hand tremors
no biggie... are they bothering you a lot today?
yes, they've revved up so my mantra has become backspace, backspace, backspace, lol
Damn and drat :( nothing to for for it?
Damn and drat :( nothing to for for it?
they're checking me for ms
hint for that re7?
nvm, pulled a peri
that would be wonderful - meds or surgery (?) fingers crossed that they find something that will work.
no, multiple sclerosis, lol
ooops, I didn't see the ms at the end of your other post. time to zoom up one. Sorry to hear this Rain. Are the hand tremors the worst of it now?
tremors and balance issues; my legs have been pretty good lately
Oh my, Rain, that sounds so much like my hubby with Parkinson's. Scary stuff when your body stops working normally. I hope they get it figured out for you soon.
Hi Kate, Hursy, flosey, jessmom, and all
hi Kam
found a sea bird
Thanks so much Kam -yes, I get so annoyed when my body won't do what I tell it to do
Glad to hear the legs are doing well. Hope balance improves/stabilises. Mobility is so important for independence.
Hi jane and Kam :)
The balance issues never improve - I look like a walking windmill, lol
I shouldn't laugh, but the image that popped into my head.... so glad you have a sense og humour about it!
every day without pain is a blessing
YUGE is not a word, I'm soooo disappointed ;)
strangers are very kind when I have to grab on to them, lol

Congratulations lurking dizgrannie !!!!
Good Evening. Hi Rainiqui, my hubby has had MS for 31 years now. His symptoms wax & wain; there are lots of meds to help with the troublesome symptoms these days.
Nef!!! Hello and the perfect person to pop in now <3
Hi Kate - & everyone else here too!
Hi Nef - I'm between flares right now
That's good. My husband has been bad enough he spent a whole summer in a rehab unit & was confined to a wheel chair; (that was back in 2010) but he's getting around as a "wall-walker" (meaning he holdson to the walls & forgets to use his cane a lot) or uses 1 of his many canes. The other night he got silly on me & decided to dust the cold air vents in the living room & then couldn't get up. It took both my son & me to get him off the floor after that (& he used the wheeled walker for the rest of the evening).
found a teeny bird
does anyone have a clue for ja6/45 please
not I flosey, (I'm just starting now) but I'll look
German spelling of the Ja 5
thanks Nef
add an vowel for the ja5
blue ja* + half a childish name for a horse
ja6... the first part of a really truly awful kind of alcohol
or rather, insert
no flosey, sorry that's a JA 6/39
my clue is for the ja6/45
tks Kate, had that one
thanks granny, that's a weird one!
oh, wrong ja from me.
nbt nbs
Hello rose, and ty for the correct JA 6 :D
cooee and g'day from me. {{kate}} {{flosey}} {{nef}} {{q}} {{jane}}
Hi Q :)
Oh I know all about wall walking Nef - my problem is falling backward, oh joy, oh bliss
good day today rose?
Good night all !
hi, kate.
yes dear kate. i was exhausted after the "garage" sale at my church. did you know there are TWO 5 o'clocks in 24 hours?
Good night Rain! Take care <3
The wall walking is less reliable than canes (according to the docs & me; but he insists it works well.
{{rain}} bless you dearest, may the doctors come up with an acceptable answer soon.
Oh, granny! Did you "see" both?
Thank you all so very much !!!
Good night Rain!
TWO 5 o'clocks? You don't say..... I just want to know about, yuou know... the purple item you threatened put for sale ;)
i was up for the first... i even beat the birds... mwah
*giggle* i didn't dare, kate
Troublesome as it may be Nef, at least he's trying - you can't discount the sense of frustration he must feel about not doing his share...men!
Long day rose, are you slated for a quick nap rhen?
Wow! I don't know if I've ever seen the 5 AM on waking; but I worked nights & loved to see the sun come up when I was working at the hospital; (there was a lovely view of the sunrise over a park each day)
LOL, come work for a railway Nef... you can start work well before the birds even think of chirping... nice to go to work as the sun rises (in the summer ) though.
i slept well last night, kate. and had a very slow morning. said my prayers here today.
Kate, he's of Swedish/Irish descent. You know what they say about it? You can always tell a Swede; But you can't tell him much... (There were all sorts of things he could have done that day; but he wanted to dust instead!)
