Not too late probably because even if they show signs, if started within 48 hrs of illness then they will have fewer complications. I would not hesitate to use Tamiflu for them. How old are they?

Rabbits are prey animals so they are instinctually skittish, but some more than others. I am happy that he comes over to me to get a pet.

I think politics and religion and other things should be allowed to be discussed here as long as people consider there are other points of view and allow them without being so aggressive about it like I've seen
I do agree with a comment I saw before about passive aggressive behavior. No form of aggression belongs here. At risk of being ridiculed again for asking for pleasant conversation, I do think civility should be maintained no matter what. Cybernan, there is a lot being done. the US constitution gives us a variety of ways of offsetting the power of the president. The congress is not being very effective but the judiciary and state/local governments are having a greater impact. I understand your frustration but this may not be the place for it.

I guess one of the things I really like about Aus, is that it's compulsory to vote.
In the UK it's easy just to stay at home and not vote.

You can always spoil a ballot paper if you don't want to support any candidates.
I didn't like it at first but I'm used to it now.
Sadly there's no box for "I really don't like any of the candidates". However an informed decision not to vote can also end up in a result that many are unhappy with.
It's a shame there's no way to distinguish between informed decisions and apathy.

I think the Democrats in this country were stunned that they could put Hilary up against anyone and she would lose. There was very little understanding of how tired the American voters were of the lame 8 year President that was leaving office.

There is talk here of replacing our "first past the post" voting system to a "rating" system, which as I understand it just means that the most mediocre person wins. Proponents say that it allows for a greater variety of interests being represented --- just what we need - there isn't enough bickering in parliament now?!

The political parties vote for a leader. At an election whichever party has the most seats is the winner and their leader becomes the leader of the government.
The problem comes when some ridings have millions of people voting but still only get one or two representative and other areas with far fewer voters get the same representation. It does not seem fair.

The worst thing about this storm is that we had a major storm last week which caused a lot trees to come down and a lot of flooding on the coast. Some people got their power back just in time for this storm.
