Clues are up
de8
Thank you Lickety :)
hi, TK! May I call you TK?
as long as you don't call me late for cocktail hour ;) <waves>
Got a dress to wear to the wedding I'm going to in Tel Aviv. The couple said "wear something sparkly!" so I went to unfamiliar parts of macy's and sparkly shall I be.
[waves back]
I am stirred yet not shaken, TK (;
That shou8ld be a great trip melon... a tad warm, but what an experience....and you will be all sparkly and effervescent and everything ;)
That's the plan. My shoes are a tad sensible, but hey, the better to dance in! I'll probably bring my Bloch split-sole dance sneakers. They're clunky-cool.
You can't "hora all night" in six inch spikes... good plan! (and they just take up luggage room ( one wear but space in suitcase.) The sneaks sound like a great idea - comfies just in case :)
Will you be spending some extra time there to tour around?
The wedding party has planned day trips for us. And I will be meeting up with a fellow Babbler!
My son and I are staying steps from the beach, so I'll loll in the sand a bit, too.
Oooh That's tight we do have a coupe from over there! That will be quite a time for you - doing a grand tour and a meet up as well!
after that, on to Paris for bit, then home.
Soooo, who is getting married, may i ask?
The son of my former neighbor. Her kids and mine are friends.
That is realy great that they invited you too! I bet you can't wait... school is finished for the year, and a fantabulous trip to look ahead to... when are you heading there?
Clue for the solo E row 3, col 4?
Late June thru early July.
sorry, no gots the lone E
Yeah, I am decompressing from the school year. Catching up on at least a month of neglected housework. I like coming home to something a bit nicer than my usual mess.
when you finish with your housdework....wanna come this way? ;)
ummmm. . . nope XD
er 5
haha...worth a shot! Don'ty blame you a bit!

Good morning all. May I please have a clue for pr6-21? Thanks
Hello, Gapeach I have just started but will look with you.
Hi there, zooz. Thank you. How is your mother?
Mother seems to be doing better at the moment. So I am hoping the medicine she is taking is doing the job! Thank you for asking.
Hope all is wel with you?
Okay I have found a pr 6/21
Do you have the PR 7/21 food source for amino acids like meats etc ?
Doing better also. It was a little rough when we had 3 weeks of rain. Difficult to breathe. Better now. Thanks.
Good to hear, Gapeach!
I don't have the pr6-21, zooz.
I know but do you have the PR 7/32?
Oh I see yehh sorry I put pr 7/21 instead of pr 7/32
No, the last pr6 is pr6-30.
If you have the PR 7/32 just take away the last letter.
The pr 7/32 is a food source the provides amino acids like meats...Your body needs vitamins and PR 7 to live. And PR7 is mostly from meats.
PR 6/21 not amatuer + first two letters of the number after nine + 3rd vowel
Will you "dumb it down" please.....I'm in the half asleep stage..LOL
Just did below your latest commetn, Gapeach :-)
Comment*
Oh, I see it now. tein
Yep take away the N and you have the pr 6/21
Got both of them. Thanks so much.
You are more than welcome :-)
good morning zooz and peach :)
Hello, TK :-)
I think I'd better hit the pillows now....too sleepy to concentrate. Oh, Hi there, Kate. Blessings all.
Niters peach, sleep well!
Hope you have a nice deep sleep, Gapeach. Wake up full of beans in the morning!
I see your mum is doing better now zooz-good news!
Yes it is bless her...She worries a lot with dad being frail so will be nice for her to try and get back to some sort of normality.
so the pills are really helping with her pain? (assuming she still refuses to consider surgery...) It must be so frustrating for them, when they aren't as spry as they once were. Is father's hernia healing at all? It must be so di8fficult for you to manage, but at least you have the time to see to them properly. :)
The conversation over what to eat is always the same every single day. It goeas as follows and these are the exact words. ME : What would both both like to eat today" Mother : " Not sure what are you having" (that is to my dad) : Dad " don't know what are you going to have"
And then they repeat the same a over again and then they settle on roughly the same as what they had the day before and the day before that. The only time they will eat anything different is when I do a Sunday roast.
Yes I think she will still need to have surgery at some point though.
LOL zooz - so the key to a long, happy marriage is to not put anyone out, always consider your partner's wishes (and go along if you don't have a strong opinion) :D
I think you have it in a nutshell, TK LOL
I can not suggest any foods as they do not like any of them lol plus dad will not eat anything that has flavour and mother is too worried to eat anything out of the norm incase it usets her stomach etc.
So for dad it is always mash potato fried egg and mushy peas of which he winds them all up into a heap and eats it..YUCK!
