7 that are wheels
the one that usually starts with de? - think of another word for chop the head off
ohhhh got it
well.. don't lose your head over it mlf
nan, su 7 is what warms the earth plus second part of what you wear to the beach
that word should have a one who does and pl
or not er
su 7 please?
ty nancy
cyber it was just clued
ty nancy and mlf - missed the clue in all the chat
lol sorry
good morning, ru
ni5?
taking a breakfast break -- brunch I guess
bye cyber
ni 5 pl of 1st ni4

Ha!
ChampFit. I wanted to tell you something. If your tinkling dog is male, get a belly band [ffind on the internet[ and just put a pad in it
He's 55 lbs. Will that work on him? It's not a small amount of pee.
*sends shipment of towels to champs house*
Seriously. I go through zillions these days.
They make them in all sizes. Has velcro to keep it on and nice fabic patterens. Bichons [especially male] are very difficult to house break]
You will have to ease it on him til he gets used to it
Will look into it...thanks so much!
