good morning all! A baby babble :(
Good morning Sprite. I've been away with no internet access so out of touch. How's the adventure with Rose going?
hiya Maisie! It is going splendidly. The four of us are getting along so well, it is like we have been close friends for all our lives. We've been able to take them to see quite a few interesting places and we enjoy being together so much!
So glad you get on but knew you would. Any photos anywhere yet
lots of photos but not yet in a shared folder. Don is documenting everything though, so we will put them for you to see somewhere when we can.
Lovely, So what are you up to today
today is for the Anne Frank house, and a shoe store for Rose if they are open today. Might not be, since it is a bank holiday here.
hm no indeed, it is closed :( Albert Cuyp market then, probably.
That's on my list of things to see one day. Love markets too. Rose will just have to wait for her shoes lol
lol yeah. Probably on wednesday then. Tomorrow we are going to Giethoorn
No idea where that is
it is in Overijssel (province), north-east part of the netherlands
Nice
and how are you today, Maisie?
to show your country off to people, have a lovely time
thank you. You too!
Split post lol. I am fine thank you. Had a lovely relaxing time in the New Forest, walking and bike rides weather unpredictable as usual but hey ho this is England
true, just like the netherlands. How wonderful you had a good time.
Missed my grandchildren though, catching up with them later today
aw they will be so glad to see you again too
I hope so - big trouble if they're not
lol!
Off now so have a lovely day. Speak soon x
Give my love to Rose
will do! Have a great day, Maisie, enjoy your grandkids.
Thank you

It is an Islamic word that is in the grids fairly frequently. It starts with not thin.
Ty Molly
aah got it thanks for that
Yick, this is a nasty one :)
I think so

Molly said 15 min ago It is an Islamic word that is in the grids fairly frequently. It starts with not thin.

Aah, just missed Sandy
Hello everybody
Bon matin sweetie
I was here earlier and din't find this so easy. Only got 44 words
Bonjour, ma petite!
hardly petite
I just picked a small bouquet of roses and peonies , all in shades of pink, and the whole room is fragrant (offsetting Mr. Stinky)
do you have roses which have aromas. None of mine have
No, mine have no perfume, it's the peonies
Yes, but only the white ones have an aroma
I have white ones, but I would have to go down steps tp pick them, so I don't know
This grid is no fun for me
Bye for now
enjoy your peonies, ruby -- I love mine so much!
I love mine, but they exist for just a couple of weeks. At least the roses I can get to rebloom
but they're such beautiful cut flowers and their fragrance fills the room :-)
good morning dear friends.
babbling in the morning is such a pleasure - a nice respite before the day descends
Hi Trif. Are you off for summer vacation or are you teachingthis summer?
And congratulations to #3 on her HS graduation.
hi scrabbler! I am off regular classes, but still working with tutoring kids
and thanks!
What does #3 want to major in at college?
she wants to be a guidance counselor. she is straight up GIFTED with kids
Good for her.
good morning, babblers!
Hi Eva and Baby K.

good morning eva! GORGEOUS baby you have there!!!
morning, Dr Scrabs. morning Trif - thankyou!
I looked up that school, Trif, and it looks wonderful. I think any college in a small town of New England would be a great experience.
mind you, I have barely -- BARELY -- stopped my blubbering, so we really shouldn't talk about her going off to college yet....lol
oh, i went to a fairly small, rural-ish college, Trif, and i ADORED it (hubs + i are headed back there next weekend for aluumni weekend!)
good to know, evanadine!
we are praying for all the world and love England.
Oh, sorry. You will need another dog.

I know "cheers" is unknown in the US other than for cheering, a friend wrote a story using it as a greeting (it means thanks)
I live in the US and use cheers as a greeting all the time
but I have brit tendencies because I learned english at a british school growing up :)
Hrm, aside from my friend's story, who got the wrong end of the stick (the character was supposed to be british), I've never actually heard of cheers being used as a greeting

What a beautiful cat....Tabby!
Thank you :)
Is it half siamese or a special breed?
She's got some Siamese in her but she's a mix, was formerly feral.
Sometimes the mixes are so beautiful.
What did you name her?
Yes they are. Her eyes and voice are definitely Siamese. We also have one of her kittens who seems to have some Maine Coon in her.
No imagination in giving names. She is Miss Kitty and her daughter is Little Bit.
Do u know the folk lore story about the "M" on her forehead?
Yes, I do. And did you know that all cats are tabbies, even the big cats, or so I have heard.
I know.... they all have the"m" marking no matter what the mature.
My daughter had a solid black cat but if the light hit her just right you could see stripes.
WOW....now that I have never seen!
Very faint, but they were there.
It surprised me too. She was sitting on the windowsill and the sunlight hit her just so.
What a photo that would have made!
And of course I had no camera or phone with me.
Sometimes memories are the best photographs.
I need to carry my phone with me more than I do. Recently I was going out to pick up the newspaper from the driveway, saw something swoop by, and when I turned to look there was a red shouldered hawk perched on the edge of the roof. With the clear blue sky behind it, that would have been a great shot.
good morning, everyone

Greetings, all!
Hiya Judi
You've missed the short-lived flurry of activity that goes with small grids, by about an hour.
Eh. Figures. I was cleaning out a closet. Now I have a huge pile of clothes on the floor that I have to sort through before they go to Good Will.
Ugh. Been there, done that.
I just started out looking for a knee brace that I knew was in there somewhere.
On the up side, I found the knee brace.
Yay for braced knees!
Phhfth. I need more coffee. 20 left. This grid is poopy.
Okay. Have the re-charge cup.
FW. I'm out of here unless you want to ask for clues right quick.
Fireworks! The Fa5 was the final problem.
Awesome! Bye now.
*POOF*
Having my lunchtime go at this grid. Phfft. 74 "words." Riiight.
Thankful as always for all the clues in the chog. Love you, Babble people!
English as she is spoke: you can have ta5/12, but not the word that results if you drop the last letter; you can have ya4/10, but you can't have the word that results if you add that dropped letter from ta5/22. I can say "I feel ya5/26 (don't try it - NOT A REAL WORD) at 11:00PM Eastern Time and the chog will know what I mean. Maybe Sprite will add it to her Babblet list...

Hi Peri. I>'m stuck at 48 words. I don't even know

Do you have both z's?
The chat is too wide because of the link posted. Links need to be posted

Good job!

WTG! Mael

satan not in dict??????????????how do you spell it then?
it's a proper noun, a name.
i have seen so many proper nouns in this grid over time. oh well.
you can refer to a satan rather than "the" satan. cant fight it.
there is only one and he is a person with a proper name.
I thought NA4/9 was a proper noun as well....interesting..
down to 9 but totally stuck... and lunch is over.
dang it.
Clue for the fa5/24?
not thin + abbreviation for the upper NW state in the contiguous US
nada a proper noun? it's spanish for nothing but has transitioned into colloquial english.
TY!!!
No...the NA 4/9
:)
May I have a nudge on the ad5?

This grid suct
i am done....had to use a 2 z for the last word...
Is it some sort of awful to use A2Z Wordfinder?
nope...the word was weird...
Okay, I just wondered why you said that. Lots of people use A2Z and morewords.com to finish grids.
oh i know....
i was frustrated that i could not find my last word....only 5 letters....
This was a nasty grid. Lots of words that people are not familiar with.
true....i did not like it....not even one E....
No E, no O, crappy little grid. Maybe tomorrow's grid will be more interesting.
hopefully...
i am heading out....bye all....
** finito ** AD 5/16 - a forbidden place in inner shrine
- not a word used in conversation
that was my last word, too...
