Good morning
good morning all
good morning Sprite, how are things going there
*hugs flosey* Good evening to you! Things are still going perfectly here. Will be our last full day, today we will send the men out to do some male bonding and Rose and I will laze about and do her nails
tonight we will go out for dinner with all of us, Rose and Don, Rob and I, Tim and Lisa, and Caya
a nice restful day, am sure you must need it !! Enjoy
how was your day, flosey?
today was a quiet day for me - don't think I was even out of the house!!
was the visit from the former student enjoyable?
except for my daily walk - always
yes Sprite, it was lovely, I had not met her before
I believe that is the best way to stay healthy... do a daily walk
glad it was lovely! Yes, you are right, we can use relaxing day, last week was intense. But highly enjoyable. We have grown even closer, Rose and I. True sisters.
am full of arthritis, so it is one easy exercise - do intend to get back to an exercise class though - have to push myself there though
my mother was also, does one inherit such !!!
sounds painful :( Doing exercise must take courage... but I think it is great you do it.
it only gets worse without exercise
very true. Still, not easy to push through the pain.
we live in a very beautiful area, surrounded by huge trees so it is pleasant and enjoyable walking
sounds gorgeous to me. I love trees. If I could somehow live in the woods, I'd be perfectly happy. Even if it was only in a dump!
we're in a very pretty valley - the cedars are so huge I could not get my arms around the trunks, also have maples - but not the gorgeous sugar maples we had back in Ontaio and Quebec - in autumn they turn red - here they turn yellow
beautiful at any rate!!
those red trees are so incredibly beautiful.
I do enjoy going back to Ontario in the autumn for that reason, last year we went end of June when grandson graduated HS - this year I'll try to go back late September/early Oct.
oh, I have a new toy... Rose and Don gave us a slow cooker! For treating them like royalty, they say... silly, because it was our privilege and pleasure... but it is a gift we will treasure for a long time. Have been searching for recipes. Am so gonna enjoy using it.
ah, slow cookers are great Sprite - put supper in early in the day and forget it!!
exactly! Just my kind of thing. I have most energy and least pain in the mornings, and around dinner time am at my lowest. This is absolutely brilliant.
must have been awesome to see grandson graduate... worth missing the autumn colours for once, I bet
ah, same here Sprite - hubby has been doing most of the cooking these days - and he's good
*thanks and blessings for husbands who are willing to cook and do it well to boot*
bending over counters, sinks, and such is probably the most difficult for me now
some things, we can do sitting down. But most parts of cooking really require us to stand, alas
cooking/baking things I enjoyed most!!
so frustrating, when aging makes it hard to do the things we enjoy most :(
ah yes, sigh - but aging beats the alternative
giggle
*giggles* Too true!
ah!!! FW!! last word tr7/32 and now must be off to bed
always good to see you in here Sprite - love to Rose
wtg flosey! Sleep well *hug*
will do!
fireflies. Bye all, have a blessed day and/or a peaceful night
very quiet in here tonight
Hi Sandy, I'm here for about 10 more minutes :)
some of these words , in fact a fair number of these words are escaping me
Me too, i think I have all the obvious ones. I have 41 left.
26 here
I cant get the mo7 or the ha7
The ha 7 is like the ta 7
oh duh....ty
I just got it myself when you said it was an Ha7 :)
also my icon has changed very mysteriously ???? and it is still a giant baby
Hmm...
I must have tried however unsuccessfully at some stage
no clues for the mo7?
No, I don't have it yet.
Hello, back from the vet and my Rufie is fine!
I cant remember when I have seen an 11 letter word in here (dont clue it I am living in hope)
Hi Ruby...glad to hear that.
Anyway, I have got to go now. Take care both of you.
hey Ruby, was he ok on the trip and I am glad he is ok
Its been amazingly quiet in here tonight
The car ride was tough and the tranq didn't kick in until now. It was hard to get him into and out of the car, but he is the best!
I was here earlier, lurking, and got 62 words
He looks enormous , in fact he looks bigger than you
How are you, with everybody back?
He weighs 33 KG
<I'm eating white peaches and cream for lunch
busy again and have just been singing waltzing matilda to the baby who was crying
sounds yummy
i am going to a long table lunch put on by the students at the chefs school here
it is on saturday very interesting these lunches they put on a series of 6 once a year and they are overseen by one of the winery chefs
The only bad thing about thisregion is the food. It was fine when I cooked, but otherwise, awful.
