OMG, I cannot believe a word that is allowed. . .
well when things go wrong i always say, "oh, bother", so, i've got that part down
It's a word. Not a nice word to use but still a word.
yup... it's there...
Do you like honey?
dictionaries don't judge, they just report what's out there.
okay, melon...give over... what is the draned lione E?

ooops. I missed that!
those word games are overly paternalistic
I don't like the word but I dislike censorship more.

Okay first run through and I have 65 words left. I swear I am getting getting worse at this game. Is this correct grammar? 'getting worse' Oh I do not know! Think I will take a break. Happy babbling everyone!
((zzoozz))
ls it cold there?
l'm freezing this AM!
Morning Ruby. Seems like Zoom just jumps in, makes an announcement and jumps out these days.
Hello, Molly. What has happened to the fearsome friends? They're much less visible these days.
My friend just arrived and even though i'd rather not leave the house, we're going out to lunch.
wow...both tu4/6 and cr4/6...what a poopy grid
not to mention the c word....always feel foul typing that, especially here at school

im guarding the bathrooms again....so thriling
Guarding them against what?
lololol state testing today, only one customer at a time in there
Ah!
the kids are flying through the tests, which bums me out - I HATE my third period class, was hoping to be here through that one
Tests are too easy?
I prefer to think the kids have been adequately prepared, hahaha
gotcha!
the science tests are today, and they should prove quite telling, actually. The science standards were completely redone last year, so these test results will actually yield some useful data (SHOCK)
What state are you in - I mean geographically
Are you bideting your time trif?
LOLOL massachusetts
Maybe she's just stalling
Lol ori!!!
hahaha ruru. the much bigger nuisance is the jet powered hand dryers -- the bathrooms have no outer door, so it's pretty much like sitting on a runway
I see your state is #1 in education ranking. Is that because of MIT and Harvard?
you guys are such blow-hards
<-- hoping i'm not late to the pun party
nope. Harvard and MIT are excellent because the public schools in massachusetts do a GREAT job. The Common Core national standards are based on our state ones. (smug)
Are these test conducted di-urinal-ly?
they are probably set up as streams
Very Excellent! Is Mass. a Republican or Democratic state?
Dem all day and night.
Interesting......
in my town, even the catholics are WASPS
ahahahaha
we do have a redneck element, but even they are more liberal than even they now
know

the massachusetts ones certainly are

im not offended im just surprised its in there
the 1980s movie Better Off Dead with John Cusak has a scene in that vein
the official tournament word list has it, but Hasbro, which controls the scrabble dictionary for the US, filters out many of the offensive words
well some kids play scrabble so makes sense
yes, wouldn't do for them to get on the offensive list
well, need to do some stuff...enjoy the board

Hi Nef, nan, Molly, and lib :)
But at least you can say you got your raised bed done (I don't think I finished anything today except fixing supper & cleaning up the kitchen)
Hi Kate
wasn't just that - also helped to plant 2 shrubs and finish installing and underground watering system
Many thought this grid a little unfriendly.
I did manage to talk my husband into agreeing to spend a whole lot more for landscaping than he'd ever have wanted to do before.
that's a heck of a lot for one day nan!
yes -- you don't want to know what it cost to have the wall for the raised bed built!
but, do you have to do the work Nef?
not seeing the sick part
oh -- got it now
wasn't putting the c n
like cream to get rid of pee stains instead of ac4/5 ;)
*!* - that's it - going to make supper and watch TV - activities that do not require brain power!
I can guess, I bet! We had a landscape guy here today who wanted to spend $25,000 on our front lawn today! (and our front lawn is your basic 1950's 100 foot X maybe 60 feet deep!
Congratulatins nan, hagn!
ouch -- find another landscape guy!
YAY, Cybernan! WTG!!! (now go rest your weary body!)
Does he think yu're made of money? I wonder what he wanted to do to merit that ind of moola?
