I have the feeling they are just now starting to feel the shock and fear. It all went so fast. I'll see if I can help them in any way.
will you be going home tomorrow? Or am I a day off as usual?
good friend you are sprite. some flowers maybe, or better, a plant which will bloom every year to remind them of this wonderful news and time.
you aren't a day off at all. dr john sent me home early as i was feeling so well.
I am bringing a pebble I painted for him, as a power rock. And a cuddly toy to keep him company.
oh how wonderful! So you are home already, that is great news.
tomorrow we start tying up the last of the few loose ends remaining, apart from the grandkiddies demanding our presence on grandparents day at their school.

thinking it will take me longer than that
Greetings, Babblers. Love, embraces and prayers for our British family.
Nice Judi. I despise terrorist actions in Europe
Surely ALL terrorist actions should be despised?
I despise terrorist actions anywhere.
Killing children at a concert. Unbelievable.
all of the terrorist acts are deplorable and cowardly
*!* hagd everyone
I wish they would just keep their terrorist crap in the Arab countries in the middle east and sort it out there amongst themselves. ( and leave Israel out of it)
It is hard to feel safe anywhere.n I'm even nervois in this backwater, reluctant to go to the mall in Annecy.
I doubt they could find Annecy. But no one is truly safe anywhere while this festers
You really have to keep a hairy eyeball when in large crowds. Even then, you never know when some nut job with a martyr wish will pop up.
What is really the point of killing innocent people?
What is the gain?
Islamic terrorists (ISIS, ISIL, etc. etc.) believe in a strict ideology. They believe that those who live in Western culture are sinful - an abomination according to their interpretation of their religion.
They want to create fear and uncertainty
It is their belief that it is an obligation to kill those who do not adhere to their religion.
The only certainty is that England will bomb the shit out of them
Or the US will
And limit our freedoms through making us reluctant to travel, congregate, seek Entertainment, etc.
You really think England will?
*tries to imagine Ruby in a Burka*
There are no go zones in Britain - Muslims living in certain clusters. These Muslims practice Sharia law, subjugate and enslave women, and generally ignore local and national law. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DO THIS by Britain. Time to take out the trash I say.
Happy to change the subject....Anyone have a clue for the Ra7?
Young rat ruffians ra7
There has been an enormous change here in the 18 years since I arrived. Although tthere were many muslims, the women were friendly (I shopped in a halaal butcher) and weren't in hijabs.
Now, they are and no longer make eye contact
are in hijabs*
France has much the same problem as Britain, Ruby. Again, time to take out the trash. Maybe allow the women and children to stay, but the Muslim men (those who subscribe to Sharia law and ignore French laws) need to be deported.
Ty for the clue, Ru. Fireworks.
Yw judi
It is not going to be fun flying now
America also shares the same problem. I would say the vast majority of Muslims who want to enter this country as "refugees" or "immigrants" deserve the more accurate label of "infiltrators".
I won 't fly any more or even take a train. I'm glad I travelled so much before, both for work and for pleasure. This is it for me.
Sure, Ru. Security everywhere will be ramped up again. That's all well and good, but terrorists aim for soft targets. Drive a car or truck into a crowd on the street. Blow yourself up in an arena. Shoot up a mall.
They are cowardly and unconscionable and therefore difficult to defend against.
I agree with those 2 comments
I've blathered on enough. Time to get to work.
See y'all tomorrow! *POOF*
Could I get a clue for the N in the first row?
ng + Scottish small
why are we back ot a tiny grid again????
hi and bye
My final 62
14 to go
Only just seen some of the comments about immigrants. Although some relevant points are made, some of the comments are ignorant and outrageous.
jefe
sorry!!
and that's fw
that has to be the quickest grid I've ever done
I too find outright bans to be problematic. In the US, there are far many more attacks committed by right wing extremists, than there are by terrorists, but muslims, and muslim males seem like an easy target. Of those terror attacks that do occur, a significant number were perpetrated by people who were either born in the US or naturalized here.
I think there's also a case to be made that banning muslims, either male, or blanket bans, would do more to alienate those in the country, and perhaps have the opposite effect of that which is intended
Good to see some common sense on an emotive subject.
9/11 is the last time an American was killed by a foreign born terrorist. And they were Saudis.
Wow. Some truly ugly and ignorant ('taking out the trash') comments. I'm ever so glad this is not my first time on the chog - I'd hate to think what a newby would think based on some of what was said. And, for the record, the whole no-go thing is a lie peddled by Fox News. Sharia Law has no legal basis here and if individuals tried to enforce it, where it contradicted British law would find themselves in hot water.
a ban is an insane and reactionary proposition, which is based on emotions and not actual prevention of anything
te6/21.....clue please
extend the te 5/12 before it, babies do it
ty... i thought I had tried that one, mael
I'm relieved to see some sane contributions on this subject. I was beginning to wonder if I had wandered into a different chat log by mistake.
:)
tenth
sorry
I think Judi's comments were over the top
Judi, I saw your comment. You are right. The UK has let in people that complain against the government. They have also let in a lot of known terrorists.
Since when is complaining against the government a deportable offense?
Travel in certain parts of London and Paris can be disconcerting.
They are forever changed.
Matty - look at Germany in World War II, look at Uganda under Idi Amin, Look at Saudi Arabia, Look at Thailand....
I still can't find the d, eveen trying morewords, or the 7.
And hello Hego
Godthaab: I don't get what parallel you are drawing

Hi again

The Babble Gods are telling all that it is time to step away from the computer and do other things. : D
hah!
Well yeah, I know. Most people here go play other games when this one is short and sweet.
i would not call it sweet....
No, the small ones are never sweet. In order to qualify as small ones, they usually include insane words like ngwee
ty molly....i know i would never have found that one...is the d word a dh word?
oh!....it's a real word....sort of... ;o)
fireworks!