You've had more than a full day already rose, take away for dinner? ;)
LOL Nef... what can you do but love them all the more? Difficult for you though.
our meal is already prepared kate. DH has only to bring it to the table.
You're so organised rose! Wonder if DH knows jsut how lucky he is <3
yeah, Kate, I love him with all my heart; but sometimes hes a pain in the butt! ;-)
I get it Nef... the men we marry can be a pain in the rear. <makes tender clucking sounds at Nef, in order to soothere>
{{{Nef}}} Methinks you haven't had your RDA of hugz today.. and not nearly enough thanks either.
I'm okay, Kate. Sometimes we all complain about the others in our lives; I think it's okay to vent a bit; -it keeps us from blowing up!
Thanks, though. :-)
Very true about the venting Nef.. but tea and sympathy goes a long way too.
I am trying to be a bit more "blue" (from True Colours/Personality Dimensions) I tend to ward the clinical and scientific, dealing with the problem more than the peole dealing with the problem...darn introverts. :(
It's not that I don't care...I jsut have a funny way of showing it.
half way and off to bed, hopefully finish tomorrow
good night all
Kate, you're just fine the way you are. From what I've seen & know about you here & on FB; you'd be one of the last people I'd call an introvert!
sweetest of dreams dear flosey. xoxox
Good nioght flosey, I hope you have a good rest :)
Niters, flosey!
thanks all and good luck
gawd.. I am completely an introvert Nef... if this chog was in a room and we were all there, I'd be off in a corner by myself warching or taklking intensely with one person. Wouldn't be in the midst of a gaggle of a jabber session. I might manage for a whilem but it would totally sap me.
did the sale go well for the church today rose?
not really kate. i am very disappointed. such a lot of hard work with very small reward.
How very disappointing rose :( So sorry to hear this! I know you worked hard for your part. What was the money meant to be for?
we had a glorious spring day. but the vicar would not advertise the event earlier than 10 days previous. also, we have two services each sunday. the people who attend at 8am stubbornly refuse to support any fund raising efforts made. we were raising funds for overseas aid through anglicare.
even if they had come only for a cuppa and scone with jam and cream, it would have made such a showing of unity.
i am seriously considering writing an open letter to the whole congregation, asking do they think church is only on a sunday?
Oh, grannyrose ... what my Mum called 'High Days and Holy Days, Jews'. Very disappointing, for you, and the other workers
That's a great question, granny. I don't understand how people think that (as Christians) they fulfill their "duty" as Christians by *just* going to church on Sunday for 1 service.
Oh dear, politics rears its ugly head even in church. Are they 2 separate froups that simply share the same house of worship? and I see from your comment it is the same congregation.. how very odd rose. It really is a shame that they aren't supporting the programs. It makes little sense to me. I tried to do a search - this is through the Anglican church?
What I got from this is the people who "worship" at 8 don't support fund raising??? Did I read it wrong?
yes kate. i am trying desperately to see God's hand in this. try anglican overseas aid..
Hi Christine :) What your mum said... one hour Sunday Christians... as long as there's no football game on :(
no kam, you got it right.
that's what I found rose.. so I did a very quick scan.
christine, we call them c & e's... christmas and easter.
Rose, I'm so sorry - I know you put your heart and soul into all you do. Sigh.
it is so disappointing to have these lovely old people so dug in their ruts.
may i share exactly how i feel?
There's a back room story to this rose, surely. Like, maybe the 8 AM people did not support the vicar and wanted a different one? Disagreeing over how money should be spent for upkeep etc. There must be something that got them so polarised in the first place.
i love the christ light in these people, but despise their acts and words. hard to separate these i know, but i can. i still love them as brothers and sisters in christ.
Absolutely rose, share away. You gotta vent, as Nef said earlier. Better here than yelling from the pulpit at an inappropriate time
you got it in one kate. they loath change... and our vicar is a very NEW broom.
I'd like to stay & chat some more; but right now I spilled some crumbs on my mousepad & then couldn't figure out where my mouse was. It's bedtime (when you can't find the mouse that's in your hand!!!) Good Night everyone; & Happy Babbling too.
