Oh f*ing geez, it's not tomorrow like the surgeon said, the appt isn't till June 22 or something ridiculous. I'm going to be on the phone tomorrow asking what the hmmm is going on with them.
not exactly soaking... lol... but on Mondays will have an hour of water exercises, and then on Thursdays 1 1/2 hours gym.
I love water exercise! Easy because the water holds me up. I wish I had a pool to use. I did water exercises at therapy in their fill-up thing. It really worked well after I busted up my foot.
oh my Lord !! himself must be just about hopping out of his skin. who made the blunder? i would think the surgeon would have been correct and not the practice manager who thinks it should be June 22nd.
He took it well. I was actually amazed! I'm hopping mad. I think maybe he's not quite ready yet? He said he thinks he needs to heal up more - after all, it has only been about 3 weeks since they put the controller in, and he is still sore.
yes he will still be a bit sore...after all there was a hole in his skull. but the sooner the controller starts doing it's job the better. i would think the pain he is having is probably the last of the bruising.
His head seems to be ok, it's the battery pack in his chest that seems to be bothering him. Of course, he tried to use his weed whacker harness and it hurt. He knew it wouldn't work out, but still tried. He's keeping busy, though. He has made several arrows and is working to complete a set. They're beautiful!
I just have to give him kudos for being brave and unstoppable!

i agree Kam, he is one amazing man. but... taking good care of oneself post-op is also good.
An acre in the Sierra foothills of Calif needs lots of weed whacking! He has hired two different guys to come do what he couldn't. Now he's trying to keep the rest under control. Rains have stopped, so the weeds will die soon.
He actually is following doc's orders...80% of normal. I don't think doc knew what 100% was! Doc is only about 40ish.

I know, lol! He is taking good care, relatively speaking. He rests a whole lot more than he used to. I'm not worried about him overdoing, but I think he is, so he won't, ya know?!! He's only 63, not at all ready to slow down. Now, if I can just get that programming appt moved up...

My son has an excellent case manager, and the county worker is doing all they can. He is about to move into a non-prfit group home where his rent will be 30% of income. He had been in a for-profit home that underpaid its workers and fed the residents ramen all for north of a grand a month.
