1:19 am

good here, tired, the weather hit 100F today, but we celebrated our 7th anniversary yesterday...and today, lol!

1:19 am

1:19 am

if i seem a little low that's why.

1:19 am

congratulations, Kam! And ugh, that is hot.

1:20 am

aw sweetie, ikr? Those kind of sessions can drain you so badly. Be good to yourself, ya hear?

1:21 am

yeah i hear. she is good i give her that.

1:22 am

it is wonderful that you have a good one. But I know it takes a lot out of one, to work through issues and pain like that. I love you, sweetie. And I am immensely proud of you.

1:23 am

thanx honey. i sort of feel a bit drained right now.

1:24 am

yeah. The only consolation I can give you is that that is normal, and it will pass... not much help right now, is it? ;) Picture me there with you, holding you and telling you you did a great job and now it is time to rest and let the subconscious do its thing.

1:25 am

*big sigh* thanx sweetie. can feel the hug.

1:25 am

good :)

1:30 am

101 down, 160 for tomorrow - I'm off to bed, goodnight all

1:35 am

terra woke me this morning, meeping and yodling. He had barfed all over the living room and doormat and carpet. Ugh, such a bad start of the day. He is sleeping at my feet now, I hope he feels better.

1:36 am

1:37 am

2:13 am

2:15 am

2:15 am

final* word

2:15 am

what a man !! our prime minister is going to apologise to all the victims of child abuse. our Royal Commission investigating child abuse in institutions has just finished.

2:16 am

WTG SPRITE !!

2:17 am

it is a horrible thing. Here in the Netherlands the same kind of thing is going on in the Yehova's Witnesses organisation. Many reports of child abuse and a loud cry for a formal investigation... they want to keep it all inside the YW and that will not do.

2:18 am

did you know that for Yehova's Witnesses, a crime can only be addressed when there are at least two witnesses??? Smooth way to make sure you will never have to investigate child abuse.

2:19 am

i hear you. our Royal Commission had court orders, making everyone who needed to be investigated had to be confronted by the commission. that include ALL christian welfare groups.

2:19 am

and people who dare to report they have been abused as a child in that organisation, are cast out and shunned.

2:19 am

disgusting isn't it?

2:19 am

it makes me sick.

2:20 am

My step-daughter was "shunned" - ha, her mom should be ashamed, hate what it did to the poor girl

2:20 am

yeah, the JW's didn't like being made to appear. ( we call them Jehovah's Witnesses)

2:20 am

amen, Kam.

2:21 am

and I am so sorry for your stepdaughter.

2:21 am

daughter is ok now though. But grandson has decided he does NOT want to see that grandmother, it's sad. He loudly declares he hates her - he's barely 13

2:21 am

poor kid, Kam. so not right.

2:22 am

poor hubby lived with it till his daughter was 18. I admire his love for his daughter and grandkids, and omg, the stuff he put up with...and is still fighting, it is ridiculous

2:22 am

ah, sorry, same here. No, the JW want to keep any contact with outsiders to a minimum. They say they have their own ways of dealing with crimes. Right. Like telling a victim of abuse it did not happen unless they can produce two witnesses.

2:23 am

sounds like grandson has a very finely tuned sense of what is good and bad, honey. If they can help him hate the crimes and actions, and forgive the person, it would help him mature a little, I think.

2:24 am

thanks for that bit of insight, sprite. He's coming up for the next week or so, and we talk a lot.

2:25 am

this is one way religion gets a bad name. It sickens me that something so beautiful and loving is used as an excuse to commit crimes and protect the criminals.

2:25 am

But he doesn't have to listen to that woman tell him he is a sinner, period.

2:25 am

amen! No he does not. He has every right not to want to see her, talk to her or have her in his life at all.

2:26 am

i'm confused Kam. HE is the sinner?? is she insane??

2:27 am

He is a great kid, and I enjoy having him here. Brings some "youth" back to the household :)

2:27 am

lovely! I wish you a great time with him.

2:27 am

She IS insane. She has now petitioned the court for more support since I have an income of my own. She thinks I should help support her, omg, she is crazed

2:28 am

i am guessing( and correctly i am sure) that life with you allows him to experience 'normal' life.

2:28 am

darlings, I am off. Not a terribly busy day, but still lots to do. *hugs* to you both. Sleep well and take care. *extra hug for my lovely friend rose*

2:28 am

{{sprite}} have a good day honey. xoxox

2:28 am

He has a great dad and mom - he lives with dad, and his mom has moved on to a new family. He loves his dad, and adores his grandpa

2:29 am

wow! She is out of her mind. Sounds like she is one of those people who feel they are 'entitled' to anything they want. Horrible.

2:29 am

He has a normal life as long as that grandmother isn't involved!

2:29 am

*poofing with hugs*

2:30 am

Reding in here about JW's: in Miami, l worked with an office full of Hispanic girls, mostly from the Dominacaan Republic.

2:30 am

Most weree JW's.

2:30 am

hi ruby.

2:30 am

Have a lovely day, sprite! I'm winding mine down, going to be busy with a kiddo in the house!

