Hi all!! nbt/nbs
good morning all. Lol, first thing I 'see' is Muhaha
My first phantom is mascara.
My first phantom is mascara.
*hugs Jac* Jeezzz hun, that's been ages! How are you doing?
I'm still keeping on keeping on. Doing fine thanks, Sprite. You looking forward to Rose's visit?
can't wait :) Good to hear you are doing fine.
Ooh! On of my favourite ps exclamations is in the grid, plus its past tense. p + sounds like beside the sea.
yes :) Nice one, isn't it?
I'm posting everyday stuff on FB, sprite, but are you on there?
no, never. I stopped using FB, it was too much of a timesink for me.
Yes, I get that. It certainly can be, if you let it. Haveyou published any more books?
my daughter's name is in the grid and she is coming home today :)
My surname was in the grid a couple of days ago and that doesn't happen often.
:D always a nice surprise
Hope you enjoy the time with your daughter. I don't see mine as often as I'd like, but we do keep in touch with private messaging on Facebook.
cooee and g'day from me. {{sprite}} and {{jac}} xoxox
we use whatsapp a lot. She can't come home as often as we'd all like, too busy with her study and work. But when she can, it is wonderful to have her here.
*hugs rose* Hello my darling, how was your day?
Hi grannyrose!
a little easier thanx. slept well last night for the first time in about 2 weeks.
Is whatsapp one of those smart phoen things? I don't have a fancy cellphone.
thank the Big Guy for that.
how was your yesterday and night prite?
yeah it is an application on a smartphone. Enables you to text and send pictures for free if you have wifi. A very nice app.
pretty okay, rose. Prepared caya's room for her. All that's left to do is making the bed with fresh linen, which is already clean and dry. And cooking a huge pot of curry :)
I've been offered fancy cellphones for years now, but don't want one. I just keep with a basic cell phone that I barely use anyway.
Tim and Liza are eating here too, and I want to give caya a couple of portions to take home with her. So it will be a HUGE pot.
I was the same, Jac. But as soon as I tried one, I didn't want to go back. Some very nice features, even for people who hardly use their phones.
nice sprite. lolll in the pot big enough to bath a baby?
about that size, lol
I can't stand texting - no good for my thumb joints. Much prefer a proper keyboard. Dinosaur, me!LOL
oh, I hear you, I prefer a real keyboard too.
:)
so... a quick babble for me, then making the bed and getting the groceries. Home in time for caya's arrival. Then catching up, hugging (lots of hugging) and cooking my famous curry, and some hugging.
Same for me re quick Babble, then household and writing stuff. Oh, and some sleep woudl be nice, too.
hehehe, sleep is a good thing.
Hi all and hugs, friends.
*hugs Liz* Hello my friend, how are you and your beloved today?
{{liz}} xoxox
We're both fine - and how are you all?
doing fine here. Looking forward to having Caya here for one night.
That's really something to look forward to :)
How about you, Rose - both well?
don is good. i'm not too crash hot at the mo'. dr john is putting me in for a FOUR day infusion.
and he told her to #)%*)(* TAKE the flipping endone.
4 days!!! Will that see you through Europe or will you need more before? Of course, take the Endone. Daft not to, when you've been told to.
he is giving her slow release endone for the duration of the vacation. I like that man. And I will spank rose if she is here and not taking it.
*if she is not taking it while here
it should see me through. he is also putting me on slow-release oxycodone twice/day, with endone for break-through.
lollll, sprite, you'll have to catch me first
That's your job, Sprite - I know you'll take it seriously. Look after Rose. It's such a special holiday for her.
tsk, silly rose. I can't run or even walk fast. I'll sic Rob or Tim on you.
I'll take very very good care of her and Don, I promise
rofloll
You'll have me to answer to otherwise - long distance or not. I might even detour on my next trip to Europe!
oh now, that changes things. So mistreating rose will reward me with a visit from Liz... now I have to think things over verrrrrrry carefully....
:)
Hmmm - I see sprite is thinking too much.
But that'll be the nasty me - you've only met the nice one!
lol. I love you, Liz, in all your personae. And Jac has me pegged there!
Same :)
Lovely to catch up - but got to go now. Hugs to all. BBL
have a lovely evening, Liz, and a peaceful night
hugs back to you both liz
I'm off, too. Happy Babbling all. xx
Jac and I came very very close to meeting too. I got the darn flu at a rotten time.

hiya Sam

Huh, I didn't know that was a word without the suffix. Well, that's good to know; thanks!
the i is a poetry word, used for metric
I know the root; I'd been bemoaning the lack of an -ic at the end of it
my post was a clue, lol , but rose beat me to it

ZZoozz!! Am I too later to say hello?
Hello, ((Ruby))
I was just about to turn of the computer then lol
How are you?
I've just been counting (re-counting) my blessings and realize how fortunate I am!!
Why what has happened?
And you? How are you doing? Is it still cold there?
And you? How are you doing? Is it still cold there?
Not too cold but the wind is picking up :-(
N othing bad, but I spoke with my sister yesterday and she is always focused on the negative
Is it warming up where you are yet?
It's cold here, but brilliantly sunny and the afternoon will be warmer
Oh the glass half empty person.
A bit like me at times although I am getting better at being more positive!
Yes, she is, and, at the moment, my glass is overflowing!
Glad it will be warmer for you. Roll on the Summer!
It is lovely to hear you say your glass is over flowing, Ruby! You deserve it :-)
I've decided to play vegetables on the deck because it's too hard and dangerous to go down to the potager
And you are part ofmy world, zooz, I mean it!
And why not. Sounds like a good idea to me!
plant* not play
Like that I can water them easily because the deck is adjacent to the kitchen
"Container gardening"
((Ruby)) very sweet of you. You are such a kind lady. Babble is a very good place for friendly people...Well most of them lol
Thank you for saying that. I see myself as not so kind! LOL
Vegetables right outside of your window! Sounds great. What type of veggies are you going to give a go?
The people I care about are like a garden....
Of course, Ruby and the ones you do not like are the weeds that you must take and out and throw away :-)
Cherry tomatoes, maybe some squash, I'm going to the garden centre with a friend this afternoon and she can shlep the dirt up from the garage.
Or ignore LOL
well yes ignore is just as good Teehee!
I'll see what they have. I also discovered yesterday that I can order freesias on the internet and they're not even dear.
Shlep...What a wonderful word!
I'll plant some in a pot for cutting in the house.
It's one of th 10 Yiddish words I know.
It sounds like this plan is coming together really well. You will be making lovely vegetable pies and alike through-out the Summer!
Uh uh, I only cook for the dogs
Butternut squash is really nice if seasoned well.
Right now I haave two big bouquets of white and green in the living room with me. The Casablanca lilies are beautiful, but the scent is borderline too strong!
Good idea, I could just stick it in the oven, slather it with butter, and eat it like that
Sounds lovely. Good job you dont suffer from hayfever then LOL
I don't even care about seasning, just simplicity and no work
LOL
I probably do, but I'd rather have flowers, hayfever be damned!
How are your babies doing?
I'm really happy to have seen you, but I had better take my bath while the housekeeper is here
No worries, Ruby. I need to get to parents house anyway. ((Ruby)) Nice to catch up with you.
My Rufie has started doing new and lovely thingss. I looked at one of those dopey "10 ways" things on YouTube and he does all 10 of the ways a dog shows his love -- even mimics my yawns.
And yesterday he offered his favorite toy to his "sister"