Don't worry, we did! (And we live in your very normal 1950's suburban area; nothing fancy at all!)
trying to get his season off to a flying start? ;)
the guy who does it has to take out some huge overgrown evergreen bushes and the elm tree roots that are exposed & the City didn't remove when they took the huge diseased elm out. They need to use some big equipment for those 2 jobs.
our landscaper charged $90/hr for his timer & equipment, $20/hr for his labourer plus materials. The problem being, he wouldn't give us an estimate, just how long he thought it would take --- turned out to be more than double the time he estimated.
Kate, he's also doing some work in a very rich gated community not too far from us; he's doing 2 jobs there for $75 K and $100 K; I just think he got carried away looking at those numbers.
anyway it's done and time to let go --- bye everyone - have a good evening
Nef, can't you get the city to remove stump and surface roots if you kick uo a bit of a stink? (squeaky wheel)
Niters, nan; hope you sleep well & aren't too sore tomorrow!
As long as he did a very good job that stands the test of time nan... and like you say - it's finished now and you can enjoy the new yard!
Kate, theytook out as much of the roots as they could at the time. It was close to 70 years old, and they ground down the trunk as far as they could; that was about 5 years ago
Probably right Nef... some people ... I will leave it at that
nef, you can get5 stump rotter accelerator... you drill a few holes in the wood and stump, put the stuff in and it works.. takes a few years though - unless you drill lots of holes... fine for critters.
We plan to seel our house next year; right now I told my husband I'm embarrassed because our front yard is so overgrown. And especially today; all of the neighbor yards are so neat & tidy & I don't even have a mower (& the dandylions are so thick that our lawn almost looks like it's supposed to be yellow!)
sell, not seel
We got a ton of dandelions this year too... millions of them... ugh! You either need a mower or a lawn service if you haven't got a willing teenager locally..YOu do want to get on top of that because curb appeal is such a big thing. It sets the mood for the viewers.
yes; we had a lawn service last year for mowing, etc. but when we said that we're redoing the landscaping; no one wants just a month or so contract.
(We are lookingfor a local kid who wants to mow lawns; haven't found one yet. but then again; less than a month ago we had 2 1/2 feet of snow)
greedy buggers.... unless you are redoing the entire lawn, it will still need mowing and weed killer applications. I don't get it....unless you plan to resod?
How about teens or grandkids to do the mowing?
We are going to resod, and new topsoil too.
(Slave labor)
Our only grandson is 9; and I don't have a mower at present
post some notes at the local store bulletin board or call some service agencies like Sally Ann... many hve set up casual work boards for youths
So, you just need to get through htis season... can you not just do the resodding now and get the mower service in for the season? Now is a good time before it gets too hot for grass to take well
We've had a very late and cool spring until this week. and all of a sudden it's hot and things grew like crazy
It might be time to pull the mama card Nef... are your kids nearby?
they are in town, our son lives here with his son but we still need a mower. I may have to gage it back from my daughters' home across town, huh?
Same here Nef... we hit 84F today.. it was still 80 at 7PM! (just hoping for cool nights; this apartment gets incredibly hot)
(I was hoping to find some boy scouts in the neighborhood trying to earn money for scout camp. Usually they have notices up and in church bulletins about that; but I haven't seen any yet
ya... if you have access to a mower I wouldn't buy one for a year (depending on where you plan to live next.. will mower still be needed) either you or a kid can ferry mower over when convenient.
keep looking Nef - like you said, we got a late start to spring. Call local boy scouts and girl scouts before they break for summer.. don't leave that tooo long.
I've decided that we need senior housing of 1 sort or another; something that also has assisted living because of DH; his MSmakes it harder & harder for me to move him when he falls (which is why I asked our son to ove in last year).
That makes perfect sense Nef... and someone in to help during the day... will you have to apply and go on waiting lists?
Idea.... do you already have a realtor? I am sure they will be able to line you up with someone...the more the house sells for...$$$
down to 4... all Cs
Go, go kje!!!!
I'm just starting to look, Kate. A few places do have waiting lists; 1 place said if you don't take the first place they offer you, you get dropped to the bottom of the list again!