It's likely that their tastebuds aren't what they once were... perhaps give them a little curry take away one day, just as a change? Does this mean that your mum *might* consider the surgery at some point? Really, the sooner, the better...and then she will be well on her way back to her "normal". I hope she thinks about it more.
Cottage pie perhaps? (can't stand meals being mucked about on the late, it's very unappetising to me...)
Curry is 100% out of the question for them ( I love curry)
I love a good curry too. Have been vraving one for ages. Just bought a butter chicken cooking sauce, as there's no Indian in this little town. Going to cook up sime basmati and have a feast :D
I have spoken to mother about all the pros and cons of the surgery but it is her decision in the end. But it is very frustrating when they seem not to want to help themselves. I know she will be scared but not sure what else to do but hope.
Sounds delish, TK Hope you enjoy when you do it!
She did seem quite adamant about "the knife" but perhaps it will sink home that the incision is small and recovery is much quicker... I hope she accedes - it is to both their advantage fi she does it.
I really felt like a lamb curry or tika masala, but the little store I was in didn't have any of those... *sighh* the trials and tribulations of living in a small town with limited groceries...strictly white bread here ;)
Yep that is what I tell her. what would you rather all this pain and not eating what you want to eat all the time or a quick snip and a coupe of weeks of dis-comfort and then back to normal. But talking about it is easy...doing it is a different story.
From what I have gathered, it's not so much the being put under, as the cut itself - is that right? Everyne has their thing that they really don't want to deal with.
Let's hope the meds she has do help. She must keep up her strength or surgery won't even be possible. I am sorry for her pain and hope that there is some relief for all of you soon.
Yeah I think it is the thought of going under as she has been in her younger days and was sick as a dog for ages afterward and also the thought of a knife cutting into her.
Bonjour
Her doctor should know that zooz. Some people have nasty reactins to some anesthesia - but there are alternates that can be used...your mom should know that too.
Who are you tlking about?
{{{(((ruby)))}}}
We are not that far yet. She had to have cameras where no one wants cameras but on the day her blood pressure was too hight so she has had to go away and take tablets to lower it. This is going to drag on and on I can see it.
Hello, Ruby!
My mother, Ruby.
134 wors earlier, but life got in the way. 3 nurses and my Jérome
Lets talk about something else I bet her ears are burning red.
I do remember that zooz - what a big to-do all for nothing... and so much trouble just to get her there,.
Oh my, l'm sorry she has to go through someething at her (my) age.
Life getting in the way is good ruby! I am glad to hear that...and Jerome (is he your new gardener gent?)
No, Jérôme comes 4X/week for a 15 minute massage. lt's very pleasant & he's really kind (and big ads a beear, so gives great hugs!).
I was trying to get the word odea to take and cold not understand why it wouldn't until I realised it is a D not na O LOL
Poor zooz needs a cuppa!
oh ruby... I forgot about the massage - you are soooo spoiled! (and HUGS too!!!!)
Ooh, Ruby! You must be all relaxed now after that massage.
The nurses arrived at 8, much too early! So it threw off ther wholemorning
I saw a post about your heron coming for breakfast again. Glad to see he is still a regular. I guess the pups don't bother with him?
Ah well at least that is out of the way.
I bet the fish don't see it that way, TK :-)
Rufie has a specialbark when he sees the heron, he gets upset, but stays on the deck, j_st watching and barking
The nurses seem to pop in whenever it suits them ruby - sometimes you wasit and wait... no real schedule for them except for the days (not the time)?
Exactly and l can't rush too much and risk falling down the stairs
LOL zooz, I'm sure Mr. Heron doesn't give a fig for what his breakfast is thinking :D
Quite right ruby. You take your time. If they can't give you a head's up, then they may just have to wait upon your convenience ;)
Just nipping off to make a fresh cup of rosie lee!
Just nipping off to make a fresh cup of rosie lee!
Mmmmmm :D Nothing like a good cuppa to get the little grey cells energised!
The heron is so beautiful that l don't begrudge him
We have some here too ruby, though I don't often catch a glimpse of them..grey, blue and i saw a green one once! (not so common here)
As he flies off, l can see his blue "shoulders", otherwise he's all white and very big
They are so majestic.. I love to see them in flight or even wading for their dinner...
Are you getting your evergreens wrangled and tamed?
They carried away a couple of truckloads and the garden looks much better -- the roses have room to display their loveliness
What kind of roses do you have ruby? I think you mentioned some white ones?
...and you said your peonies were in bloom too? (Ours are barely a clump of green stalks at this point - far too soon sor buds yet)
*for
Back. what have I missed..checking.