I think I was more upset than Rufie this morning.
I don't lie when I say we hav very fabulous restaurants here in our south west. we have a festival once a year where people like Heston, Rick Stein, and lots of others come (I am terrible with names ) but you get my drift
I thought all food in France was fabulous. I have only been to Paris and apart from the terrible breakfasts, the food was great
Fortunately, the view from this prettyhouse makes up for the food.
I saw a photo of the view but I can't remember where. Watching the Tour I get that most of the countryside of France is stunning
This region has a very bland, cheese-laden style. There are a few decent restaurants, but since they are in Annecy, rather than my village, they're no longer accessible for me
Do you have that mo7/36?
And I'm too far from Annecy to order takeout!
What is your village called?
It is Veyrier du Lac, on the east side of Lake Annecy
You can get very close on GooglEarth; if I stand in the driveway, I could wave
I have no words bigger than 7 and not even mo7
I bet it is just gorgeous I will try to do that but not tonight and I must try to find us on google earth -
there is an 11 letter word tonight
I'd be happy with an 8!
mo 7 36 like that big thing in the nighttime sky
I haven't got that on yet
yeah thanks marilyn
mo4 + sh5 is a nifty phantom
ty marilyn
I kept trying that one Ruby
Where in I, Marilyn? I lived in Carbondale for almost 2 years. Frst husband was fromElgin
Do you have stats for the 8, 10 and 11?
I do , give me a mo
ca10/84 ca11/104 ca8/50
dont give me any clues I am trying to get them on my own
some of these words are very odd
I can't even imagine wh** they are.
I can't imagine them
Maybe a nap would help
lol I cant believe it but I didn't have that wh**
hahah
20 left
I want a larger grid they are more fun
I give up for now. See you later, no hugs
Size matters!
bye for now take care
This is very funny. Only 98 words and an 11 letter word
Thanks Sandy - got all the CAs
good morning all. I found ca7/8. but no luck with the ca10 or call
and I like bigger grids too'
they all relate to a strange word for a cold
ok will keep looking.
Is it too early for clues? I went thru today's entire chat and there isn't a single clue
There was a clue at 7:07 that gave me the 8,10 and 11.
Got 'em! Had the 7 and finagled the rest. It's gonna be a great day! :)
i admire your attitude.
that clue gave me the CA 7-8 combo, but not the 10 -11 - will keep looking
got the 10 - 11 - thnx
halfway, NBT and NBS - time to go play music - BBL this evening
bye wvt
I need another clue for ca7, please?
all the long ca words are related to an old word for a cold
Sorry that clue didn't help me.
ca + word for paving + repeat last consonant + differant consonant
wow, bich, I didn't even know that was an english word. It's the Italian word for chest congestion
thank you
end of CA 10 - ends like the large animal with ahorn (RH 5) but change the final vowel
ok, don't know for Italian, but have heard the word used long ago
it's cool. Latin to the rescue once again :)
got them all thanks
It's peak was in the late 19th century

Good morning, all! Late start today. Was cleaning out files her at the police station. Blah.
cant believe there is a 10 and 11 in this grid!!
Yes. That is a bit daunting.
i have the 10-11 combo thanks to earlier clues, but i am still missing the 8. anyone have that? (happy to share 10-11 clues, if youd like them)
It's the base word of those two, Eva, and the plural
TY tabby - all new words to me!
It's an old word for a chest cold
Wow. That's a mouthful.
ah, i have the 8 now must figure out the other ty
got it!
10 left. Time for lunch. *POOF*
Hmm, the definition for the 10/11 combo says it is a kind of ape
Oh I get it, the 8 is an old word for chest cold
chest colds are nothing to monkey around with
I wonder what the Middle English used for chest colds? Ye Olde Vick Vapum Rub?
An onion tied on the chest.
Ye olde onion poultice
Having killed the chog, I am away.
no one has said anything for 2 1/2 hours???
hello poodle - just came during lunch briefly
Hi wvteach
Hi All
hi hego
hello hego
Hi Teach
and PT
finally finished those pesky w's
pesky grid
do you have a clue for the 10/11. I have heard monkey clues and chest cold clues. but none of that helped me
Do you have the 7
no
It starts with the feline animal
and is a word for a chest infection with productive cough.
ty got that
disgusting, sorry
CA 7, 10, 11, 8 combo - the CA 7 and 8 are old fashion words for cold or chest congestion - the 10 and 11 (pl) end with large horned animal (RH 5)
the next three grow from that
good one Teach
Those years of respiratory nursing paid off. lol
but change the last vowel of RH 5
Okay, ive got them all now. Phew! ty
:)

Hi Min, how are you doing?