We do have a realtor, he's a friend who sold DH's aunts condo they left to us; & helped my daughter find her house. I think that's a great idea; I will check with him
cr7?
GO, kje!!
I don't have it yet but will look
Now... if that's the case, what is their rule on moving to a more desirable unit whenit opens up BEFORE it is offered to wait list..in my experience, with apartments, they say they willl relocate you asap, but never do because they have to have 2 units open and refurbished. lying weasels... if you can wait for what you want, not the first thing that pops up
have you talked to the social worker wherever you/he are getting your healthcare? they often know the options well and also often know clients experiences there bc they hear things... might want to meet with them
CR 7/32 ends in the dark hours
dark time (not pl)
Thanks, Kate

SW would be a great resource.. and know the ins and outs of which places are well maintained and have good in-house staff for personal support workers etc.
the 6 right after the 7 was my last
and kje; that's a good idea too. We do have a very good system here called Senior Linkage that also is able to help find out & assist seniors with these types of things; that's where I got a booklet about the different options available
Well done kje!!!! congrats - especially getting that CR 6... we were musing earlier how to clue that nasty word well...
YAY, kje!!! WTG!!!
sounds liek a great place to start.. they may even be able to hook you up with a lawn mower person!
Umm, how about severe prenatal hypothyroidism affecting mental functioning and physical growth? I'm*sure* all the Babblers would get that clue, right?
Great point, Kate! I hadn't thought of that yet!
ok, I'm off to wrap up some emails and hopefully get to bed early tonight. take care
never heard of it Nef... seriously! definition i saw said bulbous plant
Niters, kje! And thanks for the ideas!

I gave the definition for the cr 6/21 ; you gave the definition for the cr7

CR 5/18..my great, great granmoter's maiden name ;) or... C + nice cut of beef for a roast? (rear end)
with Nef's clues, that is all of them
sorry; got interrupted by my son.The 3 generations of males in this house are all ADHD; I'm the only"normal" one here. So my son wants to know where *his* son's papers are for the black belt written test so he can study them for the test -- tomorrow night!
Yeppers; *i'm* supposed to know everything and keep track of looose papers . I told my son that HE is supposed to be organized for his son; it's not my responsibility! (& grandson should have been studying this before tonight anyway!)
smh...
correct response Nef... you are not in charge of grandbaby's day to day stuff.. and right - should have been studying before the last night!
but... the momma's always supposed to know everything, right? ;) time for some nice chamomile tea?
Geesh, Nef! You already paid your dues.
It's time for them not to live with us any more *I* think. (Among a few other thoughts). And maybe some tea would help too. (Hi ori)
A cuppa always helps :-)
I like some orange pekoe tea; chamomile might put me to sleep on a night like this
(Geez, there sure a bunch of C words, aren't there?
Orange pekoe is my favorite.
My favourite is orange pekoe too. NOt really fussy on the herbal teas. did have a nice orange and spice one once.. but based on black tea; not herbal stuff I think it was called Constant Comment
Constant Comment is nice. I do drink herb tea at night. Spicy orange stuff.
Well Nef... if you go into senior living place, son and grandson will have no choice but to be on their owm. Sounds like this id the gear up to fledge year.
Nef - can't get into WWF. I think my laptop is dying.
pours a cuppa for origami before she melts down ;)
I like Constant Comment too. If you *really* like herbal teas a lot; there are 2 that I love: Evening in Missoula and als Montana Gold. Both of them I can get at a specialty tea shop here; but I first had them out in Montana (& my siblings have sent them to me too).
Thank you, Kate :-)
I will go off and look them up Nef
LOL! I totally agree that this is the year to fledge;Kate
I hope you can find them where you live, Kate; they are both very scrumptious!
