That sounds like plenty for one day! I still have to shower...it was so hot today, and hubby told me last night he needed clean jeans, so laundry was an unexpected chore today. I lost track while he was gone...of course I had to catch up! All is done for the day except shower and sleep, then Jonathan's party tomorrow. Pizza a my usual breakfast time just doesn't float my boat, though!

lol no, wouldn't work for me either. Unexpected chores can seriously upset my energy levels too. Also, ever since my burnout, I kinda lost my ability to quickly adapt. I need time to change course nowadays. Stupid but true.
I completely understand. Hubby has finally learned I can't do "last minute" stuff any longer. I can't switch gears that quickly
exactly. Give me a little time, and I will come around. But when pushed to quickly change course, my brain simply shuts down.
I *did* have laundry planned for today, just not a load that need lots of attention prior to tossing into the washer. Poor washer is old and tired, takes too much effort...need new one soon. But we're at the point where everything is needing replacing, so make do with the items that aren't completely broken.

Yeah - this has been our year for broken things - I think the front door is next. I fixed the washer while he was gone a few months ago, but it kept stopping. He stuck something in the part to hold it in place permanently, so if it works, I'm happy!

Gorilla tape to the rescue again! But we need a new door, have needed it for years. It is a cheap pressboard thing that swells and shrinks depending on weather. Now that the dog flap fell off again, he says "let's just get a new one." Again. We went through this last time the flap fell off, and the time before...yada yada
ugh yeah. Sounds so familiar. We are gonna talk to a ... cannot find the word... person who sells your house for you... to find out what we need to fix and do about the house before we can sell it. Also a scary thing.
I told him tonight, new door. Then new dog door to go in new door. And several replacement flaps before they get discontinued...I swear, these companies make the flaps obsolete so quickly that anyone with more than one critter has a problem before long.

Realtor. Ugh, don't want to do that again. I've been here since 2000. Selling is a pain. Every little thing has to be so tidy, and you can't even live in your own house while it's on the market. That is stressy.

it is our first time for selling our house. I am scared as can be. My beloved suggested yesterday that we would do it ourselves, without the help of a realtor. I went kinda ballistic.

You are correct. I would never try it by myself. There are so many things that can go awry. I bought this place "as is" so I offered a little over what they were asking, with the stipulation that they pay to fix anything that was found to fail inspections. They paid a LOT of money to just fix the septic, not to mention a zillion other problems. This is my third house, hopefully the last - if we can add a room or two. I bought as a single woman, never expecting to find hubby! I wouldn't trade him for the world, but sure would have bought a larger place if I had known he was in my future, lol!

He and his sister have made the heartbreaking (yet correct) decision that she needs full time care - more than his sister can provide, so they're looking at homes. They're devastated, though

It's mostly through being 86 - a respiratory infection - she's actually medically better, but very week, incontinent, senile and has difficulty feeding herself