Hello MollyL!I am okay. Struggling with my last ten words.
And the t-shirt is so very right.
I thought it was funny U posted about Facebook b4 seeing my icon. It is kinda funny because my husband got me this t-shirt.This saying describes him to a tee, no pun intended
He pretends he has a job, he doesn't. He pretends to know it all, he doesn't. He pretends he's not an alcoholic, he is.

Congratulations dan2bit on your fireworks! Hooray for you

ta4/5 word is anagram of the ha4/5 word sandyloo and hi
Hello eieios! How are you doing today? Welcome to puzzle.
Hello JBsAnno! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.
Good! Thanks gor asking. Love your icon.
Yw, eieios. Hi, Minver, good to see you! Love your t-shirt in your profile.
yeah I got it thanks min
I, for one, do not pretend my life is awesome.I also do not air my dirty laundry on FB either. I try to keep it fun&light
and thanks jb LOL I just went off to eat my vegemite and toast for breakfast
I'm on FB mainly to follow my family, lots of nieces and nephews. I don't post much.
Live is never all fun and light, but we can keep it fun with the attitude we approach it with, min.
I want to ask what vegemite tastes like, but I think the answer would be 'vegemite, silly.'
I post the same icons I post here with the unusual holidays.
I love facebook , I dont post much just look at photos of friends and family and Margaret River has a community page and a for sale page . I think it is great
My parents just came back from Aus., sandy, and my mom brought back some vegemite packets for my kids that taste. They said it tasted like fish food. Lol
vegemite is very salty and looks like a black paste and is a yeast extract. It is really yummy
I also post pics of my dog. I will NEVER post selfies though.
Probably not the best sample.
FB on mobile in the US has a perpetual yard/garage sale going on. Between that and Pinterest I'm looking at my phone A LOT.
LOL it's hilarious how other countries perceive the taste of vegemite
Actually never use Facebook on my phone, only on laptop.
Our American relatives dont like it at all and the Brits prefer marmite but I don't like marmite at all
Also don't go on FB every day, maybe a few times a month
The buy and sell page is great for us in the country
They wouldn't let my mom take anything food related out od Aus. Into NZ.
I am more into Instagram for pics. Not so much advertizing, etc, there.
Minver, have you seen @dog_rates on Twitter? (also on Instagram, FB, and Tumblr) People send in pics of their dogs, and he writes captions and rates the dogs. It's hilarious and heartwarming, and has spawned its very own meme (they're good dogs, Brent)
Hm, definitely on my phone too much. Ah well, my train commute is long and my phone battery is strong!
I Need to check that out. Love dogs.
Aus and NZ have very strict codes of practice regarding food . Even travelling between our australian states we cant take fruit. When we went to the States I took a box of passionfruit for Bruce's father and unbelieveably I had no trouble getting it through - I was very honest about it
And what does marmite taste like? Do we in the US have any equivalents to that, or to vegemite?
marmite looks like vegemite but tastes sickly and is sweeter than vegemite. The Brits won't agree
Isn't that because nature in Australia is wild and crazy, and could latch on to a new seed and just overrun the native growth?
something like that. we are free of lots of things that other countries are cursed with. Don't ask me what!
I have to go and get on with some things...picking up horse poo , collecting eggs etc. lol bbl
I think I'll keep our spiders and snakes and all our crawly creepy things that I know here. I understand that Aussie flora and fauna are out to get you any way they can!
Good night, sandyloo, enjoy your evening pick up and collecting!
Thanks for the dog reference. Super cute. I am out for the night. ðŸ‘ðŸ»
And that's fireworks for me, off to bed to dream about chogs, grids, and commutes with spiders on a train...
YW, eieios, glad you enjoy it! Good night!
Congratulations JBsAnno on your fireworks!Hooray for you
Looks like nobody is here to see my FWs so I'm out.Bye all!
I just got here Min! YAY, MIN!!! WTG!!!