Every time they come through the door you should be watching "Failure to Launch." Hint, hint :-)
Chamomile, rosehips, raspberry leaf, papaya leaf, peppermint, spearmint, blackberry leaf, passion flower, red clover, star anise, wild cherry bark, lemon peel, wintergreen, lavender, stevia, vanilla extract, wintergreen extract. Everything but the kitchen sink and lots of mint.. this is Evening in Missoula
LOL! the son works from home (QA specialist for some small computer program companies); so it would be hard to watch it wverytime he walks in the door
My late husband used to love Sleepy Time Herb Tea. Mostly chamomile, mint and lemongrass. He drank gallons of the stuff :-)
Montana Gold: Cinnamon, bush tea, orange peel, cloves, and extracts of: cinnamon, orange, and clove.
Kate, I'm not a big fan of mint; but this tea doesn't tast minty
I like Sleepy time too (I like it better than chamomile) and I'd give it to our kids when they had stomach aches & were old enough for it
From ingredient list, I think I'd go with the Montana Gold...but it's herbal... I find that I need 2 bags to make a cup... it gets out of my price range
BRB; teapot is squealing
I like lemongrass origami, that one might be nice
Sleepytime is pretty tasty. It has a cute bear in a nightcap on the package if I remember, also :-)
And my husband's nickname was "Bears."
Yep.
I know the package ori, a friend of mine like it.. night time teddy bear n front :D" love that DH's nickname was bears!
Kate, use loose tea instead of teabags & use a tea ball. A little bit of loose tea goes farther than the bags do (the bags often are the dusts and fine powders without much flavor.) And don't over fillthe tea ball; the tea leaves need to expand to get a better flavor
My favorite all purpose caffeinated tea is Red Rose. I wonder if it comes loose. I should look.
Ori, why was he nicknamed "Bears" (plural)? We've a a friend or 2 that were nicknamed Bear because of their stocky build & gentle personalities
I don't know where the "s" came from. Actually, I remember where the bear came from. It was 41 years ago :-)
Serious lagging going on here. I'm going to sign off and go fold some laundry and take a book to bed. Happy babbling.
*actually don't remember ...
IDK if I've ever had "red Rose" tea before; Dh is currently drinking red tea "Rooibos Tea" which he says is rather weak ; IDK how he found this one.
We have some Iranian friends who introduced us to Sadaf special blend tea with Earl Grey which is much better than most of the Erl Grey teas I've had
Red Rose used to cme loose vac-packed like coffee in the grocery store. Haven't noticed it lately though.. I used to drink Tetley, but REd Rose had a flavour/richness adjustment and is cheaper, so I'm drinking that now.
Don't care for weak teas and can't stand Earl Grey... I guess it's the bergamot. Tastes like weak dish water to me. I have had some nice specialty teas (caffeinated, not herbal)
That's why I don't usually like Earl Grey tea also the Bergamot is too strong. But this Iranian tea (Sadaf) doesn't have that cloying aftertaste of bergamot
REd Rose is a British Tea name Nef - don't know if you have it in your neck of the woods..CAnada, NZ, Oz, UK...
Hello, another anti-bergamot vote here... *yuck face* I drink red rose, or "paned cymraeg" or any of several teas from Murchie's. ;-)
Hi stid! How are you?
The red rose sold in the states comes with a little figurine from the Wade pottery
Honestly Nef, I am not doing well. Having a full-on panic attack that almost nothing is fixing.
If it's a british tea name, Kate; it should be here. After all, Canada is Minnesota's next door neighbor! ;-)
damn Babble keeps freeziong and I have tjo reload, not jsut refresh...
Oh, No, stid! Is the teaching getting to you?
((stiddie!!!))
REd Rose came with those figurines for decades, but they stopped in the 80s here <very sad face> my granmother had windowsills full of them!
yes nef, testing season, you know and the stress of it all (and then my students fall apart and I might have overstepped when trying to figure out how to help a particular student)... this is why I never considered medicine. I am completely overwhelmed right now and ready to resign. :-(
Actually, Red Rose was originally Canadian, and different blends are now sold by different companies in Canada and the U.S.
It used to be advertised in Canada with people saying in British accents "Only in Canada, you say? Pity."
