Scrabs...you will appreciate this. Took a couple of days off this weekend up in Boston. Got a great hotel room....that literally overlooked the sign on the side of the Mass Eye and Ear where I had my surgery. I asked to change rooms, but they didn't have anything available that would fit the four of us on the other side of the building. I had nightmares all weekend!
My sister might need brain surgery again as radiation is not likely to be viable, so I fear making appts. But I want everything done before the summer.
Oh dear. I'm sorry her journey has been so difficult.
Oh, Car! But, you could have reframed it as a good omen. You received excellent care there and it is unlikely that you will have any problems again.
I'm more traumatized by how sick I was afterward than anything else.
Post-op recovery sucks.
I just felt so forgotten and no one could tell me what was going on.
Anyway...it will fade in time. It was just NOT what I wanted to see out my mini-cation window at all
But you were/are strong and resilient. Every time you look at Mass Eye & Ear Institute I want you to smile and feel blessed that you had your surgery there. You promise?

Someday it will be a part of your past.
Her name is Lisa. She has another MRI on Thursday and sees her neurosurgeon on Thursday. The team will later discuss whether gamma knife radiation can be done on the remaining tumor vs craniotomy.
Keep us posted. I will add her to both lists today.
