Rob has decided we are not going camping and canoeing this weekend. The friend we would have been traveling with decided against it and Rob followed. I am kinda glad, because ugh... minus 10 Celsius is cold, snow is cold and wet, and it is overcast, no summer sun at all. But Rob is taking it hard. In his burned-out state he cannot manage disappointments very well.

eggs are the worst for cleaning up. So sticky. Back when I was a student, I cleaned to augment my monies. The lady of the house fed her cats one-day-chicklets, dripping in egg yolk. She just mopped up the worst of it with a paper towel, and left the rest for me. It was horrible.

Scrabbler, thought of you today. A local fundraising event is called 'paint n bunnies'. People can snuggle with a bunny for inspiration, then paint their version of one on a rock or a canvas. Seems like a fun idea as long the bunnies are not stressed.
I believe it is a touring exhibit -- only in Boston for a few weeks, and tickets are required

you make a lot of sense to me --- was wondering because I was not a fan of the idea (I am a retired teacher) and it seemed to me that nobody was asking the students how they feel
ik, but my parents are for teachers having guns, as long as they are thoroughly checked out
one of my teachers are for it, and one of the is against it, the one who says they are against it says "the day they let teachers carry guns, the day i leave the profession"
that teacher says that they will jump in front of the kids to protect them, but my parents basically say since that teacher doesn't want to carry a gun because they are a coward
I do think it is a dangerous situation -- what is to stop someone from taking the teacher by surprise, overpowering him/her, grabbing the gun and start firing? Most people are not trained to handle firearms in a hostile situation --- that takes years of ongoing training and practice.

my brother got the surgery, and he is just as annoying as before

I was raised by my aunt after my mom died; my aunt was a school teacher; & i think that she's probably rolling over in her grave about all of this! There is no reason teachers should be armed; and having that 1 teacher lock himself in a school room and shoot a gun (even if it was*just* out of a window) shows exactly why teachers shouldn't have them.
I love this game; I've been playing it since 2005 - almost as long as you've been alive! I haven't been on much lately because I had hand surgery (for arthritis) & couldn't type very well. Of course, some would say I didn't type well before my surgery either! ;-)

Getting an education is the most important thing a young person can do to make their future better. If a kid drops out of school & later gets a GED, many business people will pass them by because they figure that this applicant couldn't follow directions or else doesn't get along with others.
