There was about an hour of sun yesterday early evening, but it's still at freezing during the night. Not terrible, but l'd surely enjoy some sunshine.

Oh I agree about Spring taking forever to get here. Although USA got hit bad this year we also had a bad time but not so much where I am which was a blessing.
Someone said (and I tend to agree) that we have been spoiled by early Springs in previous years.
Yes a lot of plants were in that stage of coming into life when the bad weather hit and kllled a lot of them off.
Many people have today off, so my commute should be easier than usual. That is a plus.

A lot of people have or took the day off around here it being Good Friday and the beginning of Passover. And it is NEVER too early for whiskey. Especially Irish whiskey.

I have a large bay window, and put the feeder far enough from each side that no squirrels could get it. I also put some dark stickers around the feeder, so the birds don't bump the glass

oh I hope that will help bea --- maybe that is just what she needs. There are advantages to living in a senior complex though. We just moved into a 55+ gated community and love it --- our social calendar hasn't been this busy since before my husband retired! This is something we should have done 10 years ago
I think it will help. It will take a lot of stress off of her. We talked about it last yea when I was out there. At that time, she said she would like to move in with us when she could no longe live alone.
Hello everyone. Nan - we're in a 55+ building as well. Best thing we did. We have 12 people in the building who are over the age of 90. Most of them say that their longevity is a direct result of living in this community.

every strange word in the dict, but not mirin?? I cook with it all the time.
have 3 words I just can't seem to monkey... yi4,6 - yo4,6 - and that darn ey5. But must go finish the matzoballs and the 4 (!) varieties of soup: chicken soup w/matzoballs; chicken soup w/gluten free matzoballs; vegan soup w/matzoballs; vegan soup w/gluten free matzoballs. Reminds me of that Roz Chast Thanksgiving cartoon!!