I am disheartened (PB) here... the landlord (who knows nothing about gardening has rototilled all the beef steak tomato seedling under, along with some muscari that I rescued from the lawn...) grrr :(
not many white just red, deep red, light red, sélmon, purplish pink, salmon and pale pink climbers next tto the fig
Ha! cell in my case, TK not cells.
Ha! cell in my case, TK not cells.
Ha! cell in my case, TK not cells.
I should leave you two to chat for a bit. Dawn chorus is in full swing here and I am really tired.
l'm having trouble typing on this damned laptop
LOL zooz, we all know you have many more than one little grey cell. Perhaps they are just taking a little rest? Tea will revive them!
YOur morning was sent akilter ruby. No wonder you are h aving trouble. I had to wait quite a while to have words accepted today and the chat was taking a long time to take the input after I hit "enter"
Does anyone want a clue before I pack it in?
52 left,but l want a second beakfast
See you later
The roses sound lovely ruby. Now that they have more room and light they will take off and be glorious!
Enjoy your breakfast #2 and the word hunt later ruby! Sending you big hugs <3
Testing
I think my internet is playing up
Enjoy your brekkie, Ruby. Take care TK
Nope nothings going into the add word box will come back later.
I had to load mine more than a few times before it started behaving zooz. Hope yours is okay soon. Happy babbling!

I could overshare on this, but will restrain myself...

I have learned a lot of flora, fauna, and chemistry since becoming a Babble addict.

Eww not for that thanks! Do you like it?
no.. I'm not big on organs
other than foie Gras
my dad used to eat it.. looking at it turned my stomach
lol
How did the meet-up go, Ru? Did you all have a nice time?
oh it was great.. I really like Doren's son.
Dinner came out great.. and the wines were Stupendous..
her son said it was the best home cooked meal he's ever had :D
Glad to hear it went well! you are a good host!
naw.. most of my friends are lushes and overlook the food and go for the great wine :D
Shame to not care about the food. From what I have learnt on here is that you are a very good chef indeed!
not to boast.. but I really am a pretty good cook.. glad I have that talent
And I know you know about your wines . That goes without saying lol
the wines were AWESOME..
Nothing wrong with boasting, Ru. It is gloating that annoys me lol
hello all. What did you make ru?
Hello, M9f9l
I made an arugula salad with lemon and olive oil tossed with grilled portabella mushrooms and shaved parmesan (aged)
Ooohh.. I found a 9 all on my own! :-)
That sounds delish!
Loves parmesan regiano
for the entrée I made grilled filets of beef on top of a pile of shitake and morel mushrooms with celery and caramelized onions and garlic Taragon Flan with carrots with shallots and fresh thyme
for dessert doren's son make a peach cobbler
Okay this is getting silly now...I am getting rather hungry.
Although ot keen on celery.
Yum! That sounds amazing. I like arugula. My daughter made up a salad with it that is amazing: arugula, watermelon, sweet onion, burrata cheese, salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil and lemon zest. It's very pretty too.
it's great with the mushrooms
that sounds really good m9
A savory flan! Interesting!
garlic, chives and Tarragon .. it's delish
I had sausages and mash potato today. I think that does not compare to what you all make lol
My daughter makes savory french toast :-)
She makes 5 of our dinners a week
chanterelle mushrooms are supposed to be good too for cooking.
My dad used to take us out to get chanterelles. That was my sister's first cat's name :-)
they are.. the store didn't have any though.. they're mostly around here in October and november
That is very nice of her, M9f9l
Yup! That's their "rent" :-)
Oh LOL fair play then :-)
(who does the dishes though?)
The husband :-)
Since I work a couple noc shifts now I slept through dinner the other night and they didn't save me any. She felt badly because it's one of my FAVE dinners that she makes. So she made it again a couple nights ago.
Or the dishwasher maybe!
Actually my husband does most of the dishes!
tonight I'm having a shrimp salad
We don't have a dishwasher.
I was right!
Glad she made some more for you though, M9f9l.
I thought you meant HER husband! LOL
Yes. it's Korean lettuce wraps, she made her own ssamjang this time.
I just can not eat shrimps, mussels, cockles etc.
Love salmon darns, halibut, cod etc
Shrimp salad...could be so many things! LOL
My dad used to make mussel chowder that was very good
Many years a go now I went to a friends home for a meal with other friends and for starter they did king prawns I ate all the lettuce but lect the king prawns lol
Strangely I like the smell of mussel chowder but not the taste.
Left*
Korean lettuce looks nice and crispy.
I do love a quiche lorraine with salad and new potatoes.
Nice to see you all but I am going to retire for the evening. i know it is only 7:50 pm here but I am not feelng to good today. Happy babbling everyone!
