There are some good wines to be found in Naramata district though. I usually find the ones I like best on the west side of the lake --- they are not as acidic as the ones produced on the east side -- difference in soil composition, I suppose
it's cooler there apparently
The vinyards in Naramata are all on top of a long bluff that runs about 250 feet above the lake.
and certainly not as hot as around oosoyoos, where burrowing owl is