I knew you would love me anyway... and as far as I know there is only one babbler who knows me at school so I think it's okay to come here to cry. Tom made lovely orange chicken tonight, and Wally is squished between the sofa and the table to be as close to me as possible. I am surrounded by love and completely out of my head. Even drumming only helped temporarily (and it had to be unmuted today). Self-talk is not my friend.
*regains composure* this looks like a tricky grid.
YOu've been going through a bumpy period stiddie.. and testing would try the patience of a saint. Just breathe. I wish some of the school funding wasn't based on results for you. Taht puts a lot of pressure on students and teachers. Hang in there.. this has been a long year, but you are alnmost home free.
stid; it's so hard to put kid through this stupid testing process. I didn't think it bothered my 9 year old grandson until his teacher sent a video (via seesaw) and I saw all of the kids cheering when they were told the tasting is done for this year!
(((((Kate))))) thank you
<waves to Gillie <3 >
(((((Nef))))) yep
Hello Gillie
Hi, sorry to interrupt.
You're right... I remember that now Gillie... but they do have it all over the commonwealth now.
Hi Gillie; not trying to ignore you
No problem.
stid; you have invested too much into your job right now. Remember when I once told you you HAD to leave school at school (you were going in early & staying late so everything would be perfect for the next day/week/ month?
Try to let it go stiddie... that kid you were trying to help... dopn't worry - you did your best. It is done try to look ahead NOT BACK...look where you're going not where you've been. the kid will be fine. You will be fine. JUST BREATHE. It's an easy coast to the emd of the year comparatively.... sounds like story time might be in order for class.
yes, and you also know how panic attacks are not related to cognition... :-( I TOLD myself to let go as soon as it appeared, but... a panic attack hits and then looks for the reason. And once it finds one it is really hard to stop perseverating. Which I know, so intellectually I am "okay" but the flight/fight hormones are rampant and I cannot stop twitching. Which would be great if I were all alone, I'd put in ear plugs and bang on the cymbals.
BREATHE. *facepalm* of course! THAT's what I was forgetting... *rolls eyes at Kate* truthfully, I was. Thank you. A few deep breaths and it will help. I might cry with relief now.
Are you physically well enough for a little walk.. take Wally out and look at the stars... ponder the vast expanse...
When you reach the point that you are strung out; it's time to find a nice quiet place in the garden & just go lay down in the shade and run your fingers through the moss and breathe in the clean air & watch the grass grow for a while.
Wally and Grant took me out earlier, but I bet they could take me out again. I will see if they can do it again (if the mosquitos are not also out!). Thank you.
And I am looking forward to an IKEA trip with mother on Saturday.
I always think that the closer to Nature we can get when we are stressed the better we feel afterwards.
7-4-2... I have to look it up... it really does help// It's like breathe in through nose for count of 7 hld breathe for count of 4 , exhale for count of 6 through nout h... it REAQLLYworkd.. I hav ehte wrong numbers.. bI am going to look for it now
I need substantial help to be in the garden these days, unfortunately. But in a few weeks we should have the ground level enough for me to navigate solo again.
Gillie, how far are you in the grid? I found 53 so far.
but hitting the wall early it seems. any help for that E in the top right? or the i on the left?
to help let it go.. write something bothering you.. like student's name on a piece of TP..a nd flush it.. you will physically get rid of it.. it can be a help.
:-) Kate you are amazing.
stid; do you remember years ago here on Babble and you'd have a storytime and we'd all pretend to be little kids gathering around you? You are a marvelous story-teller; maybe that is what you need to do
LOL Nef. I am surprised you remember. Thank you for the compliment!