I have my own opinions on the church my mother -and her ancestors - belonged to - at Mom's memorial service my family sat in the back row. But when my dad passed way back when, the family was seated up front, or in a secluded place to grieve alone.
Had a hunch...
Good night Nef... sweet dreams to you. May hubby have a quiet night so you get a good rest. See you (today) :)
Nite, Nef. Sleep well!
sweet dreams nef, dear.let the mouse have the crumbs
In my family, the closest family sit in front. I suppose it's all tradition. There' s a certain sense to be made of being in the back... atendees aren't seeing you in your extreme grief... in a way it's much more private for the family.
Did the seating bother you one way or another Kam? Curiosity agian, don't mean to pry....
We didn't feel comfortable - even though we were the only family there, we were "outsiders."
You are referring to your mom's memorial service?
yep, we had nothing to do with planning it, it was such a mess when she passed...my brother was in the hospital just having a heart valve replaced, and her church friends set it up, so we showed up
How very odd... often family and friend circles do not intersect, but to literally shut you out, wow.
Oh no Kam... there is hurt in those words. :(
So, was this the actual funeral service...? Not sure I understand. Thinking that her firends set up a separate memorial service for her as well???
Her friends needed to do the memorial at church. Our little tiny family was fine without them. There was no funeral, she didn't want one.
I see, that does make it tricky, with your mom not wanting a funeral... While I can understand her friends wanting to have a memorial for her, they should have made you feel welcome. grief is no excuse for incivility. Funerals and memorials are really coping mechanisms for the living.. a way to funtion through those first few awful days...and certainly a way of starting to get closure. So important. I am sorry that they were so very rude to you and your little family. No excuse in the world for that.
I can see that it left a bad taste in yor mouth :(
guess it did...it was an awful time
It's tough enough to deal with you mom's opassing, but with other important things like your brother's surgery going on as well, it does sound horrid. Sirry to have dredged up such bad memories for you (((Kam}}} Did this happen long ago?
2011
The month after I got married...my poor hubby! Then my brother up and died when he went for a second valve replacement, and he had messed her trust up so badly...omg...I'm in so much trouble over that...
So, yeah, not good memories
Oh no... still digesting all that. What a nightmare. :(
She had dementia and somehow my brother got her to change the trust, and she got my name wrong...still have to fix that to move forward. How do you explain that your own mother didn't know your name?
That really wasn't so long ago... and like you said - right after you got married. Then your mom passed... then your brother goes in for the second replacement... what a mess. You msut have been a walking zombie for a year after that. (I jsut deleted a bunch, after seeing your new post)
Was there only you and the one brother that had the valve replacements? or do you have other sibklings?\
Walking Zombie is the most perfect description I've heard yet! Will the IRS buy that?
No other siblings
So the IRS is annoyed that all isn't taken care of yet concerning your mother's estate?
Stumbling Zombie fits better, lol!
Ya, the legs are the first to go ;)
Well, considering she didn't have my name correct on her trust, I guess the IRS hasn't found me yet! And I haven't found the funds my brother was in charge of either...omg, need to find an attorney...
I am not sure I understand how the trust was changed when your mother was unfit.. even if she had lucid times, that couldn't have been one of them if she got your name wrong... unless someone is trying to say they were named and not you? Wonderinf why your brother would have tried to get her to change the trust. What kind of a lawyer would undertake this?
Think I get it.. but you said that yor brother passed away after the second valve replacement?
and yes, you need a decent attourney who can get a good forensic accountant in to look at this. If taxes owing, the clock is ticking. They are best to advise, so they will need to get tax expertise lawyer to advise as well.
Was your brother also in the same state?
The kind of lawyer that wanted me to sign a "Christian Agreement" that wasn't even legal. I refused, then brother got better, and took it over. I think he mismanaged things for 3 years before he passed - and left everything to his roommate and all the money went to a woman he named as executor - I never even knew they moved him from one hospital to another! Family problems suck. I got a call a few hours before he died - and I had been made to believe that he was getting better. Then his friends all lied to the mortuary...gads, what a disaster, and no, he was not in the same state
Mom never got officially diagnosed with dementia - brother stuck her on hospice asap..enough for Babble, let's get some cheery chat going again! PM me on FB
What a mess is an understatement. You need more htan a competent lawyer, yo need someone good, Can the ABA help direct you in that regard?
