Goodmorning. Rain was predicted,k but so far, so good
We finally have some. Our fires have simmered down. What a relief
Is it cold yet?
and a feline....
A friend sent me a photo of her Ragamuffin cat yesterday. I think it's the prettiest cat l've ever seen!
It's relative cold since we went from a drought and heat wave to normal September. It's above freezing in town but just barely. It snowing and slushy in the mountains and on the passes
I was hoping for an Indian summer but, alas, no Indians here (either kind)
naans
sorry
We might get a rebound of Indian summer, but it will be nice to have the forest fires slow down!
volcano poker alert
I can imagine. Do animals show up on your property, escaping from the fires?
For the most part no, but I have heard stories of animals running out of a forest toward the river, just before a fire storm. A friend watched bears, snakes, birds, squirrels, and deer all running/slithering toward the river. He said it was like a scene from the Peaceable Kingdom!
When the creek behind his house rises, snakes, armadillos and other creatures arrive on my son's deck
sifts
no more talking for me!
thanks for the words
i don't supposed you could accidentally type in the 8?
l wish! LOL
good morning all
Morning sprite , how are you today
*hugs Maisie* I am fine, had a nightshift which was heartwarming and amazing, am slowly coming down on earth, lol. How are you today?
What do you do at night
I do volunteer work for a telephone help service. We offer a listening ear to anyone who needs it.
Ah with you, must be hard at times though
sometimes it can be hard. when people are in real trouble, desperate, and our empathy makes us feel it too. But it is also rewarding and so very very necessary. Not many listeners in this world.
Do you get a lot of calls at night seeing as it's long and lonely if you're in need
yes, the nightshifts are usually the ones with the most serious problems. Loneliness and desperation often are tougher to bear during the night.
True, you must be exhausted
I suppose this helps you relax before you attempt sleep
not really, it is very rewarding too. I usually come home with a deep sense of gratefulness. And yeah, babble is a great way to wind down. Am not going to sleep now, will wait till this afternoon for a nana nap, or early to bed tonight. I slept from 8 pm till 1 am.
Good thinking then it won't mess up tonight's sleep
exactly :D I try to plan my agenda empty for the day after, so not many obligations today! Some knitting while binge-watching a series on netflix, methinks. What are your plans for today?
Oh I've got 3 children today and overnight, the other baby is going to Nana's because I haven't enough beds for 4. My son was 40 this week which makes me feel old. He has a friend down for the weekend so they are off to the races
congrats on your son... and you will never be old! You are amazing, the way you manage your grandkids.
I must admit I don't feel or act anywhere near my age. I expect it will hit me one day, but I am so lucky with my health
age is so very relative. Your mindset and view of life are a much stronger influence than the amount of years you lived. Health is important, but I know people who struggle with ill health and are still so very young at heart.
True, so true
yay, right column greyed out
Still got 3 more L's to find
yeah there is a 6/7 combo that took me quite a while
definitely haven't found that yet, phantom lustre
nice one. Let me know if you want help for that combo
Ok, did find the monetary unit from Angola thanks to one of your lists
yay! I love it when the lists are used.

What do you call it when you feed a stick of dynamite to a steer? Abominable!
Good one. Thanks for the pun.
Had a dream last night that today's puzzle had 921 words.
I see that my dream did NOT come true :(
Hi Car. That is funny.
Hello!
Silly brain!
I have the best dreams--so vivid and detailed. They fascinate me.
Very cool!
Do you ever have recurring dreams? I have one where I live in the same house.
I used to. Not very often now though.
Have to run. HAGD!!! :)
Bye.
I can't post here about my dreams
Rated X?
Sometimes. But mostly they are weird
Dreams are interesting.
I had a dream that...um...never mind : D
mine change all the time
yep.. molly.. that's what I'm saying too and sticking to it
I can say with all honesty that I don't dream about Babble
I have once or twice... not often though
I think it is because I play it everyday
Hello. Doess anybody know a trick for getting a tiny splinter out. It isn't wood, much small
a needle will do it
smaller* and it's gettinginfected
soak it and get real pointy tweezers
Or soak it in really warm water and gently press around the splinter area to get it out.
Thank you; lll try
If it is getting infected, douse it in peroxide or alcohol
Where is my mother when l need her?
I use a needle to dig out splinters.
Bye and thanks
phantom: insult
I have recurring and spectaccular dreams due to taking a SSR
Me too, bichon. Just incredibly detailed and fascinating.
And when I wake up I want to tell Mr. Bich all about them. It grows old quickly for him.
I know many people that say they don't dream at all. I enjoy sleeping because it is like going to the cinema.
i watched a few episodes of a hulu show called "Chance" starring Hugh Laurie last night, so then i dreamed about being murdered. i think i actually screamed aloud as i woke up from one of them.
I love the ones where I hve to go back to college to complete one more course
oh i've had those too bichon!
what is SSR
and i can never find the schedule so then i keep missing class and am probably going to fail
hey,, we dreaam alke hurshy
Serotonin Selective Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) (why were we leaving the I off?)
scrabs will correct me if i am wrong
I have that dream frequently, bichon. I return to HS to take English. I used Monarch Notes in HS to survive English. The only book I finished was Catcher in the Rye.
Correct, Hurshy.
I also have the recurring dream in which cannot find my locker or if I think I have the correct locker I do not recall the combination.
60 left. I am done. Enjoy the day.

Can't say I ever dream about high school lockers or high school English class. And I'm glad for that.
High school was so long ago. I hated high school
Not good years for most people. I had more fun in college.
I had way more fun in college
I had better grades in college than high school too. Generally crappy teaching at my high school
Yo yo yo, peeps!
yo judi
Reading back in chat. Scrabbs - I still have a recurring dream in which I forget my locker combination and have to schlep down to the school office to recover it.
I had a blast in high school. Only briefly went to college, so... not much to tell there.
A high school needs drug intervention.
last word, f8
any clues?
sorry, f7
Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened **** lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away.
Posteriors and the other is the plural of enhancements to the bodice area
lol. Best to keep a low profile then, Douglas.
monty python for the win
thanks
I literally cackled
I forget what the **** word is in that quote.
If it's moistened, it can't be good.
It's the only time I've ever heard that word.
to be fair, there are a lot to choose from in that skit. Watery tart. Strange women lyin' in ponds.
in that particular case it's a bi4
The day is already a success, having brought laughter to Babble.
Always much appreciated, Douglas. Lots of Monty fans here.
Anyone have a clue for the Sa7/32?
weird word: most of christmas fella + you can be buried in an **n and plural for the 7
Weird indeed. Thank you.