The 4-7-8 (or Relaxing Breath) Exercise The 4-7-8 breathing exercise is utterly simple, takes almost no time, requires no equipment and can be done anywhere. Although you can do the exercise in any position, sit with your back straight while learning the exercise. Place the tip of your tongue against the ridge of tissue just behind your upper front teeth, and keep it there through the entire exercise. You will be exhaling through your mouth around your tongue; try pursing your lips slightly if this seems awkward. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four. Hold your breath for a count of seven. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight. This is one breath. Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths.
maybe think back in those stories
The most recent story I told went something like this. Once upon a time, there was a lovely ogre named "Susy" who lived in a dank castle in the middle of a smelly swamp. ;-) The kids loved it, particularly "Susy" who was having a rough day.
the e on the right uses the high point letter(s) & ends up in the top ro towards the left
Kate -- it worked! OMG, you are a literal lifesaver tonight!
oh, I should have brought my fishing rod for that fish, thanks Nef!
So you still have the story telling skills, stid!
tiny url video for breathing... stiddie THIS REALLY WORKS and you can do it anywhere https://tinyurl.com/ohn2doj
it's a cartoon video.. but it looks good am almost finished watching it....
LOL I love it!
okay, now at 64 words. (I love the character with the adenoid issue)
ooh! NBT!
top right E EQ 5/18 to kit out?
We used to teach a tpye of relaxed breathing to patients who had severe emphysema & came in in respiratory distress. very similar; but we'd tell them that they had to blow gently and imagine a flame in front of them and they couldn't exhale fast enough for the flame to blow out or (later) flicker.
I am sending myself the cartoon so I can show it to the kids at school. :-) We're having a movie tomorrow afternoon, but I think it will come in handy as a morning relaxing moment.
It workd even if you're not stressed... tricks your brain into releasing endorphins and such...even if you feel good, you will feel better after doing it!
when I have had really bad asthma problems (like last August with the smoke from Canada) I really had to focus on my breathing even with the hepa filter.
I remember story time :) You are very imaginiative.. I want to know how Sust the Ogre made out after a bad day... you can tell us some other time.
pretty cool cartoon
if you focus on breathing as a regular thing.. it gets very difficult.. you shoud only focus on breathing for a few minutes at a time.. somehow our brains don't like autonomic funtions to be handled consciously
there were other videos...
Oh! Nef! I saw a different doc a couple months ago (for non-asthma) and he did the asthma checklist and realized I was needing my rescue inhaler too much. He prescribed beclamethasone and now I get almost 100 more on my puffer (spirometer) when I use it than before. :-)
Great news, stid! sometimes overdoing something (like a rescue inhaler) causes more problems than we realize
do you feel like it's easier to breathe now?
I had no idea that using it more than once a day or needing it more than a couple times a week was unusual. It's like all these times that I learn that I should have used the stupid epipens... I didn't know it worked for things like induration (a term that same doc taught me on that last visit). Sometimes I really am a nube!
beclomethasone? that's a corticosteroid... and helping your nose helps your breathing? wow!
It is SO much easier to breathe! I can even run almost 600 feet at a time when my joints cooperate. It's WONDERFUL!
What do you call a small fish that is running late?
LOL! :-) I LIKE this new doc of yours stid!!!
*drumroll*
*whisper* a tardine *ducks from glares*
waiting.....
Ummm??
ARGH!!!
*giggle*
tosses rotten tomatoes and HERRING at stiddie ;D
where's ruru when I need him? This was definitely a two-groan joke!
LOL Kate
ruru has been AWOL for most of today - I haven't seen him at all...
yep; I'd definitely say a 2 graoner
haven't seen pen either :/
I just tried it out on Tom, he liked it, too.
:D ROFL
he did pop in and said something once this evening;
hm. pen is usually on this time of day (I lurk occasionally)
oh, s he's just bust.. maybe finished the grid last night at the flip?
*busy
haven't seen pen or Natasha at all....
Pen was on around 5 or so I think
They'll probably come in again soon. Less than an hour to flip.
I don't think many people liked this grid
oh, I must have missed her... moolingwa was trying to start a pun fest, thought that would bring ruru out, but, NOPE...
It's been a fairly quiet chog - not a lot of check-ins.. it was a grid to make people grumpy. How are you coming along Stiddie?
it's a toughie, but thanks to you I will get at least halfway, which is good enough for a thursday
I think a lot of people aren't on at the usual times anymore; we seem to all be more sporadic I think lately.
up to 81 now
I knew that the mental challenge and the chat would help.
woot!