Bonjour! Ami mistaken, or is this the worst grid ever, besides being too small for Sunday
rove
good morning all
good morning Sprite - I've just come back to, hopefully, finish!!!!
*hugs flosey* Hello dear lady, great to see you. How have you been?
have been fine thanks Sprite - one son, wife and my very dear grandson have been out for a wonderful visit
oh how lovely!
my other son and wife are coming soon
it always makes me so happy for you, to hear how close your family is.
they're still living in Ontario
our daughter is visiting our son atm, in scotland!
yes Sprite, I'm so glad we've managed to maintain a very close relationship with all 4 of our kids and their families
you did well, dear lady.
how nice about your son and daughter
yeah they are close too. I am grateful we were able to stop the disfumctionality in our family at our level. Very thankful for the great relationship we have among the 4 of us, plus Tim's girlfriend.
easy halfway!
a huge congratulations to you Sprite to manage to overcome the disfunctionality within the family
thank you, flosey. I am deeply grateful for it.
cooee and {{sprite}} coming in with eyes which are screaming for closure...loll
*hugs rose* Hello my dear friend! Glad you managed to make it in here for a bit, lol. Missed you yesterday. Realtor was really happy with how our house looked. He thinks it may mean positive things for the price we will get for it.
oh yay !!! all your work paying off in spades. well done
oh and we do not have to do a lot more before the first lookiesees come! Just one more small wall to paper, that is all. And keep things very empty and clean, of course.
and you, sweetie, how are you doing?
still very tired... trying to make it to a more normal bed-time tonight.
you are my hero, you know that.
bless you sweetie. thanx for that. xoxox
I will send you the link to funda once the house is on the market. You can see all the pictures the realtor had made then! And marvel at how empty and clean and BIG things look, lol.
will look forward to that.
*holds rose in a gentle hug*
*snuggles in* mmmm, nice
Caya is visiting Tim and we are dogsitting her puppy. It is a sweet little thing. Terra is not amused though :)
poor terra... hard to share a territory which is all his for so long. bless him !
it is not even that. He just does not like puppies. Too energetic to his taste. He wants to be left in peace.
plus he is NOT at all dominant. If he would put the pup in its place, even just once, he would get the peace he wants. But he does not and so the little one keeps on trying, lol
mwah.... just remembered i needed to go to the bank today. i mentioned it twice to DH who promptly, apparently, forgot.i am so frustrated. i am in pain, tired, distracted out of my head, AND i'm the one who has to remember everything. *sob*
it is high time Don grows up, honey. He needs to step up to the plate when you cannot.
i could just SCREEEEAAAAMMMM !!!!!!
I hear ya. Scream louder and for real. And sweetie, the only way to teach him is to let things go wrong, in stead of picking up the slack even when you actually cannot. Forcing yourself to do it is, to Don, like telling him you CAN do it, so he does not have to. One spoilt little boy lives inside that man :)
you can say that again, sistah.. he was the youngest and most wanted of the four siblings.
ikr? With all his lovable qualities, this one is NOT one of them, lol.
another "natural" disaster has happened. a flash flood has washed away a school and its students. they are still pulling the little bodies out of the mud.
horrible
Oh no... jsut came in..where is this rose?
Portugal?
indonesia kate, i think
Oh no.... sending you a huge hug rose... make HIM go to the bank. and scream - that'll make him pay attention.

Hi Ruby
Hi Molly
My weekend aide started this Morning, right on time and very nice
He even speaks English
Glad to hear you have some extra help
This grid is impossible for me -- only 34 words
Weekends were tough and he's a Pleasant presence
nori
l just can't chat, l Always do the same thing
I'm happy that you have someone nice
l'm going to shootmyself LOL
LOL is not in the grid, ruby
If it's any solace, I have the same problem. I would do it anyway, except that there's no more PB so I have to get up and go to the kitchen when I'm hungry.
Too much trouble but l'm starving!
See?? I told you. If we had the PB, there would be all sorts of treats for you there.
Wh said this was easy? Hmmm -- l can't imagine
This is a mean, ugly grid.
If only the dogs could cook, even Something simple
Okay, I'm gong to quote you on that one!
