same old same old -
Doren was just in South Africa

Right after I left last April there were horrible fires in Knysna.
no did not know she was here - wonder where she went
Capetown I think
Ruru!!! (Hugs))
Knysna is still trying to recover from those fires and surrounding areas.
hi meliae
Cape Town is 18hour drive from Durban where I live
wow
It looked just horrible. I went to Capetown, the Garden Route, the Little Karoo, and then up to Richards Bay and Hluhlwe, so I missed Durban. It was a wonderful trip!
We did a fair amount of driving but didn't drive all the way to Richards Bay. omg what a teeny airport!
Cape Town is wine country with winter rainfall. They have had almost no rain for two years. Water supply is critical and severe restrictions in place.

*hugs flosey* Good evening to you, dear lady. Are you enjoying your son's company?
having a wonderful time Sprite, thanks
great to hear!
He cooked supper tonight!! Roast beef, etc. I baked the pie
oh wow, sounds delish
they both work so he does the cooking and she does the cleaning - old habits die hard, she tidied up my office!!!
I hope you wanted her to, grin
I was very happy - there's even a bit of bare desk top
:) So your daughter is an archeologist!
lol, daughter-in-law, has always been a very welcome addition to our family. She works as a secretary - this is truly amazing - so did I way back then, but you wouldn't believe it to see my messy desk
yeah, d-i-l, I knew that, sorry. lovely to hear how well she fits into your family.
we've been very lucky with the son's and daughter's choices
my son's choice for the last three years is a wonderful lady too. I hope it will last. Wouldn't mind having her as a permanent part of our family.
3 years, looks possible
indeed. *fingers crossed*

as for my knee, when workcover accept the claim that my knee need attention again, i will go in for another denervation. that could be two months.
roflol @ pigs can fly
that would be great. It really helped you the last time.
don just about exploded with laughter, when i made that remark. as you know, it takes a lot to make him laugh as he knows all the jokes etc
:D
so it is kind of a compliment he laughed so often when here?
sure was hney, it also meant he was totally relaxed with you and Rob.
I am so glad. It was wonderful, the way we all clicked.
how are you doing today, honey? How is the weepiness and how are you painwise and energy-wise?
i am doing okay. not weepy. pain?? uh !! discomfort which expands into full on pain. i have tabs on hand. very tired. i realised my restless legs have taken off. yeah i know. it sound funny but waking up because your legs are thrahing around the bed does not = good leep.
oh lord, will you look at those typos?

I don't know why I keep entering in chat. I can't even see chat. I keep everything minimized. I think the cat does magic!
Involuntary word teleportation. The planets must be misaligned.
I did that all the time when I was a newbie
Cat left in a huff. Everything should be good now. Sorry for the interruption.
Any clue for the 2nd Mi6/24?
NM. Just found it.
just found first one - so knows now which is the second one :)
Mi6/24: like a foul ball.

Can I have stats for any 6, please?
Preferably one I have half a chance of getting without my brain exploding....
heh
well there are 3 ar 6/18s
two are them have just different endings
they all sound italian
They would start with vowels. Sigh.
I know, always a pain
there's a ma6 - when is like a chant or saying that you recite over and over
Found one of them....
mi6 which would like a nick to the slips in cricket...off a wild swing
And the ma - thanks!
there's an mi6 which sounds like a small british care + a sound you make to silence someone
Aaah - I've been in england 29 years - I actually got the cricket reference
and then ty6 - which is a person who governs with impunity and in a meanspirited fashion
alrighty, very good :)
I'm originally from NZ
I know - I looked. Because I'm creepy that way ;)
one of the ar6 also was a record label
Those ARs are killing me. i found one of them...
it's okay I'm an open book :)
2 of them now
Me too ;)
3
It's the small british care mi6 I'm now missing, I think
Aaaand I found it
Thank you!
Car. And it's no longer small (the new ones are so not mi4 - they are maxi, these days)
cool, well that wasn't too bad :)
I have one to be honest

I can at least go to sleep soon without worrying about those 6s :)

I have a Skoda. I call it Yoda. Because.
ah good ol' skodas
They are now - made by VW pretty much
May I have stats for the other Y besides knitting material?

A's are the devil.
don't forget the upper class prefix thingy has 2 genders
I'll never remember them all. It's a thing.
But thank you for that!
Haven't ever seen the nu5/26 before. Word of the day, for me!
A Polish/Yiddish nudge. Always a good idea to brush up on your foreign language skills when attempting to solve these bizarre grids.
lol
i know that word but i never saw it written and that wasn't how my brain had been spelling it
