what a wonderful treasure, I was given a beautiful red one which I will hang on a wall as a reminder of the many times we'd go out for a meal wearing her hats!! She was quite a lovely lady. She had also taken up painting and eventually taught! so I also have a painting done by one of her pupils,
Many were auctioned of and they were able to bring in quite a large bit of money or Hospise.

She must have had a big collection. I personally love hats, and my hubby had several really nice ones - but I couldn't part with any of his. Several folks did try to talk me out of one or the other of them, as I had some hanging up above his picture board for his memorial gathering a few weeks back.