The dogs accept the aide which is surprising because he's very big
<-- making eggs
As I recall, the banquets you prepare for those dogs are fit for the proverbial king. No way that they're going to let you know they can do anything else but enjoy them.
In my dog-experience, the size doesn't matter -- it's the attitude.
I'm leaving you now, ruby. Going to the kitchen.....
*Making breakfast in the PB* Someone give jwr directions please : )
This is a bloody awful grid. Not liking this one even a little

Sunday, laundry Sunday. Whee.
4 left that I'm never going to find --- off for the day - bye :)
kind of a folding at home project judi?
Lots of times. when wr4/8 is in the grid, I think of ExWr4/8. She was a brave woman and told me fascinating experiences. (We got to talking a lot after she explained to me how she chose her nic.)
I'm awash in laundry.
bet you wish you went to the bleach instead
Oh to while away the day, just watching the Tide.
or just going out for a spin maybe?
Ironing out the details just puts me through the wringer.
well I'd be a starch supporter of that too
Sorry. Used a form of word in the grid. * shamed *
Tumble away from all that laundry and take a spin on the dance floor
get a load of that... Molly's here
It finally stopped raining. So, it's dryer in here already.
don't worry about using a word judi.. you were pressing for a joke
Keep the spray bottle handy in case we need to remove any stains that appear *Heaven help us*
I had a feeling Judi would Bounce back with a dryer joke
I feel I'll never Gain my freedom from this chore
Stem the Tide Judi, stem the Tide
And never fear, the Arm & Hammer watches over
Let's just all Snuggle up and forget about chores for a while. At least for a lintle while.
yeah...let's stay static free
We should stay static free, unless something spins things up.
I'd like to give a Shout out in appreciation of all the laundry puns.
I Woolite to agree with Judi
I like how no one is trying to detergent us from the subject matter
Towel we ever improve if we treat this so delicately?
I'm not sure.. but it will hamper us somehow
The fluff cycle is always better than heavy loads
are you trying to clothesline us molly :D
I shall cease my agitation of everyone and step away to do laundry AND balance the checkbook. * * * super cape billows in the wind *

Mkg, I clued the second un7 word before. It is un plus the hook letter plus anagram of what you use to bake things.
You're not very enthused about it
The opposite of UN 7,40 is also a word on the board

YAY, blueskies!!! WTG!!!
Congratulations blueskies29 on your fireworks! Way to go
Hi Min. How are you doing lately?
Hi Nef! How are you doing tonight? Welcome to the chog!
Doing okay; and you?
I am doing well Nef, thank you! I am the same way. I get here very late if I even get here at all. Haven't been here since last month. Saw a lot of new babblers here tonight
I haven't taken time to look back at the chog. Good to know there are new babblers here!
We have 2 dogs now (they are the grandsons' his mother's mentally unstable (she tried suicide); so he got the dogs and he & his dad live with us. The dogs are 15 months and a year old; 1 of them pees on the carpet in the family room & that's where my computer is; so no Babbling for me until they've gone to bed.
(That's why I don't get here often & just late at night. Out grandson is 9 yrs old now; & doing well in spite of everything)
Hi Everyone :)
Nef - our granddaughter has a dog that coudn't be broken from peeing wherever, so now the dog wears a disposable diaper when in the house -- just an idea for you.
It sounds like you have a very busy household, Nef.I've been extremely busy also. I used to be a daily babbler here. Then I was a weekly babbler. Now it seems like I am a monthly babbler!Hope it does not become yearly
Hello cybernan! How are U doing tonight?Welcome to grid
Hi nan, I *think* it's the younger dog, he's doing better now; but we still don't trust him. If he was older, I might consider it; but right now I'm still trying to get the 2 of them trained for following commands (& peeing outside)
Are you still going to different schools each day, Min? I was hoping your life would slow down.....
I got half way; but now I have to go change laundry loads. See you after the flip!
Yes, I am still working in two different schools. One of my schools tested positive for mold just 3 weeks after school started. Students & teachers had to relocate to 2 schools;elementary students in one building&middle school in another building. Since I service all grades, I have to go to both buildings which means now have to go to THREE different schools in just one week. Crazy!
Oh Nef,U just missed my long story. Nice to see you.Bye!
Any guesses for the next grid size? My guess is 448 words.
345
