I'm in the US Iowa and it's 16 here this morning, which is like a heat wave!

I don't get why it's so cold over there, and not here. We haven't had any snow yet. In fact we're not even getting frosts, which is a problem. Plants are budding and even flowering months too early. I'm a little worried my fruit trees won't produce anything this year. If they flower too early, they get hit by frost and don't produce fruit...
If I could, I would gladly send all this frigid crap anywhere but here. I am sick and tired of it.

No kids, but we do have a dog. I am hoping to be able to share custody of the dog with him. It will be devastating not have him with me at all times. He is my whole life!

Actually,we got the dog from his sister. We took the dog over when she did not have the means to take of him, so he came from his side of the family. I have 2 share him.
Although I've been the main provider for the dog, he has just as much right the dog as I do. He loves the dog also.
I'm sorry Min. From what you have said here, you have taken care of everything a hundred times over. I don't think you should have to share that dog with someone who has made life so difficult for you.
I don't think so either,but it really is not worth the fight.

yep. It's been cold here; and the wind chill has made it even more miserable too.
I've been holed up inside this week;I had thumb surgery on Wednesday & it has given me an excuse to stay inside. :-)
Actually, I did not lift a finger to shovel. Hubby did all of the snow blowing. I've only been out to take out my dog.
(I'm a lefty, & it was my left thumb. The cast/splint goes from my fingers to my elbow; it's going to take 3 months to heal)

Wow, U R a lefty? I have always been fascinated with people who are left-handed. Did U know that before DT,the last 4 Presidents were left handed?I can name all the celebrities who are left handed as well. I also tried to make myself become left-handed when I was a little kid. Still wish that I was a left-handed person.
LOL, Min; that's funny! I guess my 2nd grade teacher tried to make me right-handed; that really messed me up that year.
My aunt who raised me from 3rd grade on was a teacher & (at that time) county Supt. of Schools. She saw how bad I was doing with writing & eating & she straightened me out right away. She told me to turn my paper the correct way; forget about using my right hand for writing or eating; etc. Had beautiful writing when I was younger.
