Well, yesterday was beautiful with sun and a high of 66. Today will be even better. But I shop for mom and take care of her for a bit, then get to spend time with my sweet little boys so I can be outside with them.

I can't avoid them, living in the woods, in deer central.... I try to be diligent, but usually get bitten at least once or twice a year. the worst.
I've only had two over the years but, fortunately, my late husband was still around to remove them
valentine lives in dread terror of them, as his son was very sick with Lyme back in the day. So I am typhoid Mary now, for at least a couple of days. lol

i was wondering because i've found the seresto collars work amazingly well on the dog and cats. and keeping them tick free keeps me tick free.
oh dear. my coworkers daughter has chronic Lyme. never saw the tick, never had a rash. it's heartbreaking to hear everything she is going through.
Eva, my niece had that problem. They kept throwing antibiotics at her making her just more and more sick. They took her to a doctor who practices hollistic medicine and she is remarkably improved.

nutty - very similar to my coworkers daughter. she is in her late 20s, i think. was a healthy, vibrant young lady, living alone in NYC. waiting tables + part-time actress. she ended up having to move back in with her mother. she had some very good days, where you wouldnt know shes sick, then she has other days where she is in so much pain she just screams for hours.

the worst of all of it is that insurance companies dont recognize Chronic Lyme as a disease. so most of her treatments and medications have to be paid for out of pocket, costing thousands every month.
which is ridiculous because it can't be cured, at least not that i've been told.

A local burger joint here had to change it's name from "Murder Burger" to "Redrum Burger" because some place, somewhere, was called Murder Burger.
it is sad because it will cost a very small restaurant a few thousand dollars to change everything they need to change....
