dors
Appreciated - I guess it'll change again, when the USA ends their summertime.
sorry...
good morning. I couldn't sleep, been up for almost 3 hours
hello Ruby
Hi Ruby - sorry you couldn't sleep.
good morning all
hello flosey
Hi and hugs, Sprite
It was husband's birythday; he would have been 92
Aw - a tough day, I'd imagine.
Gloomy day
*hugs Liz* Hello dear friend! How are you doing? Was the special day very special?
Hope you drank a toast in his honour.
It was fine thanks, Sprite.
Yes
but that made it sadder
More tuneful would've been better but the rest was easy so it was a good day.
Hugs, Ruby.
I am glad, Liz. It took a lot of preparation, I believe.
No, not really!
Not sure what preparation you mean.
Thanks, Liz. It was a day to reminisce and remember the good times
That's the best attitude. To try to focus on the good times you remember.
not sure either, lol. I thought you said you had a lot to do, last time I saw you. Guess I automatically thought it was in preparation for the holiday.
We had a great romance for many years
That was probably before New Year. Before the fast, it's just a meal - though we do stay closer to the synagogue. Now it's time to prepare for the next one on Wednesday evening but taking a break today.
is that Yom Kippur?
It's just generally a busy month.
That was yesterday.
ah, see, I got it all mixed up in my head. I am sorry.
np
Happy to help clarify for you.
thank you
How've you been?
very well, thank you. My beloved treated me to a cinema visit last night, quite unexpectedly. The movie was scary, but being out together was wonderful.
Sounds fun - what movie?
it was IT, after the book by stephen king.
Don't know the movie or the book but I do know Stephen King. Can't say his writing has ever appealed.
Did you get the UK series "Genius" on TV? Fictionalised account of the life of Einstein. Very good.
he has written quite a few really good books. But also quite a few that are a bit over the top as far as the horror level goes. The movie is horror, heavy on yucky things and sudden shocks, way too light on story or characters.
not sure. Will look out for it, sounds interesting.
Probably not my thing then.
It is good - also watching a 6 part documentary on the br5 at the moment. Very understandable and very good.
no, I think it isn't. It wasn't mine either, lol. Still, it was wonderful being out together.
I'm sure it was a lovely evening. OK - time for a break. 300 down. Don't want to go to Lickety yet, so perhaps I'll see more when I come back later. Have a good day. Hugs to you and all.
whew - 250 words but no 10 - any stats ?
hiya ursh
Also don't have the 10 yet! Have 4 nines though.
BBL
hello sprite
Bye Liz, hello Ursh

it does. Silly word, thanks dizzie
WOW my clue helped...lol

oh super, thanks Diz, would never have considered that a word
*hugs flosey* Good evening to you, I hope you have been well.
yes thanks Sprite, and you?
very well, thank you.
woooot found a 9
would love to reach half way tonight but am afraid that would be a bit of a stretch, we'll see
yeah, best to just enjoy playing and when you get tired, just go to bed. I will not finish before going to the meeting today, that is for sure :)
and friends coming over tomorrow morning, so!! we'll see how it goes
'zacly. It is good to remember we play for fun, not work!
so true, and indeed, good to remember
ro4, my darling, join the chog! You are in the grid today, ya know.
one E sh5 for another 10... the state of not being common, plural.
coffee time. Brb with a cuppa. Can I bring anyone else something?
thanks Sprite but not before bedtime
aha, just found another 9
yay found a 9 on my lonesome. hugs sprite. hugs flosey. apologies....but i am deep in the grid....quiet day, just church, then a nanna nap this afternoon. see dr john tomorrow week. sprite sweetie, thanx for your sweet card. i loved it and it's sentiment, my special sister.
just found another 8 - in8, the 9 I found a few minutes ago was ho9
back with coffee, did a quick cleanup of the kitchen
rose!!! *hugssssss* Good to see you, hun. How are you doing? And you are very welcome.
Good morning everyone
i have br9
*hugs Maisie* Hello dear one! How are you today?
I have re9
Fine thank you been adding words but have hundreds of red boxes
How is everyone else
ugh, that is frustrating. It seems to be doing that a lot with big grids. So far so good here, but I am just over halfway so not that long a wordlist yet
I am very well, thank you
I am glad you are going to drJohn tomorrow, ro4. High time!
that coffee is not helping this morning honey. sprite i said tomorrow week. lollll
hey ya maisie xoxox
It's a miserable wet day here so nice to have a big grid
hi Rose
ooh, nice maisie. hot chocolate, toasty warm and a big babble grid. couldn't be better
for once, we seem to have better weather than you, Maisie. There is even a hesitant sun out atm.
tomorrow week? Is that a week from tomorrow?
Would have thought our weather would be similar being fairly close
usually it is, Maisie.
yes sprite. i guess it lost something in the translation.
Perhaps you have this rain to look forward to
yeah, didn't know you could say it like that too. Forgive your dutch soul sister for missing the finer points, lollll
don't you dare share it with us, Maisie!
we had lots of rain yesterday. I prefer to think we are past it :D
Well we don't need it, all my water butts are full, perhaps you sent your rain to us
but rose... another week... that is a long wait still. *hugsss* and I will think of you lots and lots.
lol Maisie, the mind images are killing me!
thanx my darling. i opened up and shared all with don. he has been very supportive and kind.
You are awful - but I like you
oh dear...maisie's butts are full.... time for an enema or two perhaps.
oh wow, I am so proud of you! I know that is not easy for you. And yay for Don for stepping up. Is he feeling well again? Maybe even well enough for (I hardly dare to suggest it) sorting out the photos?
and you are worse!
you know, high, hot and a helluva lot. i recommend milk and treacle. works well.
roflollllll the feeling is mutual, Maisie :D
*smug face* See, rose, you are worse than me.
but you already knew that sprite
yeah but kind things can't be said too often, right?
not difficult to achieve, sugar and spice sprite. i grew up with four brothers.
woooot I got an alliterating name! Sugar and spice sprite... sugar and spice and all things nice... that's me!
whoot ! pa9/60
I still have only the one 9, grin. Slow as ever on the biggie side. Got the 10, thanks to dizzie.
alliterating is an awfully long word to mean starting with the same letter
true, dat. Though 'starting with the same letter' isn't shorter. Just more words.
I think the longest I've got is a 7, You two keep putting me off!
imagine that *evil grin*
now how do we do that i wonder....equally evil grin
can't be us, rose.
Try harder I've got 2 8's
goooooo Maisie! Or rather stay. But you know what I mean.
and I've found a 4 that means butt roflol
hehehe :D
lollll
one of your many waterfilled butts, no doubt
I have 5 in case you're interested lol
mind picture * Maisie's butt's overflowing*
I am. Very. Rose, see them undulate!
You've seen my butt - well almost not that big. Its the top half that overflows with me
I have no doubt you are just as beautiful outside as you are inside, Maisie. Rose, am I right?
If she says yes she's lying
rose doesn't do lies at all
*zips lips, ties fingers*
*crosses eyes* she's abfab, sprite
thought so
Aw thank you Ro 4 thats so nice of you
i was referring to the series. do you want to be Patsie or Eddie?
french trees are not valid. Oh enable, how random art thou.
Is Patsie the drinker - I'll be her
time for me to leave for the meeting. *hugs* to you both, and a hug for Don too. Maisie, have a blessed day! And rose, have a peaceful night and take care of yourself, sweetie. Luvsya.
xoxox dearest sprite.

