My family has always been the most important part of life to me. I met my husband when I was a teenager and we've now been married since 1973. We've had six children, and currently have 14 grandchildren.

In 2014, we faced the hardest thing we have ever had to go through, when our youngest son died. I have lost other family (grandparents, cousins, uncles, and even my parents), but nothing compares to the loss of a child. He was only 26, and such a bright star in our lives. We are all still struggling to cope with the grief and the longing for him.

I am grateful for my family, and all the love we share. It keeps us going.
