Not stranded - just getting into the house - not happened before (that I know of ) but this rain system seems considerable and long lasting
and the powers-that -be have actually warned very specifically about our area - thousands of houses involved. ugh
I get it. I live in Houston, where we had 50" of rain from a hurricane this summer. Houses that had never, ever flooded, did. Hopefully a never to be repeated anywhere event!
The weather people are good about warning (and sometimes OVERwarning), so I hope that's what it is for you this time!

My area was fine. 10% of the area homes were affected, which in a city the size of Houston is a lot.
They have over-warned today for this particular spot...but as we watch the radar and the fast approaching rain it is not over-warned now. Near midnight and high-tide which is not good for the canal flooding which is a few doors down from me.

its probably just a reaction from beign off the meds. I would assume when your brain can deal without them that should be when it stops

some drugs are stronger then others too so take that into consideration

Oh, see, I'm the exact opposite. I started the drug and a few weeks after, it was as if someone had taken a towel off my head. Suddenly a weight was gone and I could see.
Sam, you are amazing and that is exactly how it should feel.
It's like, if someone told me that these drugs would cut my lifespan in half, I'd keep taking them, because ad least I'd get to live out my remaining years instead of sleepwalking through them.
I just dont know who i am now in my 50's and after menopause.

Oh yes! There's so much to be gained from our way of looking at the world. There are drawbacks sure bbut people ignore the advantages!
My son really benefited from me having to learn to work with ADHD and so did many of my students. because I had been there. God is great to allow us to pave ways for others, using our experiences, good, bad and the ugly.

True, but that is not how a President gets elected. Until the electoral college thing is re-examined, that will be the case. And we would be in a bad, or even worse shape, if Clinton was elected. We need the parties who put forth candidates to give the voters a decent choice.

Any US citizen has the right to have any opinion they want about politics and how a President gets elected in our country. However, until you get involved in changing that process, it will remain the same. And bitching about it on the internet will not do anything but give you a sounding board.
I agree totally with you Molly. I choose to stay out of the chat because all too often differing opinions crop up and someone forgets that a different opinion does not make you an idiot. Two topics I do not discuss,,,,religion and politics. My parents taught me "if you can't say somethiing nice, don't say anything." Now! Someone can tear me up for that.
