Sorry flosey, it flipped as I tried to type :(
Fudge! I was entering my last word & it flipped!
didn't realise it was that late... of I'm up, I try to be here to clue people trying to finish... we've just had so many small grids lately...
You got 54 words in that little bit of time? well done Nef!
No Kate; I'd whittled it down to 20 earlier; I just couldn't find that stupid solar!
solar?
No, that's a typo now. (DH is up and interrupting me, his legs were so spastic they woke him up. And then he told me he took a med he shouldn't have!<smh>
Sowar was the word I didn't get in on time
found a seabird
uh oh.... everything okay now? Wrong meds are not good.... he will have to help you hunt words. Hi harp :()
flock of them harp :0
Yikes,nef
yu[
he took a 24 hour med for his diabetes; but (considering he's been running high again lately) I'll just make sure we have a few glucose tabs at my bedside (He thought he was taking something for the spasticity; they aren't spelled anywhere near the same either)
Clues are up
thanks Lickety
thank you locket!
lickety
Jeepers Nef...hope the last dose was long enough ago that glucose isn't needed
TY Lickety!!
I think I should give up and go to bed; It turns out he didn't take the medication for his spastic legs!
Uh... nurse time. Come back later when things calm down - if you're not tired. This looks like a difficult grid
He's supposed to take it at breakfast; we'll just have to monitor it closely through tomorrow.
might have to adjust his dosage time for a while if #s are too hiogh
Hope all goes well tonight for you both Nef. Take care!
59 down, 92 for tomorrow, good night all
good night flosey, is the thumb behaving better today?
It's not too high; this med will drop his blood sugars too low. (he's kind of a handful this weekend; it's too hot for him & he wants to go & DO stuff; but heat worsens his MS symptoms.
And I am heading off to bed. Good Night; and happy Babbling!
NIters Nef. Sweet dreams. :)

yw...
penquis, how was your OB vacation?
it was very nice.... a little cooler than usual, but no rain....
Great.
and your hike?
Excellent--beautiful, strenuous, invigorating. 50+ miles in 5 days.
cool....a friend of mine has done the big 3....Appalachian, Pacific Crest, and Continental Divide....and he did not start until he was in his late 50s....
he wrote a book about the CD trail experience...."In the Path of Young Bulls", I think it's called....
the only Pacific Crest I'm going to do is brushing my teeth at the ocean
scrab what was your start and stop points on this hike?
Wow! The through-hikers absolutely amazed and inspired me. Such endurance and drive.
hah....same here, ru....
ruru you are supposed to rinse with salt water not brush your teeth with it
We did Swift Run Gap to Little Stony Man.
yes, he had some amazing and scary experiences....
We saw 3 black bears and lots of smelly, grubby hikers.
i once brushed my teeth with vodka on a train in Russia....it was cheaper to buy vodka than to buy bottled water....
I will be an AT section hiker now.
pen do you remember doing that?
my friend hiked through extremely hot, dry conditions and frigid temps and icy conditions...
I stopped in Harpers Ferry and Leesburg on my drive back, to rekindle my interest in the Civil War.
yes, MLF, I do remember it well... the vodka was about $2 a bottle....
vodka and brushing your teeth that is?
that must have been fun too?
We spoke to so many thru-hikers. Average daily distance = 20 miles. Most challenging part thus far for them was snow and cold in the Smokies.
i enjoyed going to Harpers Ferry....went there when i visited friends in Harrisburg....also went to Manassas (sp?) and Gettysburg on that trip....
I haven't been to any of those places in years pen
I want to visit other Civil War sites now.
it was not really fun....vodka and mint flavored disposable toothbrushes don't mix very well...
my friend in Harrisburg was a Civil War buff and originally from Maine....he was like a tour guide...
Desperate measures, penquis.
(quietly barfs)
yup...
I can't stand the taste of alcohol in the morning
I went to a library in Leesburg to escape the heat (93) and humidity for a few hours but I went into the history and archival library by mistake. A librarian was so excited to have a visitor that he jabbered for 45 minutes about Virginia and Civil War history.
nice....i enjoy stuff like that...
They have records for each regiment and soldier.
we're about to have a new Civil War in the NFL now too
Our country already has an ongoing Civil War.
well.. that's true also
yes...in more ways than one...
The librarian told me that the Civil War has never ended in the south. Confederate flags are flown everywhere.
even some in Maine....
I find it funny that the racists get mad at black athletes for not standing for the flag, yet don't mind flying their Confederate Flags next to the US Flag.
Ugh
true. my husband says they are the battle flag, not the flag of the confederacy.
im6?
nm
im 6...usually with a gerund ending .... like an im****ing disaster....
TY
yw...
clue for the O please?
I was just going to ask the same thing, HH.

the first part of Molly's clue is: Freud's **, ego, super ego
i don't think that was what she was referring to....she was referring to an ep*c movie....or book....

Sit in your Faraday Cage to stay away from these waves, sarca.
Or, stay away from high tension power lines that emit same.

Oh Judi, your physics teacher would be so proud
Well, thanks. But, I never took physics.
I know the waves are electromagnetic, but I still can't get the word!
Think abbreviation

Yes, it's not really a word.
I feel like I have tried every combination of letters possible. This word is just hiding from me.

Oh. That was it. (And whoops.)
There ya go!
:-)
I'm inclined to give you a pass on it as it's not a real word anyhow
It's more like the noise I made when I typed it into the wrong box...
Blah. Gotta throw in the towel. Too many chores await before dinner. *POOF*
Natasha and I live in the same state, so we occasionally share brain waves
We do? I'm in MD... thought you were in Pleasantville. I did used to live in Mohegan Lake but left in '97
Whew, finally finished!. Fewer annoying babblets than usual! Have a good evening all and I hope some of you have better weather than we are "enjoying"
Yeah, I'm right there in Floodsville with you.
I'm just grateful we're home and not at the beach like a lot of folks! Hours of bridge traffic to sit inside isn't my idea of a good time.
I never to to the shore on holiday weekends. Not a big fan of crowds and hours of traffic.
