my baby is trying to stand up now, hoe quick time flies
baby K isnt rolling yet + really hes barely holding his head up (he HATES tummy time) but when i hold him up, i can tell hes ready to stand...heh. i think he wants to skip all the details + get to the point!
sam's a lazy bum, he never wanted to stand even as a a baby. He's 10 months old and only now interested because it lets him gnaw on the side of the crib
how old was he when you put him in the crib? K is 4 months now + hes still sleeping in the rock-n-play. but hes in a crib at daycare, so we are getting ready to transition him at home. (mom and dad just arent ready to walk that far in the middle of the night!)

I definitely sleep better when they're not in my room, I wake for every sigh and sniffle otherwise
i was going to transition him last week (i was working from home due to the inauguration) but we both ended up down for the count with a cold.
and I recommend just... putting them in their crib and calling it a day, Kids adjust super fast. Colds excepted! Colds suck, poor baby
oh, my concern is less about HIS ability to transition. its more about OUR ability to get up in the middle of the night. lol
right now, i can just roll over if he needs me. i take care of him while im still half asleep. ;)

Good, that's a relief
i tried putting him in the pack-n-play when we first came home (its similarly sized to a crib, so i figured that would be an easy transition) but he HATED it in there. it was just too big + wide open. he preferred the cozier rock-n-play.
and when mama is exhausted from being up all night, you put the kid wherever he will sleep so you can sleep!

but now that hes at day care, he sleeps in a crib there (thats all they will allow) and he does just fine there. so its time to make the transition at home.
The all eventually end up in regular beds and out of diapers. How and when that happens is inconsequential.

of course, they asked me which was worse -- i told them id rather give birth again!
at least theres an ebb + flow to contractions. kidney stone pain is just CONSTANT.

I had surgery while I was pregnant. Had to have an ovarian cyst removed. The pain after that was wose than labor
and we were very lucky that both times i had to go to the ER, we had someone at the house to watch the baby so he didnt have to come with us

well, as it turns out, i had 2 stones -- one on each side. it was the left one that was moving + putting me in pain. after the first visit, they were able to manage my pain...we assumed it had passed (though i never caught it) but the second visit was for the same stone. as it turns out, it literally passed while i was at the hospital.
the stone on the other side has so far stayed put + not caused a problem -- yet.
is it just me or is this board unusually difficult?

Hence why I am constantly cold lol

Yet I could eat like a horse and not put any weight on because of my high metabolism.

Last week we tried to get into a different one with her & that one was overfull also (we couldn't get in at all.)