2:30 am

Hi ruby, long time! I hope you are doing ok

2:31 am

JW's can be quite nice people as long as what they believe does not effect the lives of children.

2:31 am

On day one, l told each one that we could be frieends as well as colleagues but no proselitizing andd the only talk of religion was finding cmmonalities (like angeels)

2:31 am

sorry for typos

2:32 am

good for you ruby. drawing in the boudaries is always a good start.

2:32 am

lt worked out well and some became close friends

2:33 am

There is a community here of JW's, more of themthan Jews!

2:33 am

My mom used to try to covert them to her way of thinking. It was almost funny, because neither side was going to change an opinion.

2:33 am

There''s a big Kingdom Hall, but no synaagogue

2:34 am

Straange and nobody goes to Church!place

2:35 am

For most of my friends her, Christian and Moslem, l amthe only Jew they've evermet.

Hi there, ruby. How are you?

3:13 am

l'mpretty good, thanks

3:14 am

And you?

3:14 am

And you?

3:14 am

Enjoying Spring and garden?

3:14 am

Glad to hear that.

3:15 am

I'm doing OK. I think I am, at any rate. LOL

3:15 am

Weather is crazy, but aslong as winter is over, l don't mind the daily storms

3:15 am

Did you read "A Gift from Brittany" ?

3:16 am

Weather is crazy here also.

3:16 am

No. What is it about? In French or in English?

3:17 am

Is Brittany a place or aa girl's names?

3:17 am

It is English. Was written by a woman in Atlanta. I thought of you when I read it. Brittany, France.

3:18 am

l'll order it fromAmazon

3:19 am

Well, dear, I must get ready to get some sleep. I think you will enjoy the read. Blessings.

3:20 am

Bye and thanks for the recommendation

3:59 am

Hi evryone :)

4:17 am

Hi Kate. The nurse just left aftershootingme!

4:18 am

172 worddsso far, nbt but no 8

4:19 am

hi ruby, nurse gone.. so, is the day all yours now?

4:19 am

good going on the grid, this one's a lot friendlier than yesterday's bit of misery ;) (I do have the 8, if you want it)

4:20 am

Pretty much. No housekeeper on Wednesdays, butmy friend Nathalie comes at five to help with dinner for me and the pups

4:22 am

stats for the 8 would be nice; at leastl'll know where to look

4:22 am

So, a free day, and company to look forwaed to later :) Is she the one that walks R&R for you? Does she stay for dinner with you for a little social time?

4:23 am

MO 7/32, MO 8/45 combo

4:24 am

There is an awful windstorm ggoing on right now; hopefully it will push away the bad weather and "let the Sunshine in".

4:25 am

You could send a bit of the wind our way; very calm here right now... are the winds very high, so dangerous?

4:26 am

Now that Dangerous, except for tall flowers like delphiniums and lilies. l just don't like it

4:26 am

not*

4:27 am

Looking for the 8, l found another mo6/7

4:27 am

ah.. I used to stake the delphinium spokes with slim bamboo... even heavy rain could be too much for them.. I love delphiniums!

4:29 am

well done on the mo 6,7... there are lots of them, but pretty easy to fish out :)

4:29 am

I've staked them and they're on the deck but it's the first timel've had them & they're beauttiful. One plant has complex violet flowers and many buds and the other is pale blue and white, akso with many stalks

4:30 am

l planted them in Chinese bronze pots but will have them planted in one of thee borders if they survive the summer

4:32 am

They are all so pretty. I had some lovely simpler forms of them... something like "glass" and maybe butterfly in the name... it will come to me. I actually opreferred them to my fancy standard spikes of double blooms...

4:33 am

They should survive ruby, but they are more tender and not long-lived perennials. don't leave it too late to get them in the ground. They need a good head start putting new roots down before winter somes

4:33 am

Bet they look wonderful in the pots on deck!

4:33 am

l love the purple ones and since they're in a pot on a ceramic pedestal, the flowers are at eye-level

4:34 am

<3 <3 <3

4:35 am

The deck is spleendiud but not too serious with some whimsical touhes (a small metal "folkloric reindeer" and a wornout grey rabbit

4:35 am

sorry for typos

4:36 am

I like older decorations - gives the place a little character. Not fond of things that look too showroom perfect, if you know what I mean...

4:37 am

That's rich - you're apologising to the typo queen for mistakes? LOLOLOL

4:39 am

Exactly! The house is an ecclectic (sp?) mix of fine antiques (from husband) and my upsatet NY collections

4:39 am

of ordinary old objets

4:40 am

The mix is interetting, especially for Francr because NOTHING is French

4:40 am

Sounds wonderful to me! Like that people actually live there. U always wonder about things that look too ordered on the surface. seems to indicate thigs are not as they seem below...

4:41 am

Are the French neighbours taken aback? <chuckling>

4:41 am

The house is an aesthetic success but, without heat, not a practical one. And too many stairs for this old lady!

4:42 am

No, they love it

4:43 am

l didn't find the 8, but l need to lie down

4:43 am

See you later

4:44 am

See you later ruby. Enjoy your rest... and dinner tonight!
