oh flosey. i am over the moon. went for 3 monthly review with gp yesterday. i started the cardiac maintenance program in April. an hour every Thursday in the gym.
i have lost 2 kg and 2cm from around my ball of a tummy.

don is okay except for a rather nasty cold. i have him using Painaway cream on his knees which is helping with the arthritis. for the cold, i am making a hot drink of lemon juice, honey and 2 aspirin 3 times a day. seems to be helping him.

Question to all of you regular Babblers: What percentage of words do you think you get most days if you're doing it all on your own. No clues from anyone and no help from Lickety? My friend and I have been doing it for years, rarely asking for help, and average a little over 60%. What say you all? And, Douglas, I love that song!
I shoot for about 2/3. But if it's a very small grid I try to finish.
I don't even know if the song "Ahab the Arab" by Ray Stevens could even be recorded these days.
Poor Richard, I try for nbt, nbs, and at least halfway every day. I keep track in my profile of the number of grids I have finished without listing - currently I am at 32.
poor richard, I've been babbling for many years and I have to say that it depends on the grid as to how far I get before turning to other resources. Once I start a grid I like to complete it, I must admit.
And now I'm wondering if poor richard is lacking in money or just looking for sympathy?

Haz1558, LOL. It's just that it's always been a great challenge for my friend and I. I don't like to spend that much time on it, just give it a good run. What I often do, however, is check the word list the following day, especially after a day like two days ago when there were something like 46 ch words and I could only find 32 of them. Drives me nuts. And of course, often I'll have to do a face palm when I see an easy one I missed.
I know what you mean. You can tie yourself up in knots with this game and if the words are twisty, they just don't pop out.
Nothing beats the first run through when you're all optimistic and the words flow easily. I do enjoy the search for the stragglers, though.

Someone else's wall. I said that I thought Roseanne would end up on another network, later than prime time, and become a much edgier show. They replied that I don't know what I'm talking about. "The show is over. Period." etc etc
There's no arguing with an idiot jane. I wouldn't worry about it.
I left the comment up and added. "Sorry for the snarkiness. I'm going to go eat cookies and practice the harp now." He replied that he should not have said i don't understand... All is good.
:) It's become much to easy to be uncivil - especially whenyou're online... some people need to have that said once in a while.
I am loathe to put anything on FB now because they all come out of the woodwork with really spiteful comments. People who are afraid to say things face to face hide behind their anonimity on FB

I would not be surprised if a network picks up, or starts, a show with Roseanne. But it will not be any of the mainstream networks, and it won't be the re-boot of the show. Too many actors have quit the show.