(((Stid))) :-)
gives you something to focus on... keep yur brain occupied so you aren't beating yourself up mentally over *nothing* (inthe grand svheme of things...) methinks stiddie thinks she must be perfect asll the time.. I'm here to tell yu that you are allowed to be human with all the foibles and little failures that come with learning how to navigtae life..
there have been a lot not in the chat the last couople of days, but today it was really apparent...
:-) Thanks Kate. You always know what I need to hear.
Unfortunately, I've never met or been a perfect person yet. We all strive for it; but never quite make it there.
I am afraid I scared Gillie off. :-(
DID YOU HEAR IT??? take it to heart? It IS true...
Gillie will come back.. I'm sure she knows she is welcome (another for the Canuck contingent!!)
YES. I heard it. Silly Kate. Of course I listened AND I heard.
Do you need to stand in front of a mirror and tell yurself that? Just wondering... <3
I don't understand why french words work sometimes.. Why does french for "book" count? (li 5/16)
*bops kate with chocolate noodle*
because it is also an old French weight and coin = to one ounce of silcver backin the 1700s

:-) I love learning these new things.
???? I would NEVER have found that one! Wow...
:D Go, go stiddie!
thank you Kate; I don't know French, but I did know the other word! :-)

EP 7/40 one who enjoys fine food and wine etc.
I would like to know - I haven't seen her.. and have been off FB for wquite a while now. I knew something a while ago, but it was to be kept under hat...
How is she doing? I haven't heard for a while either
She is doing well, and visiting with her son a bit. I chatted with her on fb for a bit. I think she'll be online again soon -- I don't know if she has computer access at the moment (she was on fb with her phone tonight).
Let her know we've missed her; a lot.
Hi stid... I have been babbling more often recently and not chatting much, but wanted to say hi to you. =)
TY stiddie. I will make a point of going to FB jsut to send her a message...or (ugh) e-mail....
I will Nef, thanks.
Hi o2
***Hugs o2b*** so good to "see" you. Hope you are well?
I am well, and you? I'd forgotten what a unique group this is... glad to be back, even if I'm quiet.
Hi TK
<waves hello> nice to meet you o2b :)
Hi o2ba, nice to "see" you
I am having a decent year, though a bit rough at the moment. I have a "new" dog. He's been with us a couple months more than a year. Wally is my icon right now.
Hi Nef =) Nice to meet you too TK.
CR 7/32 + seeing vowel and the dark time when people sleep
Aw, I had a Wally back when I first started babbling. He's handsome. Sorry you are having a rough patch... hugs to you.
I have a whole new crop of dogs now, and competing with 3 of them at once... I think I've lost my mind.
EN 6/21 besotted, perhaps? completely engrossed
thanks, o2b Wally is the reason I can run short distances again. He's built for speed. Between the two of us we manage a good pace going uphill (I slow him down, he keeps me moving!).
oh boy! I bet they are wonderful to see in action. :-) Do you ever make it up our way (Salish Sea/Pac NW)?
(yay for the Wallys of the world that keep us moving forward)
Not recently, though I used to go to Seattle annually for an event there. I get to Cali semi regularly, Chicago area annually... TX... depends on where the comps I like are held. We have a big qualifier this weekend here in Denver, so wish me luck!
TK, you are a very good cluer.
figners crossed, o2b! :-) And with that silliness, I shall take my 120 words with NBT and NBS and say thanks to you all who helped this evening. Sweet dreams of choclits, and hope to see you this weekend. *poof*
Bye stiddie, ty for dropping by! You can do this - you can do anything.. one step at a time <3 ((stiddie))
stid, what kind of dog is he? My daughter has a bulldog/pitbull mix (Korv, who weighs 90 lbs) and she shares custody with her ex for Whitney, a German Shepard/ ?? (I think doberman, they think greyhound) mix who weighs 110 lb now -she's overweight at the present.
Love & light, stid.
Take care, stid!