That's my lot for now, see you all tomorrow. xoxo ro 4/4
xoxox maisie. enjoy your day.
Hello, back to try for a few more
I just ate sweet potato pancakes with sour cream on top for lunch. How fattening is that? LOL
Probably as fattening as the bacon stuffed French toast I had yesterday. But I don't think of food as "fattening". Just good. And that French toast was GOOD.
What does the 10 begin with?
Tries
Whoops
tries
he10/77
The French call French toast "pain perdu". They empty out the middle of stale loaves but never thought of maple syrup
Lickety lists the longest top 3 words at the top of his list
sorry, my friend Pino, just called aand took me to the village for an apéro.
Too funny!
Apéros With Pino...sounds like a French afternoon show.
We sat at the bar and the men started saying that l was "canone" and must have been Something at 20. I said "What do you mean, 20, 40 was better!"
Does the he10 begin like a chicken?!
He's a handsome 50 ish Sicilian who has done some work
for me
(painting, etc.)
Can answer that! No
That brightened the day
Drinks with a handsome Sicilian. That would brighten any woman's day. Speaking of Sicilians, my oldest is on his first trip to Italy. I'm so happy for him.
l love Italy. The village is close enough, via the Mont Blanc tunnel, to have lunch in Aosta. We used to take all our houseguests there, great food and Roman ruins
Where is your son going in Italy,Molly? I've never had enough time there
My son was an art major in college so I'm sure he will appreciate all the fine art there is to see in Italy.
The food is more important than the art (l was an art major, too) but Siena had my favorite art museum
d
Well the food is a major plus to the trip as well. I'm doing virtual tours on line to get an idea of what he might see.
Things have certainly changed; it was hit-or-miss when l was there forthe first time
If he like Italian Renaissance painting, the museum in Siena is wonderful
before computers
<-- very old
I'm just glad he is getting a nice, and well deserved vacation. He is going with a friend, which will make it that much more enjoyable.
I just got the he 10 and was shocked that its in Enable
I'm not. That word generated in 1975 which makes it old enough for Enable to have captured.
Dorens is in the grid today. Someone pass her the Babble tiara if you see her. : D
ea 7/32, pls

he10 is a term created by feminists for the kind of study of the past that focuses on women's experiences, pointing out that the "traditional" study of the past focuses largely on males and what they did.

think its the Portugeuse money. You need to be bilingual to play babble! O r even tri !
terrible that they include so many french, spanish, german and on and on words. not a good game due to this.
and yet 'brane' is not accepted...
No way... It is great! Look on the positive side of it and think of it as learning different languages!
I agree that ENABLE needs to be updated as there are many words that should be valid that are not.
and so many 'archaic' scottish words made not valid!
Happy birthday, Dr. God!!
Is it his actual Birthday, Une or Babble?
real birthday
posted on Facebook :-)
Cool as Babble was born on the 30th September 2003 :-)
